It's chill, cool people working there, no annoying music, no bright colors, lights, etc. No creepy animatronic mouse serving you inedible pizza. It's only ten dollars for each kid to play, no fee for adults. They also do birthday parties and sell the play equipment. We played for almost two hours and there were enough different fun activities (rock climbing, slides, swings, trampolines, basketball courts) for the kids not to get board. My four year old loved it, and the older kids seemed to really be enjoying themselves as well. I was tempted not to write this review to keep this place to myself ;)

It's a kid place so its definitely not the cleanest place and one annoying thing: everyone dumps their jackets and stuff on the front tables instead of actually using the designated area, so there's nowhere to sit or organize your things. I mean it'd be nice to actually use the tables to eat the pizza you're ordering there. Not terrible, not amazing. Fine for a quick play session, and getting the kids out the house. Bring headphones to drown out the noise (depending on how old your kids are).

It was trippy with the black lights and projections on the wall of various etherial scenes. We all dressed up in the protective suit, googles and boots. The kids were a little small for the suits, but they managed to make it work! Once inside, you can throw paint all over, stomp on the artwork with your feet (a personal favorite of my kids), and twist the painting around to have the colors spread in all directions. We were joined by a staffer the entire time who took a few pictures along with a cute video. I recommend having the staffer snap photos with your own iPhone as mine came out a little better. But I did enjoy the video. At the end of the experience, they pack up the painting in gigantic pizza boxes. The paint is expected to dry in 24-48 hours, though ours took a much longer. I recommend putting the paintings outside on a dry day in the sun to help move that along. Granted ours had a lot of paint on it, but even after 48 hours it was super wet. This is a blast. And it's located in a classic 1990s mall. The kids LOVED this mall, complete with a Spencers gift store, bowling alley and reptile interactive experience. In fact, we'll probably come back here again once the winter sets in since there are so many things here to do with kids inside.

He told us it would be a few minutes because they were waiting for a staff member to arrive. Okay... we placed our belongings in a locker and waited. Once another employee arrived, we were then informed that they were short-staffed and did not actually have availability for our reservation. We were told we would need to wait until someone else came in to assist us because they were understaffed. Huh??? First of all, how is that our problem? We had a confirmed reservation, and NOBODY contacted us beforehand to let us know there was an issue. Honestly, it didn't even seem like anyone knew we had a reservation at all, and the employee helping us looked confused. We ended up leaving and requesting a refund, which was extremely disappointing because my family was really looking forward to this activity. There was no accountability taken, nor did the manager seem at all concerned that no one was available to assist us. He was avoidant and dismissive, leaving the employee to handle the situation instead of trying to accommodate us or offer a solution. Unfortunately, since this was our first impression of this business, it will also be our last. Very unprofessional and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

So after haircuts and Elevation Burger, we decided to let our boys run around for a while. The Fun zone is sort of tucked away in one of the arms of the mall. Not being right in the middle of everything is probably why it is less crazy than other places. For the most part the kids were running around, but not out of control. There seemed to be parents for every child, so unlike Columbia it does not appear to be a dumping ground while mommy, daddy, or nanny shop. The play stuff is the standard soft climbing stuff with the requisite soft slide. I know that stuff can get nasty, but right now it is still new enough that it looks clean and well kept up. In all, this will be the new go to place when my kids need to run on a rainy day.

The locker room is clean and well-kept and they even have a family changing room which comes in so clutch for my husband and my daughter. The total cost for an afternoon of fun is approximately $40 for a family of four, which is a total steal. Add in a trip to the nearby Chick-fil-a and you are in kid heaven. They also host birthday parties for a fraction of the cost of places like Chuck E. Cheese or Scramble.
