I stopped by Krispy Kreme doughnuts for a couple doughnuts my good friend. We ended up getting a half dozen and smashing three each. The quality of the done is a pretty fantastic, pricey but worth it

To be honest, I am on the fence with this Krispy Kreme location. As much as I love KK, this location falls short on all things that make you crave a Krispy Kreme doughnut the most.... 1) Don't expect piping hot glazed doughnuts coming off an assembly line and being made fresh in-house or 2) The flashing red "HOT" sign blinging that will make you cross three lanes of traffic for their enticing, "OG" vanilla creme addiction -- is nonexistent, no where to be found! As mentioned before, they don't make any donuts on site. They are all shipped in from the Alexandria, Virginia main store.....so no fresh & hot ones here! What you get is a good selection of doughnuts delivered to a box retail (storefront) for sale....which is no different than buying them in a grocery store in my humble opinion. Although this location offer a good variety of KK doughnuts, besides the famous HOT "OG" doughnuts, it's the monthly special or holiday select doughnuts that are what may peak my interest to stop here every now and then. Otherwise, catch me at the original Alexandria location or Dupont Circle storefront that at least makes them fresh as well. I ordered 3 - original glazed, 1 - raspberry filled doughnut & a small coffee. The donuts were decent but they tasted like any Krispy Kreme you could buy from 7-Eleven, Safeway or Walmart sadly. The coffee for the most part, was a no go. It tasted burnt, watered down and like they didn't use enough grounds. In all, just an OK visit....3 Stars at best! Nothing I will be going out of my way for anytime soon. The employees were nice tho' and the store was super clean!

The is is a new location which I think has been open or less than or year. I had meaning to come in for a minute, but I never had the actual free time for sweets. Obviously I've been to their other various locations over the years, and I've grown to love their delicious treats. So tonight was the night and I decided to go for a couple of my favorites. I ordered 2 strawberry iced glazed, 1cake batter, and 1 original kreme. The cake batter was a new flavor to me, and it has a vanilla type creme inside and it was quite tasty. Of course it wasn't as good as the strawberry iced glazed, but still delicious with it's 350 calories. I saved a single strawberry iced glazed and original kreme donut for another day- perhaps tomorrow.

Good donuts! Good customer service. Usually closed during winter storms if there is snow!

Our donut was light and fluffy, with a creme infused with real banana. You can tell that they are being thoughtful on their approach to artisanal donuts, and it really shows up in how they elevate this classic dessert. Its rare to find donuts that balance complex flavors, sweetness level, and good crumb but all of those things are what make it distinct fom others, especially chain restaurant donuts. Of course, these are probably made the day of and ours was a large and substantial size. Its definitely a treat-yourself type of moment to commit to the price point, but we weren't disappointed. My take on high‑price‑point food in Union Market is simple: that's exactly where you'll find it. So once you let go of that once you enter, you have a more pleasureable experience by allowing yourself to indulge and try to find the thing that will really fulfill you. And they did that for me. Thank you beautiful ladies who helped me select my donut!

I went for the buffet brunch at Dear Sushi. I'm not a hugh sushi eater but I loved the cooked stuff. I'm not super adventurous on the raw lol. The buffet is $65 and a 20% gratuity is added. The price was ok with me. There were plenty of food options for me to chose from and the service was good. We sat the bar, Jose and Molly were awesome and mixed up some delicious drinks. The food was delicious. Highlights for me were the fried chicken ( not sure of the correct name), milk bread (had to limit myself, I love bread lol), dumplings ( could have takien the whole tray lol), grilled salmon, and the tempura cauliflower. Another standout was the donuts from the dessert section. These donuts were so lite and airy. Almost guilt free when you bit into them. I would definitely return for brunch or to try out one of the other spots.

I really liked the concept of one "old school" and one "new school" style of the same fish. But, the sushi just didn't live up to the hype. First, the pieces of fish were way too big. The fish was far larger than the rice and very difficult to eat. More like 2-3 bites. Also, some fish had skin on - which I know is a chef's choice - but I found it very unappetizing. Had to choke those down. And the "new school" hand-roll had imitation crab in it. So odd and doesn't feel upscale. We enjoyed the frozen strawberry for dessert. They're super cute and tasty. Just wish we had a better experience with the sushi.

This is an amazing good company- the donuts, the coffee, the employees- just everything. The donuts are high quality, the lattes are always nice and strong, and the employees! Everyone was nothing less than lovely as they worked with me to confirm the new date, and did it with a smile. Thank you so much to everyone for such a positive experience. Best of all, there are mini donuts that are 1/2 of the size of the regular donuts (they have both!). The Classic flavors, mostly cake donuts are in the back while the seasonal yeast donuts and specialty pastries (croissant donut hybrids) are in the display case in the front. The issue is that while the donuts in the front are neatly labeled, the labels are teeny-tiny for the donuts in the back and impossible to read. I wish the labels were larger and there was a large menu for the full list of donuts (instead of the small chalkboard for just seasonal donuts). The super fluffy and moist cake Cider Cake Glazed hit the spot! Even though I prefer warm cider cake donuts, I didn't mind that it was room temperature. I couldn't resist the temptation to save the donut for the kids and noshed on the full donut not even leaving a crumb to spare! Nom nom nom. The seasonal (Sept & March) Brown Sugar Bourbon donut was fun to try. It was topped with delicious maple cinnamon frosting with a custard filling. While I couldn't taste the Bourbon flavor, the donut was tasty. The Mocha Donut filled with Mocha buttercream hit the spot! The seasonal (March) Matcha Latte cake Donut was divine! The seasonal (Oct) Caramel Apple Crumble Donut hit the spot with a maple salted caramel frosting and apple pie filling. I wasn't a fan of the Salted Caramel Cider or the Chocolate Cake donuts. They were a bit dry and after a couple of bites, I threw in the towel on both donuts. I also didn't like the Hazelnut cream donut (not a Nutella or ganache frosting that I expected). The Matcha donut filled with strawberry cream (April special) wasn't that good, the cream was way too sweet. Will come back for the Glazed Cider and seasonal donuts!
