Just spent a painless afternoon leasing my fourth Murano from Baron Nissan. I see some negative reviews, and honestly- they shock me. From my first time leasing here in 2008, I've found them to be fair in their pricing, responsive, and professional. This location is not at all convenient for me, but it is worth the drive to be treated as if I'm their most important customer. Go to Baron Nissan, and ask for Tish and tell him I sent you- he is the best car salesman that you could ever have the pleasure to work with. Rip off!!!! This is why people (don't like and) shouldn't use dealerships for service. My vehicle had an open recall and while I was there I had them change the oil and rotate the tires. $114.74 Not only is the price ridicules they didn't even adjust the PSI in the tires properly, all tires 6 to 8 PSI over. Incompetent and not trustworthy. Don't waste your time. Inquired through TrueCar and they never gave a certificate with the price of the vehicle which according to TrueCar they should have. They provided no information at all in the email. I was then given a monthly payment of $6XX/ month for a Nissan Murano S with no other info yet I had asked for a detailed quote and wasn't provided one. It was obviously heavily marked up above MSRP. Asked two salespeople Keith and Kevin who contacted me for a detailed quote and got nowhere. They wouldn't even provide the sales price ie is it 3K markup? Truecar originally showed an estimated discount below MSRP which this dealership would not work with and instead chose to charge well above the pricing shown on Truecar though they partner with them. They just used Truecar for leads. "highest levels of Customer Satisfaction.*" at the end of the email is a joke. I tried contacting customer service to explain what happened before leaving a review and they never responded. read more

After this experience, I have no trust of Baron Nissan prices or salespeople. On Saturday, December 23, 2023, I started trying to buy a new 2024 Sentra SV using a Costco Auto Program. The only discount Baron Nissan offered $500 from the MSRP. Looking online, Nissan offered two $500 discounts for that same car. Andrew, the salesman, said they had a different Sentra coming on Tuesday and it would cost $350 less because it was just black instead of a "special" gun metallic paint. After offering the non-special paint Sentra, Andrew offered a certified pre-owned 2022 Sentra SV for $20,000. He said he could discount it $750 so the cost would be $19,250. The original window sticker MSRP base was $20,570 for that car. The total MSRP total was $22,105 including the destination charges. I made an appointment on Tuesday with Andrew at 2:30, so I can decide I wanted the 2024 or 2022 Sentra SV. Andrew never showed up. After checking the Baron website, https://www.baronnissan.com/used-inventory/index.htm?search=sentra the price of that car was listed at $17,117 (Same VIN number and stock number) When I went back on Tuesday, the manager said he had to add $2,000 for "reconditioning" that used car, even though it was being sold as certified pre-owned. The mileage only had 18,307. The $2,000 had to pay to replace the tires, rotors, and other stuff. If I needed to replace those items after just 18,000 miles, costing $2,000, I would never buy a Nissan. I suggest you be very careful going to Baron Nissan. Remember that the prices quoted were EXACTLY $20,000 and $2,000 for the certified pre-owned car. The prices weren't even 19,995, or 1,950. I have no trust of their pricing. I have warranty and they told me it's not covered by warranty... and the first time I bring my car there it was making a weird sound from the back and the service manager tells me put up the radio on loud so you don't hear the noise anymore .. That place is a joke,... I had call corporate on the service department .. And do not buy a car from them or lease big rip off they wanted $10,000 down for an Nissan Altima with no leather base model for $390 a month I call my friend at least an agent price $340 a month with $2800 down with a Altima with sunroof and leather fully loaded ... I truly truly don't recommend this place and if you do go there good luck your going to need it... read more

I do not recommend this dealership they do not stand behind their products. I have a one year old Nissan Murano. My engine light came on. I brought it to the dealer They tried to tell me that a wire needed to be replaced due to rodent damage. They could not prove that there was any rodent damage. There was no nest. There were no rodent droppings yet if treated as such they don't need to replace anything free of charge even though it's the lease. They didn't even replace the wire. They just spliced it and charged almost $500 for this. I should've been covered under my warranty as they could not prove any rodent damage and they said the wires are covered with some type of soy which attracts rodents yet they still did not cover this and I paid close to $500 to have a wire spliced together read more

