This location came through for me when I needed to order 300 donuts the night before a big business meeting. We ordered them at 7:30 PM and they were ready for us when we arrived at 7 AM. This was the WORST experience ever today! I ordered online the night before for the "Sweet 16" deal for pick up at 7am. Took a different route to work just for this order, paid 2 tolls! I get there, line is wrapped around the building because the lobby is closed. I have no choice but to sit in the line. I get to the speaker, I give my name for my order and the young lady at the window (who wasn't the most pleasant) says that their glaze machine is broken. Then when I ask for a refund, "it's not our fault, it'll be 3-5 days." I pull around and see people in the lobby so I go inside. Me and 2 other ladies were having the same problem. The manager didn't offer any compensation or ALTERNATIVES which would have sufficed. We waited for 15 minutes!!!!!!! When he gave her the refund on paper, he quickly walked away as if I wasn't standing there as well. I had to yell to the back "I'm waiting for a refund as well." When he handed me my paper he quickly walked away AGAIN. No apologies, NOTHING! Piss poor customer service today! read more

My family loves the treat that is Krispy Kreme. We usually wait until there is a coupon or BOGO deal since it can be pricey but it's totally worth it if you can get some dollars off. I usually stop by here and then Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks for coffee because I've still never had a good coffee from here. (This is what took a star) This visit we got their special Christmas themed "Elf" donuts and THEY WERE AWESOME. My daughter also really enjoyed coming when the light was on that showed they were making fresh donuts. You're able to see the entire process from the dough drop, to the flips, and then the staff getting them off the conveyer belt. read more

You'll get what you want here but the service is straight up rude and horrible every time I go here. Went thru the drive thru today and the girl at the the window barely spoke to me and when I told her I had a reward on my account to use, she just looked at me like I had three heads, didn't say anything... had me waiting for her to respond... then I asked if she can use my phone number to redeem the reward. She still didn't say anything. Then proceeds to take another drive thru order on her headset and then all of a sudden she looks at me waiting for me to speak... so I asked if she was ready for my phone number. And she just nods her head as if I was supposed to read her mind. SMH! This place is horrible. Take your service somewhere else if you can. read more

The service at Krispy Kreme is truly outstanding. Chantra Carter, the manager on duty ALWAYS go above and beyond to deliver excellent service. However, on this particular visit the temperature in the store was very hot and extremely uncomfortable. When I asked why it was so hot inside the store, the manager apologized and informed me that their air conditioning system was broken and not working. The employees were doing their best to continue giving the great service they're known for, but I could clearly see their discomfort. It's sad that a company as big as Krispy Kreme will have their employees working in such horrible conditions. I would expect better from Krispy Kreme and would think that they would care about the people who deliver such great service. If your employees care about the service they deliver, Krispy Kreme should care about their health and welfare. I would have given you a one star rating, but Chantra Carter supervise a great team. This was my first time at this location. The hot sign being in brought me to this location over the original location. I came inside since the drive thru line was long. I was in and out although there was a shirt line. The staff took care of us, so that there was no long wait. This is really good. My donuts were hot as expected. Nothing like stopping by when the hot light is on. You can use their app to order ahead, sign up for rewards, and yes to get notified when the hot sign is on. What is there not to love about sugary donuts and refreshments/hot coffee in the morning or throughout the day? You know it's going to be a good day when that, "HOT Krispy Kreme original glaze NOW," sign is on. It means these original glazed donuts are just about to be made or currently being made. Sometimes I stop by and take advantage of them. Very inexpensive for a dozen ($9) donuts. I like how there's a display glass to see the donuts being made from the machine and the worker is picking them off from the machine into the box that will be mine. Once you bite into one, you know just how fresh it is by the warm and fluffy texture, and how it melts in your mouth. There are many other donuts and flavors to choose from in the display, but you know they've been sitting there for a while because they're slightly stale. Definitely worth coming by and taking advantage of that, "hot sign," for the glazed donuts. They have a drive-through for an easy order. read more

