Have gone to Baron Nissan in the past because they are our local dealership, deals never went through because they always at the last minute bumped up the price when you were ready to go in and sign the deal. However due to Covid, making it a little more difficult decided to lease another vehicle unlike the norm few days process, we decided to go one more time. BIG MISTAKE. We dealt with both Steve (friendly guy, brushed me off) eventually he pushed me to his general manager Brian who gave me the run around and also strung me along to the very last minute (my guess is that they wanted to wait till I had to return my car so they can squeeze me for a high payment on a basic rogue) and lets just say I don't know how they stay in business because of the unreturned calls and the circles they do around customers, instead of being honest if they cant get you approved or whatever the situation is, be honest and move on. I will never ever go through them again, better off going to a bigger and better dealer with Nissan. You would think with the pandemic they would be starving and try to hustle to make deals. Got turned off completely after having a Nissan for years, decided to go to Mazda, love my new SUV. Wantagh Mazda the best. I leased this car February and first it wasn't a great deal but I needed the car, and went through with it. The car came with no car mats and when your getting a car you really don't see if they are mats included with the lease, dumb ass me asked if I get them they told me I can purchase them ok I was really mad, but I need what need. There I go purchasing new mats for a new car 110.00 dollars discounted and they gave the wrong year mats for the car, my fault right cause threw out the the bag and wouldn't change them. Fwd fast today I went to get oil change and I went to parts department and asked if I could swap out the mats that they gave to cause one more time and they told me they sell them to me discount price for 83.00 so they made pay discount price the first 110.00 and now it's 83.00. Will never use this dealership ever again. Service area is small can't say anything bad about the service cause I haven't had an issue with them but I you need a car go get some where else . Spoke to the dealership and told if they were going to lose a customer for ever cause of mats and they look puzzled. First off, if I could give these guys a ZERO I would. I went in here looking for a certified preowned Nissan Maxima SV. They showed me the paperwork and car fax and it looked good for the price. However, they did the old bait and switch on me with the car fax. It said there was no accidents and there actually were later finding out by going to other dealerships and trying to sell my car. I tried to sell back the car to Baron to a stuck up fake sales manager Mike. He and a sales rep low balled me and said oh there's an accident on the car fax we can't give you a good price. I started going to Baron Nissan for service after a bad experience with another dealership and although they are more attentive than other service departments I've used, their workmanship is shoddy at best. After service, I'll find careless mistakes their techs have made on simple items, such as a tire rotation. They chipped two of the rims on my 2014 Rogue from a slipped air gun in multiple locations. Prior to that, they replaced a side trim as part of a repair authorized by Nissan Corporate and snapped all the clips in my front right fender guard. I brought it back to have them correct their mistake and they chipped the paint along fender trying to pry the guard off. They will fix one thing while making another worse. Baron Nissan sales staff are a bunch of liars and weasels. Best to take your business to another dealership. I went in with my wife at the end of January to test drive the Nissan Rouge Sport. I had with me a $50 voucher for an Amazon gift card that was on their website if you test drove the car. I gave it to the salesman, Satish (Tish) Massand, who then gave it to the sales manager, Steve Cirillo. They told me they would process it, but they never did. I test drove the car that day and signed the lease. The salesman, Tish, told me how honest and religious he was, and how he never lied to his customers. He filled out his own survey about himself on his iPad and asked me to sign off. At the time I thought he was upfront, so I went along. After about 3 weeks I went online to check the status of the $50 gift card, and it said the dealer never submitted it. I tried calling him a number of times, after which he told me I had to deal with his boss, Steve Cirillo. After speaking to him at least 4-5 times, which after each call, he said he would call me back to update me. He never returned my call once! I have asked to speak to the GM Brian a few times, but that was unsuccessful too. I even asked them to cut me a $50 check if that was easier but I got nowhere. They could have also, offered me coupons for service but they did not. It may only be $50 but I feel lied to and cheated. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. I am also turned off my Nissan Customer Care's lack of caring. They blame everything on the dealership and were no help at all in resolving my dispute. read more

I do not recommend this dealership. I have been dealing with a salesmen who thinks he can pull a fast one on anybody. I was very specific on the financing regarding a particular car and the salesmen agreed. Once i recieved the paperwork it was nothing we agreed on. I also had to put a $500.00 deposit along with a $19.75 fee i was never told about. I ended up cancelling everything and it has been 11 days and I still have not gotten that amount back on my credit card. read more