Baron Nissan is the reason that car dealerships have a bad reputation. I will spare the long details of our story, but despite having a wonderful experience with them three years ago when we leased our first Murano, this time around they acted like true used car salesmen. The most appalling part of our whole experience was when the salesman chased me and my husband into the parking lot and said, "What if I do this? Or what if I do this and throw in this?" When something he said piqued our interest and we walked back in, his response was, "Well I never said I could do that, I just said WHAT IF." The cherry on the cake is that the manager was there the whole time witnessing this and started arguing with me (raising his voice) when I told him and the salesman that they were playing games. had a very bad experience at this dealership. Went there to return my nissan 2017 rouge. Due to the corona virus did not want to travel all over the place to negotiate a deal. Told salesman and manager that i was going no where else and asked for the best deal they gave me. Did a lease buyout here because they were not adding as much in BS fees than the others. When I looked at my paperwork, I noticed the price of the car was more than the contract price. I called Carl, the finance guy. He told me they bought the car for the price on the contract then sold it back to me for an extra $600. It was very deceptive since I was not told that's what they were doing. When I called and asked why, he told me, we don't work for free & I could cancel the deal and go to another dealer who would charge more than the $600. I found this unacceptable, I called Nissan financing and they escalated my situation to the regional manager. I just received a check for $600 from Baron Nissan. Horrible service. Leased a car from dealer nearby that closed. Wanted to just drop off car at end of lease. Was told no room try back in two weeks and to make inspection appt. Did all that called back and another person said since I was not re-leasing they would not take the car. Had to call another dealer farther away I was told I did not need to get a separate inspection if car was in good shape (so they lied) and they would take it. Never will deal with these guys again. When they didn't have the exact car I wanted in the colors I wanted they went out an ordered it from the factory without charging me. I was coming out from Manhattan so I wanted to make sure everything was taken care of before I got there. Allison and Satish made sure everything was perfect, transparent, and very easy. I read some of these reviews, I guess I must be lucky because my experience with Baron Nissan was probably one of the best leasing experiences I have had to date, and I have been leasing for the last 10 years. I presented my terms and exactly what car I wanted through email, I wasn't going to be allowed to get caught up with phone calls and being pulled into the office to discuss things further. Simply let me know if you have the exact car I want in stock, and if you do, meet my terms. I dealt with 5 dealerships, 4 of the 5 were trying to drag me in and get my phone number, so I cut them all off. Baron Nissan was the only one that confirmed the exact model and trim I wanted, told me they would meet exactly what I wanted as far as terms, and then at that point we set an appointment. I walked in at 5:02 PM, had the most pleasant, no bullshit experience I have ever had leasing, and walked out at 7:09 PM with the new car keys in my hand. Over the years I have learned my lesson and I have done my homework, maybe they picked up on this or maybe they just simply gave me a very great customer experience. I have been in a dispute with collections for over a month because of Baron Nissan. When I leased my new car in February, the contract was written that Nissan would cover the early lease termination of my old car and cover the cost of the miles I went over. They never paid for the miles and have not been able to clear up the $1200 debt that my account is in due to their lack of follow through. The Manager has not returned any calls, I've had to call him and I'm extremely disappointed with how this dealer has handled it's business dealings that will now be negatively effecting me, when I have done nothing wrong, except chose them as my leasing dealership. I just received a call from collections letting me know that my account is now over 30 days due and they will be reporting me to the credit bureau. Shame on you Nissan. I purchased a used Mazda Tribute from Baron Nissan a few years ago. The complaints I have were they added a $100 "fee" on the day the car was picked and they didn't fix a leak from the oil pan plug. The manager said $100 fee should have been added to the price. I didn't question what the fee or what it was for at the time (too late to complain now). The second complaint was the oil drain plug threads were stripped. This caused oil to drip because the plug cannot be screwed on tightly. The salesperson said the problem was fixed. I noticed he lied when changing the oil several months later. The vehicle was a top of the line model, bought at a below book value price and was very reliable for the 40k miles driven. So I considered the two complaints as minor inconveniences. Overall, I wouldn't buy another car from them and would not refer them to friends. read more