I've been working down the street from Krispy Kreme for 8 months and have seen the hot light on maybe twice at most. In the mornings I drive by between 6:30-7:00am and the light is never on nor is it on during my lunch break or drive home. I check the app quite frequently and can never catch the hot light on. Door says they open at 6:00 am. I got there at 7:20 and there were people working inside but the doors were locked. A few minutes later a woman walked up from the parking lot...apparently she was the manager, she asked me, "Is that door unlocked". I told her no. She went inside and after a few moments she opened the door and we came in and got our donuts. NOT ONE PERSON that worked there said anything. No one apologized or acknowledged that they were 90 minutes late opening the door. I went to this location today because I was craving a glazed cake donut. Of course the didn't have any and they talked me into a pumpkin cake donut. I decided to buy a dozen assorted. We got home and none of the filled donuts had more than a half teaspoon of filling in them. My chocolate custard filled had no filling. The pumpkin donut was pretty good but I was very disappointed and will not go back again. There is a great donut shop further down on Midlothian that has much better donuts. read more

I LOVE Krispy Kreme... but something is off with this location. The hot, fresh donuts they make are hot and greasy. Not sure if their machine is off or what. After 6 attempts over 2 years, I've given up and only get the donuts that are made and delivered from the broad street location. (Although the broad street location has consistency issues with their Kreme filled donuts... sometimes having barely any filling). Visited there for a quick sugar high and some coffee. Went through the drive through and my wife ordered a Skinny Hazelnut Latte straight off the menu. The voice over the intercom said "Sorry we don't have skinny, I don't drink coffee, I don't know what it is, but we don't have it". Okay... so this lady could've just said they don't have it rather than go through and berate my wife a negative tone and attitude. We ignored it, and just continued with a regular hazelnut latte and a dozen donuts. The voice on the other side then asked "Do you want your latte hot?", My wife confirmed yes and then the other person continued to say "Well your latte will be hot, but your donuts won't be". Honestly, I've been alive for a good number of years and have never had an experience where customer service was not pleasant or at least neutral. The one interaction at this location will make me never want to return. My dad was on the phone with me while in the drive thru of this location. It was a busy and hectic time. Neither of us is sure what happened, but he was told to circle the building again to either receive or place his order. My dad was upset and confused. i called the store and asked to speak to the manager. Although it was busy, Chirstine took my call, listened to my concern, apologized for his experience and made things right. My dad was pleased and, furthermore, impressed that someone brought his order out to his car asking -- "Are you Nat?" The only negative is that I've noticed that they tend to keep that HOT sign on even when the donuts are not coming out fresh which is deceiving. Horrible customer service. It was my first time coming to this place and I asked for a dozen assorted donuts. The person in drive thru as of June 30, 8:47pm was disrespectful, had an attitude, and was impatient with us. She asked what flavors I wanted, I said "Just twelve assorted ones" I was confused since IT WAS MY FIRST TIME! She then stated "Yeah your gonna get 12 what flavors do you want?." I said okay, I'll take chocolate, strawberry, vanilla. She raised her voice and said "there's no vanilla". Once again, never been here before so I didn't know. I asked if she could just please choose random ones for me because I was having difficulty ordering. She took a deep breathe in and let out a loud sigh and said , "WHAT FLAVORS DO YOU WANT" raising her voice and with a whole attitude. Had dog in car with me which makes that a bit harder but I went in for donuts. Saw two employees standing by drive thru window looking at their phones while a third employee served me at counter about 6 feet from window. I just had to let you'll know how terrible service was this morning at your Richmond Location off Midlothian Turnpike.  I decided to stop when I saw the Hot Now sign on, there was one car in front of me, so that was exciting. I put in my order, and then WAITED 10 minutes in the drive thru before I just left. Instead of management telling the car in front of me whose order was obviously not ready to pull up and wait,  they had the entire drive thru waiting. The car in back of me left and then I left. Had been craving doughnuts for a while. Went to this establishment, waited in the drive thru line only for an employee to say "come in the inside" over the intercom. I responded, "excuse me"? She repeated her initial command. This employee never said hello nor did she share the reason why I was being told (not asked) to come inside. There was no signage indicating the drive-thru was closed. I was there at 9:25pm on a Saturday night. Grateful Dunkin Doughnuts was a short distance away.
