Febe Coffee was one of the spots my cousin and I had on our list while café hopping around SoCal, and I'm really glad we decided to check it out. The space is super clean and spacious, which made it really comfortable to hang out in. They also have a small shop inside, which was a nice touch and fun to browse while waiting for our drinks. The worker was incredibly nice and helpful, answering all our questions and making the experience feel really welcoming. We ordered the Black Sesame Hojicha Latte, Hojicha Einspanner, and Banana Pudding Matcha, and all of them were really good. The cream tops were especially thick and creamy, adding a rich, smooth texture to each drink. The Black Sesame Hojicha Latte had a nice nutty depth that paired really well with the roasted hojicha flavor. The Hojicha Einspanner was smooth and comforting, with that strong roasted tea flavor balanced by the creamy top. The Banana Pudding Matcha really surprised me. I usually don't like banana-flavored things, but as a banana flavor hater, this is honestly one of the best ones I've tried. It was creamy and well balanced, with the banana not being too overpowering and blending nicely with the matcha. Definitely a solid spot with good drinks, a clean and spacious space, and friendly service. Worth stopping by if you're café hopping in the area.
I ordered the pandan matcha ($7) and it's refreshing. Not as sweet at Airoma's but it has a perfect balance between pandan and matcha flavor. It's creamy and you can tell the matcha is good quality. The service was quick and efficient. There was no line when I arrived and my drink was out within minutes! There are a few tables inside and some people are studying, but it is a bit noisy. I would come back again if I am around the area!
I was pretty hesitant to try their corn Matcha because last time I ordered corn milk tea elsewhere, it taste like a cold corn soup. At Febe, they proved me different. I actually really enjoy it! I am so glad that I asked for half sweet because the corn cream itself. It's already sweet enough and it's the perfect sweetness. The place is very cute and small. Staff is very friendly and nice. Also, there's plenty of parking in the plaza.
Went to febe coffee after a nice beach day. location is close to south coast plaza with lots of parking. Interior is soo cute and decent amount of seats. I ordered the iced matcha einspanner which was delicious! perfect cream top to match ratio. The mango iced matcha has mango puree and mango cream foam top. The mango is sweet and not too overpowering. Service was quick and baristas are very kind. Barely sat down and our order was already ready. Would definitely return.
I went to this place on a Saturday afternoon and there were a lot of people there. The barista was super nice. I ordered the hojicha, which I know isn't something people typically order, but I'm on a hunt for a good cup of hojicha latte. I asked for 1 pump of sweetener and I'd give it a 2.5/5. It has good flavors but I think there was too much milk that the flavor of the tea wasn't able to shine. Next time I'll ask for another scoop of hojicha.
Another matcha spot in OC... and this one's actually worth it. The space is bigger than it looks from the outside -- super clean, minimal, lots of light, and plenty of seating if you want to stay and hang. It has that calm, not-chaotic energy that's actually hard to find. The barista was helpful when we couldn't make a decision! They also have a small retail section with cute finds (stickers, little modern lamps, random aesthetic things). What we got: Banana pudding matcha Island ube matcha I really liked the banana pudding matcha -- the cream top is THICK (like actually thick), super rich and satisfying. If you like a more indulgent matcha, this one hits. The island ube matcha was really good too -- I didn't fully get the macadamia, but the ube gives it this almost cereal milk vibe, and you can still taste the matcha coming through which I liked. What I also appreciate is their menu has range -- you can go more fun/flavor-forward (banana pudding, strawberry, mango, ube) or keep it simple with options like double matcha or a matcha einspanner. They also had a solid pastry case -- croissants, savory options, and a few sweets. Overall: * aesthetic but still comfortable * good variety of matcha options * indulgent + more classic choices * good for catching up or just hanging out Definitely worth trying if you're exploring matcha spots in OC.
Felt very meh about this place :( I actually visited on their opening weekend LOL so they were doing a BOGO. I got their regular matcha latte. The shop itself is clean and cute, lots of decor and small trinkets for sale. A few tables for seating, not sure how it'd be for a study session though. The matcha was ok, nothing special. Definitely on the sweet side. Kept me caffeinated, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again.
I'm so glad this location opened up, much more convenient for me than going to Irvine! My first time there, I got the black sesame hojicha and a pistachio raspberry croissant, and on my second time, I got a hot hojicha latte. I've been obsessed with hojicha lately, hence my choices. Both were so good! You can definitely taste the roasted matcha as it gives off the black tea kind of taste at the end. The pastry was delicious as well. The black sesame cold foam on top went well with the hojicha too. I have yet to try their signature drinks, so I will be back!
Came in this morning, it wasn't too busy. The girl at the register gave me recommendations because I wasn't sure what to get. I ended up getting Lotus Einspanner. First, I liked the color of the coffee. Second, cream top was nice and thick but mixable. I got mine less sweet. I enjoyed it. They have a few tables to sit which is nice.
Great matcha!! It is potent and not bitter with extra sweetness from toppings. I got the banana matcha and it was a 10/10. Needed an Airoma alternative closer to me and this definitely fits that need. However, expect a line. I went 15 mins after opening and there were already like 10 people in line.