This review is for the service department. I have a gold prefered warranty purchased directly from Nissan which it basically covers everything. Called the lady who answered the phone did not say what her name was. I told her the issue and wanted to see if it was covered under warranty. Without looking in to anything Vin # warranty etc. She said NO it is not covered. I called another dealer. They asked for my Vin # pulled up my extended warranty and said YES it is covered. At the mean time this lady was saying I have no access to your extended warranty information. Mind you, I have been to this dealer before and the dealer I called I never been to. Blatant dishonesty at Baron Nissan of Greenvale goes all the way to the Sales Manager Steven Cirillo. Honestly this is what gives car dealers such a bad reputation. My elderly mother leased a Nissan Altima 2015 at Baron Nissan and the Sales Manager himself Steven Cirillo agreed IN WRITING to pay for the disposition fee at the end of the lease. (See a photo of the letter I included with this review). At the end of the Lease Mr. Cirillo agreed that Baron Nissan would pay for the fee but they never did. One month later Mr. Cirillo again promised to pay the fee but did not. I then visited Baron Nissan again for a third time and Mr. Cirillo again promised to take care of the issue and again never did. Now my mother is receiving letters and phone calls by a collection agency about the disposition fee that was never paid by Baron Nissan. Shame on Steven Cirillo and Baron Nissan for taking advantage of an elderly woman and not honoring even signed written agreements. Beware in dealing with this dishonest car dealership! read more

Did I just get a new car?? The answer must be yes but it was such a simple, transparent and stress free event that its hard to believe that today I have a new Pathfinder in my driveway!! I have been dealing with the same Volvo dealership for over 25 years and they were great but time to move on . From our first visit to Baron last week dealing with the Sales Manager, the process was so low key as to make me wonder if this was really happpening. This is how All new car negotiations and purchases should happen. We had visited 4 other dealerships but this is the one that got the business. It's apparent that some folks didnt have the experience I did but thats their bad cause the people are really caring and between Tish who sold me the vehicle and Valerie the Finance Mgr I can truly state this dealership is where you should buy your new car. Did my lease buyout with Karl. While I still was charged more than the contract price, (seems to be common at all Nissan dealers) around $500 above. it was much less than Garden City and Westbury who were charging $4000 and $2500 over the contract price. If you're looking to buyout ur lease give Karl a call, he'll quote you a number over the phone and that's the exact #. I had bought my car from a third party Nissan! They are partnered with Baron Nissan. I was recommended to go to Baron Nissan to give my concerns of my new car. Vanessa (service advisor) was extremely rude when I asked her to check everything in the car and I was telling her the issues I had. Towards the end she told me it's my fault if I had left certain details out. I ask Jason the service manager and he said oh let's just make another appointment. I live 40 mins away! I told Jason is possible for me to leave my car here and you can give a loaner he said no! I didn't buy a car from them. They made me come back a second time for a update. The update was not successful. Jason told me he would have to order the part and they would call to come back and promised me a loaner. Two weeks had passed by! I received no call! During the second week I had noticed my speakers weren't working. I decided to call Baron Nissan to check up on the part. They told me its here. I NEVER RECIEVED A CALL! I decided to let them know about my speaker situation as well! Because my first visit Vanessa had told me it's my fault for not telling her! I had came back to this dealership a third time! ( horrible experience) Jason had promised me a loaner while the car was in service. When I came in. He told me no. He lied to me and told me I can wait an hour. I walked 1.6 miles to find a place to sit. I told him I had things to do. He said I can wait. Disrespectful! I also told him about my speakers and he wrote on the note that everything is normal! I complained! And I was told for me to go to a different dealership and I did. The other dealership had realized something was wrong with the car.! THIS DEALERSHIP IS NOT TRUST WORTHY! Went in to purchase a Pathfinder, settled on one that had the options, but not the color we wanted. Left a deposit and got a call a day later that they didn't realize that vehicle was unknowingly sold. Really?!? Just how bad is your inventory control if you cannot keep track of the vehicles on your lot? Or are you just lying? They then tried to up-sell me on a newer Pathfinder that was not eligible for any of the incentives that would make the purchase worth it. Baron Nissan is an absolute scam. The salesmen beg for 5* Reviews as soon as you buy a car and promise to give some sort of price cut or deal. Most people fall for this silly tactic when they're happy about their new purchase. I purchased a car from them roughly a year ago, it was sold to me with a broken windshield. I called them, they passed the blame on me (This was 5 minutes after leaving the dealer.) I paid to have the windshield fixed. My car gets totaled, I ask them to cancel the warranty I paid for, they say it's done, come to find out months later that it wasn't. At least 10 Phone calls a day and I finally spoke to the GM of Baron who was of course no help and never called back when he promised to. I requested them to send me the paperwork to prove a cancellation was done on the Warranty and of course it is non-existent. We re-did the paperwork, they told me no problem still no check and their reported "Refund" is under the pro-rated amount. I now need to contact an attorney to sue Baron Nissan for the balance. They have proven to be dishonest and I am beside myself. Trust me.... Dealers are usually bad, Baron is dreadful. Stay away.... read more

