Food was delicious! I had the Italian sandwich and a seasonal blueberry apple crisp donut. It had blueberry icing with apple crisp topping and apple pie filling.
My wife wanted to stop in to try some of the seasonal doughnuts. She enjoyed a couple of them, and I got a cinnamon roll. We felt bad for the barista, who was very busy filling in-store and online orders. It took surprisingly long (about 10 minutes) to get my cup of drip coffee. This location fills a big need in this neighborhood, as there aren't many options on the National Mall. They had food, both made-to-order and pre-prepared, available all hours of the day.
Went here for lunch today and I was pleasantly surprised. Literally had the best lemonade I have ever tasted in my life. Oh my stars that lemonade went stoopid, like I'm still thinking about it hours later. I also ordered the pesto chicken sandwich which was also pretty good. The ciabatta kind of made it a little dry but it was good nonetheless
Nice spot to go grab some flavorful donuts. Mixture of $3-$5 ones were pretty tasty. Ended up really liking the cinnamon sugar and coffee cake. Parking is a little tough but walking there is super easy if you are nearby. Outside and inside parking. Touch screen for easy ordering except for the donuts which you can do in person at the counter and see which flavors they have.
They use black cat espresso and im in love. Earl grey raspberry doughnut for January was insane. Excellent shop but mini doughnuts are the way as the sweetness is up there. Service is okayish, could be better.
Really liked this strawberry cold foam matcha! Wasn't too sweet. Service is always great, too :)
The matcha and donut were great! However, the quesadilla was pretty underwhelming. It was very oily and just didn't taste that good. Still, it's a good spot for a pit stop while exploring the city. The servers were sweet, and while the ambiance was nice, it was a bit on the loud side.
I visited here in November to escape the rain and have a snack while killing time before an event. I had the chocolate frosted doughnut while I forget which one my husband had. He also had an espresso. We both enjoyed our donuts and would be willing to go back and try some more of their items. There were plenty to choose from.
My co-workers and I decided to do a little field trip here. We placed our orders ahead of time. I hadn't even heard of them before. I will be back soon! They're located next door to Johns Hopkins and near the Canadian embassy! I got a vanilla latte and a blueberry lemon scone. When I saw the array of donuts, I just had to get one. It was calling my name! The brown sugar bourbon donut was soooo good. My latte was good too. I am already planning my next trip here. The space is nice and comfy. The menu items look really good and they have sip and paint nights. The service was really good. Literally the nicest people here. I was able to sign up for their rewards program so those points will be racking up! A bit out of our way, but it was well worth it!
Speaking of doughnuts...... I had the "vegan doughnut of the month" and it was delish! I always try their vegan offering and it's hit and miss for me (especially with the cream filling - a miss). BUT, maple - yes pleaseeee! This place is a vibe (from smoothies to doughnuts to home fries - potatoes). I stopped going due to their proud support of #47....
DC is a busy place and this place was bustling! A kiosk at the entrance was convenient and the line was long. I chose the kiosk and hubs chose to get in line. This didn't end as I expected. I only ordered two yogurt parfaits. After asking we went to the waiting area. He was still in line. Time passed so we waited at the bar. He was ordering. He walked from the counter with parfait in hand. We asked about our order and were told that it was self serve. With no receipt, (we entered our name and number), in hand we went past the line to the cooler for the order. Signage or directions on the kiosk would have helped speed up the process.
This place was amazing!! So far best spot we've been at in DC. Highly recommend this spot for breakfast and lunch. The staff was so nice and fast service.

Delicious and unique cake and yeast donuts with over 20+ classic and monthly seasonal flavors. Best of all, the mini donuts are 1/2 of the size of the regular donuts. Don't forget about the cake donuts tucked in the back (behind the cashier) - just look up from the display case! The fall variety of Glazed Cider Donut, Brown Sugar Bourbon Donut, Mocha, Cookie Dough, and Matcha Latte Donut are my favorite! The super fluffy and moist cake Cider Cake Glazed hit the spot! Even though I prefer warm cider cake donuts, I didn't mind that it was room temperature. I couldn't resist the temptation to save the donut for the kids and noshed on the full donut not even leaving a crumb to spare! Nom nom nom. The seasonal (Sept & March) Brown Sugar Bourbon donut was fun to try. It was topped with delicious maple cinnamon frosting with a custard filling. While I couldn't taste the Bourbon flavor, the donut was tasty. The seasonal (Oct) Caramel Apple Crumble Donut hit the spot with a maple salted caramel frosting and apple pie filling. The Cookie Dough (Sept) was also very tasty. After trying the mini donut, I came back for the regular size! The classic Mocha Donut filled with Mocha buttercream hit the spot! The seasonal (March) Matcha Latte cake Donut was divine! I wasn't a fan of the Salted Caramel Cider or the Chocolate Cake donuts. They were a bit dry and after a couple of bites, I threw in the towel on both donuts. I also didn't like the Hazelnut cream donut (not a Nutella or ganache frosting that I expected) or the Blueberry jam donut. The Matcha donut filled with strawberry cream (April special) wasn't that good, the cream was way too sweet. Will come back for the Glazed Cider and seasonal donuts! read more