Febe Coffee is hands down one of my favorite coffee spots! My coworkers and I make the trip here every week, and it's become one of our favorite traditions. If you're a matcha fan, do yourself a favor and order the Banana Pudding Matcha. It's absolutely incredible. I recommend getting it at 30% sweetness if you prefer your drinks balanced rather than overly sweet--it brings out the flavors perfectly. The drinks are consistently delicious, reasonably priced, and made with care. Their croissants are just as impressive, with several different varieties to choose from, and every one I've tried has been fresh, flaky, and packed with flavor. Between the quality of the drinks, the great pastries, the affordable prices, and the friendly atmosphere, it's easy to see why we keep coming back week after week. If you're looking for a new coffee spot, Febe Coffee is definitely worth checking out. Highly recommend! read more

Glad the line finally died down! Parking can be difficult on weekend mornings with a lot of people going to the full psycle next door. The interior is nice, with cute stationary for sale. I enjoyed the lotus einspanner with oat milk. read more

This spot mainly has matcha. I love the cream tops they have! You are able to adjust the sweetness, I feel like the level is good enough for me. We ordered the mango matcha and island matcha. My husband and I loved our drinks! read more

I tried out Febe coffee after my cycling class next door, and this is such a cute place! I ordered the banana pudding matcha, and the banana flavoring isn't too apparent but just a slight hint if that's what you're looking more for. They sell trinkets in the middle, and I got a small cat squishy for under $4 which I was happy they didn't decide to over charge for. There's somewhat a good handful of seating to do work until late. There's outlets and WiFi available. read more

New spot as of Mar 2026. Part of the retail strip center with other tenants like 7 Eleven and FOB Fish Grill. Order at the register. They call your number when it's ready. Bright and simple interior with some seating. No cash! I tried the Ube matcha with light ice. I confirmed that matcha has caffeine, since I didn't know for sure. Also split a chocolate chip cookie with my son. Loved both items! $12 with tax and small tip included for a drink and a cookie. Not bad given insane pricing today. read more

AESTHETICSSSSS Place is so cute and my friends rave about it so i was super excited to go. Drinks came out super colorful and tasty. I had my mango matcha half sweetened and honestly it was perfect. They used a jam base for the mango. Lots of different matcha and coffee options - something for everyone! Doesn't look like there are any gluten free pastries but tons of snacks and knick knacks to buy. I will be back! read more
Once again on my cafe-hopping journey, I picked out Febe Coffee to try today. Tucked away in a plaza with plenty of parking, I was easily able to make my way inside. The cafe is quite small, with only about five tables inside along with tables and chairs, and has a more conversationalist vibe than a work one. There were only a few outlets around to say the least. The vibes are chill, and they have music playing quietly in the background as well. I ordered the milk tea einspanner, and service was quick! I got my drink within 3 minutes of ordering. The milk tea cream on top is strong and tasty, and the drink overall was not too sweet! Very good! I did have issues connecting to the guest wifi, so I ended up using my hotspot to do work, which I would say is the only negative thing about my experience here today. read more

