I know it's Krispy Kreme...what no five stars? Nope. They no longer make chocolate cake donuts at this location. Well, the team was fast and polite. The glazed doughnuts were great. Chocolate tops good, Heart shaped doughnut AHHHHHHH so sweet, and the jelly energy lumps were so....jelly. they will have to earn the star......let me eat cake!!!!! #kodiak_kuisine @kodiak_kuisine @yelpmiami @yelp #yelpmiami #yelpbrevard @yelpbrevard

I guess I'll wear the hat

Ordered a dozen donuts and a coffee, got to the window and the guy offered me a paper hat. I declined and he said "are you sure it is a collector's item?" Again I decline. He then informs me that it is tradition to wear the hat if you are eating the donuts outside of the building. Well now, I don't want to ruin tradition, so I guess I'm wearing the hat now! He made sure to tell me about the Sunday special coming up and I reminded him that mothers day is this Sunday and he must not forget to call her. He turned around and pointed to his mother working right behind him. Bless those two. That young man made my morning.

Another half dozen of assorted FAT PILLS. YAAAAYYY!

I went back today for another half dozen of assorted donuts. Everything is fresh and delicious! Service is always fast and courteous. A great location for some "diet cakes". :-D

Closed due to no cashiers? It's 6:40am, have back ups. There were at least four employees inside, why not train one of them register work? My teenagers work on registers. And six of us regular Friday customers in the parking lot. Very upsetting because now I have to go to the office to explain Krispy Kreme had no cashiers for our Friday donuts.

A wasp in the donut display climbing into the filling

Wanted to go to a donut shop in town. You cannot use the front entrance because the door is covered in wasps. I was wise not to get donuts here. You can see that the wasp was in the donut case and in the process of getting inside this donut. Very appalling. Little interest to fix the issue.

Nothing beats a hot off the rack doughnut from Krispy Kreme. Damn corporation BS, why did you leave Long Island?! I stopped in with my son, we saw the red light and thought we'd score a free doughnut. It was hot off the rack but not free. It's all good :) Here's one for the history books. All of the Krispy Kremes closed on Long Island a few years ago. When they were open their signature thing was, when the sign is lit up red, they are baking and you can get a free donut off the rack. 2004, I'm on a business trip in of all places, Chattanooga TN. I have in tow with me a guy I called Fat Frankie. We're driving to the hotel and I'm like "holy sheeyite" the red light is on at Krispy Kreme! Yeah buddy! I pull and and there are about 10 people in front of us. I say loudly, "I guess the donuts must be great here! I'm glad they're free". The cashier looks at me and says, what are ya'll talkin' about? I say, the red sign is on, it means free donuts? Cashier - We have that sign on all the time, there are no free donuts here. Me & Fat Frankie - Well, we're from NY and that's how its done up north. Can you please give us free donuts? We're out of towners. So the cashier says sure sweetie pie, for you, anything. All of a sudden, all the people in line are saying, Hey! We want free donuts too!! I grabbed my coffee and free donuts, we laughed the entire ride to the hotel. And that is just one of my famous traveling stories in the south. Next time on the Yelp / Billy Salts channel: How I ordered pizza in New Orleans and pissed off the locals because I asked for 2 slices (They didn't understand calling pizza slices..)

They also have a self-serve coffee bar, which allows you to customize your coffee how you'd like! I always call ahead, and the food is always ready when I go to pick it up. They are usually open until sold out, which of course is sometimes a double-edged sword if you're like me (sometimes) and don't pick up breakfast until 11 AM/12 PM, lol! You can tell the owner, Ryan, cares about what he does. He has even partnered with the business that I work for! There was one time they were slammed, and had accidentally misplaced my order. We've both worked in food service, and we weren't really upset, we know it happens! Ryan was so apologetic and not only got us our order (hot & fresh!), but he also gave us a gift card for our next visit! Their customer service has always been great! They've gotten new bakery cases, have a small area for kids while you're eating, and overall they feel like a classic small-town bakery! Love Bugs is always the bakery I recommend to people, and I've loved being able to watch them grow throughout the years!

5 star Donuts! 3 star Boba…read more Donuts were superb! Large, fluffy, and fresh. Many exciting and classic flavors. The glaze was the perfect consistency, at other places it usually melts off the donut and makes a mess, but they nailed it here! The creme filled ones were also well done. Not too sweet or overpowering, which is again a typical issue I encounter with other donut shops. Can I also say that the gas station near this place has very cheap gas?! It was 30 cents below average, I'll have to come back for both donuts and gas! Unfortunately, the strawberry boba milk tea was not a hit for me. I didn't taste tea in it, and the milk was very sweet, similar to that of nesquik milk. My palate is sensitive to sugar, so a few sips gave me a headache. If you're in a mood for a sugary milk treat, then you would likely enjoy it. However, those seeking typical boba will be disappointed. Overall a great experience. The ladies were very kind and even offered dairy free options for their boba. The shop was clean and open with two tables if you intend to stay. Stop by for some impressive donuts!