Right now, I'm on the fence with these guys. A little over a week ago I purchased a used Nissan Murano with a little over 30,000 miles on it. The price was great and I enjoyed my low-key experience my first day at the dealership when I committed to the car. But, since then I can't say my experience has been good. Even though I warned them that I would pick up the car a day earlier than expected when I got there the car wasn't prepared. It wasn't clean and two days later I discovered that the rear mats and cargo cover was missing. I had to call the dealer 3 times about this one issue. The manager, Steve, said, he has to order a new cargo cover (but he didn't say they would cover the cost of this). When I randomly stopped by a day later, it turns out that the mats and cargo cover were indeed still there. While there I point out that one of my remote keys doesn't hold a charge and they send me back and forth between parts and sales until I finally just give up. But, then, a half hour later the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) comes on. Is there anything more frustrating than spending over 20K on a car for the first time in your life and having something be wrong with it immediately?!!! This is a place, I'm understanding, that will turn on the charm while you are searching for a car and then as soon as you drive off, forget about it, awful service. Also, it's all dudes. No women up front in sales, as far as I saw on my three visits, which is kind of sad given it's 2015 not 1972. My MIL issue is still an issue. The manager told me that the car has a powertrain warrantee still on it, but when I called service today, they said that it was only 3 years/36,000. The website is also tricky (and somewhat deceptive) regarding this because on the website the car I purchased appeared to be "Nissan Certified.) I took a screen shot of this page because my conversations with the sales people at Baron were so sketchy. Thank god that I purchased an external bumper to bumper warrantee with another company or I'm sure I'd be screwed. I called about the MIL today and when I spoke to the manager who helped me make my deal, I think I heard a little laughter in his voice, like, "this person is calling again!" I would not be calling constantly if I felt like I was getting any help! The more I write this review, the more awful this experience feels. Lastly, they are supposed to be registering my car in Pennsylvania but seem completely ill-equipped to do this. If you can't do it, you should probably say so before taking my money. They never told me how to pick up the registration, whether it would be sent to me or them, etc. I literally don't think they know. Although I love this car, I'm having a little bit of buyers regret, like I should have gone with my second choice at a different dealer. Yet another aggravating experience with the service department at Baron Nissan. My 2 year old Pathfinder was leaking transmission fluid. Brought it in and was told they would call in a few hours to let me know what the problem was. SIX hours later I had to call to find out what was happening-only to be told the transfer case was cracked and they needed to get the part and the car would be ready the next day. Next day I had to call again in the afternoon to find out what was happening and was told it wasn't ready, but would be shortly. TWO hours later I called again and was told the car was ready and that they did a state inspection, which I did not authorize!!! Jason said he called my cell and was unable to leave a message and called the house number, but did not leave a message!! I have a year left on the lease and can't wait to never deal with this service department again! read more

This is the worst car dealership I have ever dealt with in my 32 years buying cars. The salesperson was a complete scam artist. The manager, Brian, was a complete idiot and a liar. The finance person was awful. We were approved for a loan and wanted to know the figures...payment, interest rate, etc before coming in to close the deal. They wouldn't speak to us on the phone. Spent a week of trying to get the details from our saleperson who said we needed to speak to the finance guy...who we couldn't reach. After calling all three people repeatedly we finally got the finance guy on the phone who couldn't talk to us because he was eating breakfast!!!! We complained to the manager about the finance guy. Then the finance guy calls us back with an attitude. Long story short. They ran our credit twice, reduced our credit rating and never sold us the car. The manager, Brian, promised to take over and fix everything. We called him twice and both times he said he was on it. Then we never heard from him again. After a month we got a letter from Capital One stating our 18K loan had expired. read more

