If the hot light is on, you get a free glazed donut I'm happy to report that is true. It's no questions asked a hot fresh donut in your hands. I'm sure the staff gets overwhelmed with these requests, but they were so cool and chill about it. I ended up ordering more. The store was so clean and smelled fresh, which is always a plus. Krispy Kreme used to be my favorite, not just amongst doughnut places or even dessert places, but restaurants/fast food in general. Lately though, the brand in general has been letting me down, and this location was no exception. The doughnuts appear to be around 10-25% smaller than they used to be (thanks, no doubt, to corporate, not this location). But, they were also stale and rock hard, which absolutely is the fault of this location. After warming them up in a wet paper towel, they were still pretty good, but I shouldn't have to do that. That said, the interior is clean and the staff nothing but friendly. Better quality control and moving products faster (or just throwing out day or multi-day old doughnuts) and I would still have complaints about corporate, but I'd give 5 stars to this location. read more

Old reliable! I was disappointed to see that the hot and ready sign was off on this particular visit. I ordered the blueberry cake (personal favorite) and cinnamon roll donuts. The blueberry cake was dry but still delicious. The cinnamon roll donut was pretty basic, but I really enjoyed the texture of the donut itself once I warmed it up at home. I sat for over 10 minutes to order on a weekday afternoon with no one in front of me. The lady taking the order was rude...then proceeded to the window with no total and a guy with saggy pants showing his underwear was what I saw. This was the representation at the High Point location where Furniture Market guest, visitors, and college families have to visit. Pull your pants up, put your hair up and out of your face (dude) and use complete sentences not yeah, what's up and we gotcha. Unreal and very unprofessional to say the least. First trip to this Krispy Kreme location. Their selection of filled donuts was limited in the display case, but of course I was still found one that I liked. The service was quick and courteous. Ordered online and picked up in the drive thru was fast and easy, just like I like my...doughnuts!! This location is a bit dilapidated looking and could benefit from a facelift, but I didn't run into any issues with inventory and this was end of day on a Friday with chocolate dozens at half price. By the time I got to the chocolate glazed it wasn't hot, and I much prefer those hot. I'm also not giving 5 stars after learning KK discards their imperfect doughnuts into the trash rather than donating or making some kind of good use of the scraps. The doughnuts aren't worth what they charge. The cream filled doughnuts barely have a tablespoon of filling in them and that's being generous. The last couple of times I went inside the service was terrible. Most of the employees were standing around not doing anything. It looked nothing like the ads I saw. It had a big hair sticking out of the icing. I threw it away. I tasted the second one, after inspecting it carefully. It was all dried out. I used to love Krispy Kreme, and still believe that their original glazed can't be beat when it's hot and fresh, however this location no longer makes their donuts in house. The quality just isn't the same. Not only that, but they never have all of their donuts stocked. I've gone at different times during the day and they're out of at least 3-4 different types, sometimes more. That wouldn't bother me if there was any kind of apology from the staff, but there never is. Virtually every time I go, the staff at the window seems annoyed that they have to tell you they're out of most of their donuts. In fact, the last time I went I asked for a mixed dozen and after asking and being told "we don't have that" over and over, she finally offered the types of donuts they did have in stock. I know in this day and age folks tend to support local businesses even if they aren't as good and tasty as national chains. This is one place I feel has an inferior PLAIN glazed donut. Yes, PLAIN ol' donut. They have many different flavors, fillings and toppings, some seasonal and some on the menu all year but it's the "Original Glazed" that is PERFECION to me. When the Hot & Now sign is illuminated I can get into some serious trouble here. Slow, rude and poor service. I went there this morning and ordered 2 donuts from the drive thru. Although my voice was already raised the sales person told me she couldn't hear me and told me to raise my voice. I am a little soft spoken, but she didn't apologise on behalf of the poor voice receptor or say please. She also didn't tell me how much my order was. Not a huge deal, but a little irritating. Then it takes around 5 minutes for two donuts and a coffee. We were the only ones there. But, I ordered a latte, not a coffee. She doesn't apologise. I wait another 3 minutes. I ordered a customized dozen donuts for delivery through the Krispy Kreme website and they were delivered via Door Dash. The Dasher came quickly, however I immediately noticed the box of donuts was not placed in a bag for extra security during Covid but it did have a sticker taping it shut. That is not the issue, just an extra concern. When I opened the box, I had a completely wrong order! It was a custom dozen donuts, but none of what I ordered. I contacted Door Dash support which referred me to the store since it was done on Krispy Kreme's website (made sense since I paid Krispy Kreme). When I contact the location, I explained my situation and the girl right away asked me "did I have proof like a receipt or something?". I told her I had an order number and I had just received the delivery. She then said I could bring that to the store and pick up a replacement. I told her I ordered delivery and I couldn't do that. She then said that was all she could do. I then asked could she just refund the order and I would order again (hoping the 2nd try would be correct). She said no. She said there was nothing else she could do and I would have to call Door Dash for any refund. I tried explaining it was done on Krispy Kreme's website and Door Dash only delivered in partnership with them, and that Krispy Kreme took the order and payment. She argued with me and insisted Door Dash had the money and they would have to refund it. I asked for a manager and she said she was the supervisor. I hung up with her and contacted Door Dash again which of course told me they did not place the order or take the money and couldn't even locate the order. They said it had to be settled with the merchant and the merchant could call them if they had any questions. I KNOW it was Krispy Kreme's fault, yet they would not fix the issue. This supervisor Hailey blamed corporate and everything else for their "new" policies that did not allow refunds! I am just out of luck at this point! I understand errors, but I don't understand poor service and not fixing your mistakes! read more