I had a wonderful experience at Baron Nissan. My salesperson Antonella was very knowledgeable and I never felt pressured into buying a car. They were very understanding about my concerns with a comfortable seat due to my back problems and they let me test drive the car for over an hour. When I got into the finance office I kept waiting for something to go wrong and for them to add extra expenses but they were totally honest and the contract was exactly as discussed. I can highly recommend this dealership and the 2021 Nissan Rogue... the most comfortable car I could find. read more

I got my car in Baron Nissan in 2019 and I called to schedule an appointment for a recall , so I got the appointment for 10:am when I was in my way there I called 15 minutes before 10:00am to let them know that I was stacked on Traffic . I live in Brooklyn to begin with so the secretary transfer over my call to the manager named Jason Parne who was so Rude, unprofessional, understandable and arrogant person. I was trying to explain to him that it was a accident on the road that I was running few minutes late he told me that I have to reschedule my appointment that I won't be seen because I was late for my appointment, I told him that it wasn't my fault to be late that to please check at least what was wrong with my car because I come from far away and I lose one day of work and he told me man you won't be seen! That he has more work to do. He didn't have any consideration that I was a costumer for long time there and that I was so close to there and make me lose one day for nothing . Came back to return the previous lease 2016 Nissan Rogue from Baron Nissan,also hoping to get another new lease 2020 Nissan Rogue with similar terms which we agreed in the beginning. My car salesman disappeared (was told that he went to go get my car from a different lot and then the latest he went to the court) After 5hrs waiting for my new car, when i went to finalize the deal with the financial guy, he changed the terms and the amount and when I questioned him and told him that my car salesmen said that I will be getting the almost the same deal and wanted to speak to him. He said that he is in court now and the price that I wasn't correct. When I provided him with the copy of the previous lease agreement he said that sorry but can't match the deal. After 5 hrs of waiting for the car even when I specifically asked them that I would get another car only if u give the same deal (which was not) even though I agreed to pay $17 more a month than the last car. Needless to say I didn't get the car after staying there for almost 6 hrs. I WOULD BE VERY CAREFUL PEOPLE THESE GUYS ARE CROOKS FROM THE MOMENT YOU OPEN THE DOOR.