I told him I knew about the car, I just wanted the brochure to take home and look at to make a decision. Still, I was told they were "looking for one" but then they could take me outside to see the car in person. I went outside, saw the car and said I already know what I am looking at, can I just have a brochure? Was paraded back inside the dealer where I waited another 15 minutes. Then they wanted to get "all of my info for their records"...I asked them did they HAVE ANY BROCHURES???? They finally admitted they had none on the specific car I was asking about (or didn't want to give me one). I leased a 2014 Nissan Sentra SV. The full package. I remember walking in just to check out the prices and selections and they made a full effort to try and make me walk out with a car that same day. Well after few trips, I couldn't resist their quote after literally negotiating down to pennies and change. That's where the problem started. I bought the fully loaded Sentra but the navigation system refused to load. They told me that the maps had been updated and the car, being a 2014 model, had to be processed. Waste of time. I ended up coming home with a car I paid for the extra features that had a non-working navigation, no radio speakers or music, hardly any rear view back up camera and I couldn't even tell the time. Since then, I have made 4 trips to resolve the issue and they couldn't decipher it. Finally they said that they were going to order a new part for the car. It's been more than 3 weeks. I'm going in today. In all honesty if the issue is not resolved, I am literally leaving the keys with them and walking back home. I don't expect much from here, especially when you see grown mechanics chasing one another playing tag and scaring eachother by popping up while the other is working. True professionalism. read more

We had a terrible experience trying to get a used car at Baron Nissan. We would never consider going there again for any reason. These are just a few of the promises made *repeatedly* at the time we put down our deposit, after which were renegged and denied: -- Not only refused to allow any outside mechanic to inspect the car, but were yelled at by the manager, explaining it was an unheard-of "ridiculous" request, with a lecture about how a "hundred million dollar company" doesn't have time for that nonesense. -- Renegged on making the very obvious/minor repairs promised upon deposit -- Told the car came with a full 12 month warranty on top of the manufactuter's warranty; at signing, the cashier pulled a scam and said "the ad" explained how not only did it not come with any warranty, but that we were obligated to buy an $1800 3rd party warranty. We were never aware of any ad. -- Told the car had ABS; it did not -- Tried to argue that the agreed to purchase price was invalid and that we owed an extra $1000. read more

I recently purchased a used Nissan Rogue at Baron Nissan and when I went to pick it up they tagged an extra 800.00 to the price! I should've complained then. Then, they only gave me one smart key for the car, little did I know how much it would cost to replace one if lost.They wanted $275.00! I was told by a locksmith that by law they were supposed to have given me two keys. So I lose the key and need another, they tell me I have to get my car towed to them so that they can reprogram the new key and the cost of the tow is up to me. I argued and got the key without the additional $275.00 but I still had to pay the towing myself. I had AAA so it cost me $80.00. The next day I call a Mobile key service to see if I could get a duplicate and he tells me sure! He comes to my house reprograms the key for me for 55.00. He was the nicest, most helpful guy really! They will tell you that you can leave a deposit of $50- $500 to get a "sold" sign on the vehicle pending your own personal mechanic's approval. I left the highest my salesman told me, $500. It was a Saturday & the plan was to call Monday to schedule to appt. Instead on Monday my salesman called to say on his day off (Sunday) that the truck was sold. Asked why & he said "the deal sounded shakey to manager". I wonder how it sounded "shakey" as I left the highest amt that I was asked for. We have had many problems so far with the car shaking and bucking at low speeds -The technician said he recognized the problem but the car doesn't show any codes on the computer! I had problems dealing with Jason and Frank every time in the service department - spoke with the GM who stated that he is also the owner - all three are not very helpful. My old "whoopdee" clunker car (as my teenage daughter calls it) was done, so I called this dealership up from my cell, with cautious optimism. I had hoped to get a good year - end sale deal on a new Altima, having read the ad featured on the net. To my utter disbelief, the salesperson on the phone said that he would not only match the best internet deal that I found, but that he could actually beat that price! I rolled into the dealership hoping beyond hope that the incredible offer (on the new 2014 Altima with the options I wanted) was legitimate & not a hustle just to get me in there. To my pleasant surprise, the sales rep (Jordy) did the numbers crunching and delivered on his phone quote without any hassles or add-on costs. He was also helpful in calling up my insurance company to get a price quote on the car's insurance for me. One day later, the paperwork & DMV on the car was complete & it was prepped for pick up. I was pretty astonished at how efficient this dealership was. When I picked my car up, it was pouring outside. The same sales rep, Jordy, came out in the rain to go over some questions I had about setting up the Bluetooth and using the tech features on the car. Another rep, Mark, came out to help me program the stored phone numbers from my cell into the Altima's Bluetooth onboard memory.