new favorite matcha spot on my ever growing list. their menu is extensive and has lots of unique and even classic flavors. i ordered the banana pudding matcha and i love how the banana pudding on top is so thick. the matcha itself wasn't too bitter, which i like, and mixed with the banana pudding is perfectly sweet. the store is super clean and bright. it's a great study spot but there are only 4 tables in such a big store. the turn around time is for the tables are also pretty slow so it seems hard to get a spot to study if it gets busy. i think there could be more tables added to the empty space or even communal tables. overall, this is such a great find and i'll definitely be back to try other menu items. read more
First time visiting this new coffee shop. The ambiance is inviting and so cute. Tried the Febe's Signature and did not disappoint! The coffee is strong, and the foam not overly sweet and it doesn't overpower the palette. I can see this spot becoming a staple coffee fix for me. And service was incredible they weren't afraid to make adjustments if needed. read more
I have been to the Febe Coffee in Irvine so I was delighted to discover this location in Santa Ana when I was nearby! The space is a bit bigger than the Irvine location and there were some people working there which was nice. The service was very quick and the strawberry matcha (my favorite from here) hit the spot as usual! read more
LOVE LOVE LOVE THE FOAM. dare I say one of my new fave coffee/matcha spots in OC. matcha was good, great taste. Went around evening time. basically no wait time. Their speciality has to be in the foam because it tastes real (non-artificial), foamy and creamy and compliments the drink so well. Have been to very few places that can match this. Not super sweet surprisingly. Would 100% come back and try their other drinks. Interior is cute, a bit simplistic but it is a brand new shop. read more
I've been to their Irvine location so was excited to hear they opened one in Santa Ana/near South Coast! Love how much more spacious and aesthetic this location is ~ definitely more work-friendly with ample seating & outlets inside. If you plan on working/studying here, I recommend coming early or at a random time since their tables are limited. We ordered the ube matcha & double matcha, which both tasted pretty watered down despite the vibrant green. The cream tops are more flavorful but a little too sweet for my liking. My experience was similar to their Irvine location, so their drinks are just a miss for me. Otherwise, friendly staff, cute space, and would come back simply to get some work done if I was in the area. read more

one of my few 10/10 drinks. i get the hojicha latte at 50% sweet and had the peanut cream top to it. one of the best drinks of my life. the peanut cream top tastes like the adam's peanut butter fudge ripple frosting from cheesecake factory. the sea salt nutty is very good for coffee drinkers. i get that one at 50% sweet and would give it a 9/10 read more

Lotus einspanner is amazing! I'd recommend 50% sweetness on most of the drinks since the foam and syrup are both sweet together! Nice study spot with good lighting and ambiance. Great place to hang out and grab a drink! read more

This is my new favorite coffee shop in ALL of OC. And I am a self proclaimed coffee snob. Their coffee is wonderful and their drinks are not too sweet at all. They use fresh fruit and their creams are light which make you feel like you are treating yourself without the guilt. Their croissants and pastries are also amazing too. The vibe is cute and the ambiance is really chill and welcoming. I will be coming here A LOT. read more
Cute and modern decor with excellent service. I appreciated how we beat the crowd and got our order in and done. The Saturday morning rush came in a blink of an eye. I got the sea salt nutty with one less pump of sweetener. I think it needed the full amount. It was subtle but I don't like my drink too bitter. The peanut flavor was subtle and smooth. We also got the mango matcha which was on the creamier side but the mango sweetness shines through. There are so many matcha drinks to try here, so we will be back again soon! read more
I loved both of these. I got the banana pudding make sure to mix it so the cream flavor comes as well. It was a bit bitter without the cream but when it mixed later it was so goood. The matcha duo was really good as well!! read more

i'm so glad they opened a second location!! inside was super cute, clean with seating for work/studying. the girl taking my order was also super kind and helpful! we got the hojicha einspanner 50 sweet and the double matcha. both drinks were super yummy and flavorful! definitely try the double matcha!! read more
this place is great! they have a wide variety of unique drinks and pastries. they also have a ton of alternative milk options which is always nice. red bean matcha latte (w soy milk): this is really good and not too sweet which i like salty nutty coffee: naturally a bit too sweet for me, but 30% would probably be perfect. good flavor though. i can't wait to try more items on their menu! parking is okay, i feel it can be bad on busy times, not a ton of seating but it's cute. read more

The cinnamon roll was a little dry and hard even when heated up. I think it may have been old. Was still really yummy- I just wished it had been more fresh! Matcha is not too strong so if you like strong matcha I'd recommend a different place. Seating is limited but the staff were very nice! This is very much a one and done spot! 6/10 read more

Was in the area and went to try this cafe at their newer location. Always love finding a cafe with a good vibe and I'm always on the go for my matcha hunt. I got to try their yuzu matcha tonic - the sweetness is only from yuzu and they don't additional sweetener. I love it - the matcha is pretty strong and love that yuzu taste as a base in the drink. They sell some cute accessories/stationery and some snacks inside the cafe. Plenty of seating as well. read more