OMG I don't know what they add to the glaze--it's a very simple recipe after all--but it's heavenly. Maybe it's a lack of preservatives? Dunno, but the glazed twist made me groan with pleasure. The apple fritter was really big and it was perfect. I was already going to give them 5 stars, but here's the thing: we ordered a half dozen apple fritters to go, and when we got home, we discovered that the nice lady gave us two glazed donuts on top of the fritters! Who does that? I'm guessing it's because she knew we were new customers. And since it's a Mom and Pop, she was free to do it. We also had breakfast croissants, and I only rate them 4 stars instead of 6. The croissant was perfect, but the cheese was American and the bacon wasn't crispy. The service was excellent--extremely pleasant and the sandwiches came out quickly. There are two small tables inside. If you're ever in the area in the morning, go get yourself some excellent donuts.

With so much potential to be the unique donut shop it aims to be, it just falls flat like under…read morecooked dough. The establishment felt clean but hollow. No life, too little decor and the smallest assortment of donuts. I have gone many times and they NEVER have fruity flavors that mochi is known for and advertised on their website. Maybe 4-6 different kinds that all are caramel or chocolate. The prices are just too high for what you get too. Fun textures but no focus on the Asian flavors that make these creations what they are suppose to be. The service was just atrocious. And I mean BAD!! We were the ONLY people in the lobby with one sole employee that wouldn't even turn around to acknowledge us. Clearly she was working on a large order, however, how long would we have had her backed turned to us unless we spoke up? I will never know. We finally and politely said "excuse me". She only glanced over her shoulder and turned around again. Teenagers. Right? Ugh. So we politely said "we just want 1 donut, can you please help us" With a sigh she turned to face us and just stared. .... We made our order, she got our donut and then just looked at the machine in front of us as if to say with her dead eyes "you better leave me a tip" We didn't. We paid for our donut, with no word ever said to us, and left. Customer service is everything! You can have the best food in the world, but if you are treated with disrespect it becomes the worst food. With good service, a bad meal can be good. Be better Mochinut

It is so cool the Space Coast, specifically Viera and Melbourne, are getting restaurants that serve…read moremore niche foods. Pertaining to this realization, the latest in such is Mochinut Melbourne. Located just east of the Viera/Suntree exit of I-95, Mochinut Melbourne specializes in mochinuts, a hodgepodge impromptu mochi and donut. They also happen to serve boba teas and Korean hot dogs which they shorthand to K-dogs. The aforementioned should interest any foodie patrons on the Space Coast. It should also be noted that Mochinut Melbourne is technically a part of a chain with restaurants located in multiple areas in Central Florida. You'd think Mochinut Melbourne would gleam from their predecessors and this would be a smooth opening right? Wrong! And that seems to be their initial downfall at this moment. For starters, the wait time (when I was there with my friend Paula) was almost two hours. That is quite insane for a line the size I seen which is about ten people, many in groups of families or friends. How can the line be so slow? It is when you get inside you find out why the wait is ridiculously long. The flow of ordering and paying is so bad, no wonder people leave. As shown in my pic of the mochinut counter, there are two areas that seem like a place to order and a place to pay. You know where Paula and I ordered our food? The end of the line at the register? You serious? All this line length in front of the donut counter and they couldn't order-and-go from beginning to end? If they did such, they could get a start on boba teas and K-dogs and have them ready when patrons reach the end of the line where the register is. Just seems inefficient to order and pay at the end of the register with the layout they have. As for the rest of the ambiance, a lot of pink and two parts of the wall seem to have photo opportunities. There are some benches but they were fully occupied along with people standing around waiting for K-dogs to finish cooking and boba teas to finish making. In short: a lot of people were waiting around. Despite the unorganization, you'd think the mochinuts would be worth it, right? Well... yes and no. Firstly, all the mochinuts are technically plain mochinuts with a flavor decored upon them. For example, the blueberry mochinut is the plain mochinut with blueberry flavored icing and some form of blueberry fruit cuttings/pieces mixed into the icing. There are no mochinuts with the flavor baked into the mochinut or any with a flling inside such as Boston cream. Paula and I didn't even bother getting any boba teas or K-dogs because the wait was atrocious. Besides all the flaws, I must say the staff were very pleasant and a pleasure to talk to. It is not their fault they have to follow a procedure and protocol that constantly keeps them struggling to keep up with orders. I really hope the manager steps in and fixes the flow because I am sure they can adjust some things here and there to make the flow of work smoother for the workers as well as patrons ordering food. Ultimately, I am going to have to give Mochinut Melbourne an initial rating of two stars out of five. Since Mochinut Melbourne is technically part of a chain, I would expect more from them. I will return when they settle in more as well as try their K-dogs and boba teas. If they do better in a settled-down state, I will reconsider my initial rating.
