A great place to fuel up on protein after a long bike ride. I recently joined the Orange County Wheelmen biking club and we meet every Saturday behind this juce bar to start our rides. Whether we go 26, 37 or 54 miles this is the place I stop to get a drink before driving home. I like to get the PB&J with extra whey protein and oat milk. The inside is nice as well. This place is ok at best and like many of the other reviewers, the prices are astronomical for the portion and service received. Very nice and courteous young people working here. I believe the business owner should be proud. They get 4+ stars. $15 for a small açai bowl...Is rent that high here? How much could the owner absorb without sending the wrong message to his customer base? More importantly, how much can that land/leaseholder absorb in order to not hurt his owner-tenants? At what point is the landowner unjustifiably demanding an exorbitant monthly rent from small businesses, who are then forced to pass on the expense? A business owner's cost of goods is based on supply and demand of the goods, especially now with international energy conflicts ensuing in Europe and Asia. A landowner, however, is frugal and will use a theoretical "market-based rents" approach in order to extort a business owner/tenant. This landowner selfishness mentality is a stain on our beautiful American Culture. It is leading to poverty, food degradation and a cold community here in the United States....it's so sad! While not imposing guilt to the business, $15 for a small açaí bowl is a joke and a great way to dampen someone's day as they walk out the door. A portion of this may be caused by international conflict being felt here in the states. However, an unselfish landowner could fix all that by not unjustifiably raising rent if they wanted to. I wish you much success and prosperity, but how about another scoop of açaí base for that $15? read more

Located near John Wayne Airport. This is the only Nekter I know of that has BYO acai bowls (and trust me, I've been to almost all the Nekters lol). This is my FAVORITE place for acai bowls (yes, it beats Blue Bowls for me :D)! It is build-your-own. It is everything that Blue Bowls is BUT better because of the yogurt they use. I absolutely LOVE the yogurt. I even asked the employee what it was and he showed me the container. I have never had it anywhere else. It's a very unique flavor that makes all the difference in their bowls and sets them apart from other acai bowl shops imo. I usually add every topping available minus the cacao nibs (too bitter for me). LOVE the dried goji berries, adds the perfect texture. I do wish they were open on weekends though, but I understand they're catering to the offices nearby and probably only get business on the weekdays during lunch. Seriously, my favorite acai bowl. I have been craving my usual nekter combo lately so I stopped by the closest store to me on my route home. I hate to say it but it has been such a disappointment because this location is a "build your own bowl" type of location ( which... what? ) and they are unable to blend anything more solid than the frozen açaí into the base of any bowl. The original staff member I placed my order with was super helpful but did not properly explain that he'd be unable to add the coconut flakes and cocoa nibs to my bowl. I always get the "PB Protien Power Bowl" and add one extra scoop of PB on top. The first picture is what the bowl looks like... the screenshot is of the actual protien power bowl sold at normal locations, and the third pictures the replacement bowl. I did go back in to have my bowl remade as this was a $23 stop & i refuse to be okay with spending that much to get a runny smoothie and the worst bowl i've ever had.. haha. The employee that was at the counter was super helpful and we worked out how to make the bowl where it was as close to my usual as possible. While I was working this out with the employee, the woman i believe to be the manager turned to tell me "Just so you know we won't be able to do this again here" in a off-putting tone. I nicely replied with "That's okay I won't be coming back here" and finished going over the ingredients. I was very happy to see this bowl, he also upsized the bowl for me which was very kind of him! BE SURE TO CHECK THE LOCATION MENU AND SPECIFICS BECAUSE HAD I KNOWN THIS LOCATION CANT BLEND EVEN COCONUT FLAKES INTO A BOWL I WOULDVE WAITED UNTIL I GOT HOME TO BE ABLE TO ORDER AT MY LOCAL/ REGULAR STORE. 8/10 for service! All employees were kind and generous! 0/10 for food, or availability of menu items. Smoothie was thin and gross - fruit didn't look very fresh & the menu overall is limited. Honestly, this was the best decision ever. I came here for the new Bowl Bar launch special/promo, and I was so thrilled with the changes they made to their superfood bowls. Nekter acai bowls were always at the bottom of my rankings when it came to all of the other options/locations I could get acai bowls at. But after trying their new style bowls, I've definitely become a fan. I like how they have so many good options for bases and toppings. My concoction was glorious. Of course I gotta do the large size! xD My only issue is that without the promo pricing, this is a bit expensive. Even compared to the superfood bowl places I normally go to, this is on the high end. I think this factor is why I probably won't come here often. If they were maybe $1-2 less, or maybe had a rewards/stamp card system, or if it were cheaper than like Paradise Bowls and Berry Brand, I would come here probably once a week. On 9/28 there was a guy and a girl working, not sure who made my smoothie and Parfait but the health nut smoothie was pretty much a cup of milk w/ dates that were hardly blended, I was literally eating them and the PB&J Parfait was made horrible, I believe a parfait is suppose to be cold but it seemed warm and there was way too much granola, I threw it out.