Their yeast donuts are really good! I enjoyed the bowtie, honey dip, and Long John donuts. The cake donut (PB magic) was dry and too dense, even after warming it up at home. I don't recommend the blueberry buttercream or chocolate almond donuts since they were too sweet, even though they were yeast donuts. The service was good and the inside sitting area was pretty cute. Ultimately, I would come back for their classic yeast donuts and pastries! read more

We stopped by for some breakfast before walking for the rest of the day. I had the egg and cheese sandwich on a plain bagel, a vanilla latte and half a bow tie. We sat in, so someone brought the food to us which was nice. There were a ton of seating options, but the place does fill up pretty quickly. The bow tie was sweet and soft even though it was siting out in display. The latte was a good size, I didn't finish it all and it did what it had to do. The star of the show for me was the egg and cheese sandwich. The bagel was nicely toasted and there was sea salt sprinkled on the eggs that made the sandwich pop for me. read more
Love this place for their doughnuts. Easy to walk in with plenty of seating options! The only issue with this place is that you don't know the flavors of the doughnut until you get to the front. They have minis and full size options which is great! They always have a lot of fun seasonal options. Outside of the doughnuts, the regular menu is basic and not something I would return for. read more
This was a dope little cafe to kickoff our walk and fuel up. It featured indoor and outdoor seating, with high tables, booths, and more. The staff was attentive while we figured out what we wanted from the menu, also helped us in figuring out it. They have doughnuts on display, a little bar like area for pick up, so the ambiance was very cool. I started out with the honey dip doughnut because the staff mention it was a standard doughnut but I wanted to see if I could taste any honey. I also ended up eating the bow tie which was glazed much better. After waiting a little while for the food to be made fresh, our drinks and then sandwiches came out. The medium for the drinks were huge! Though the glass itself was slightly thin. For the sandwich I got the egg and cheese on a croissant ($2) and bacon ($4). It was a well put together and cheesy sandwich but very much was centered. That means I ate a good bit of crescent before I got to everything else. The sandwich had crushed peppers flakes also but was under salted and peppered if at all. Now I will say once I was able to get full bites of it all, great sandwich! The crescent also could've probably been toasted 15-20 seconds less as it was approaching burnt. read more

We stopped here one morning for coffee and shared a breakfast burrito. It's the kind of place where you order at the counter and they bring it out to you. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and it was really cute. We did not try any of the donutsbut they all looked amazing. I wish we would've had time to go back. read more

This Good Company location has been a very good experience for me. The donuts and coffee have been a hit every time. I enjoy their seasonal coffee flavors and donuts. Their classic donut recipes are very consistent and delicious. I also enjoy their pastries, like the bowtie, big apple (apple fritter), and doissant (a fusion of a donut and croissant). The customer service is generally efficient and friendly. The lobby and dining room are inviting and the restaurant's decor is a cross between diner, cafe, and coffee shop. Fitting for this restaurant. Although my experiences at all the GOCOs in the area have been for donuts, they also serve breakfast and lunch here. You can order soups, salads, sandwiches, bagels, oatmeal, breakfast sandwiches, and breakfast platters. GOCO is a good option for breakfast and lunch. Of all the locations in the DMV, this location has a later closing time most days during the week. Overall, I like this GOCO and it is a good experience. read more

I stopped by because I came to see the cherry blossoms and wanted a small related treat. I didn't realize how great this cafe is for their location. If you're on the mall looking for an affordable breakfast, lunch, or picnic, this is the place to go! They have tons of donuts in great flavors. The specialty flavors change every month and there were over 8 different choices so everyone can pick something good. The cherry blossom donut had a great tangy flavor, was light, and wasn't too sweet. They offer tons of drinks but also breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches and salads, and food for a picnic like charcuterie boards. They have indoor and outdoor seating so even on busy days you should be able to find a place to sit. Great location! read more
I am a frequent customer of that large coffee chain with the round green logo, but appreciate competition and alternatives. This is an excellent cafe choice to stop by for a coffee or a bite to eat in a relaxing atmosphere. They have much more than donuts and coffee from their expansive menu. This is a fairly new location that opened and I think The Good Company Doughnuts & Cafe is expanding in the DMV. It is clean, has plenty of seating inside and outside, and has friendly employees. The gentleman that took my order was especially nice and was so genuine in his warm welcome to me being a first time guest. The coffee was wonderful and I enjoyed the unique maple bacon doughnut. I don't live real close to this location, but I will make it a point to walk or take a short bike ride to visit every now and then. read more
This local chain has popped up downtown next to the Canadian embassy (suck it, Tim Horton's). Their selections are impressive and they do a great job of offering special dietary options. For cherry blossom season, they had both a non-vegan cherry blossom donut and a vegan one with vanilla cream and a cherry glaze on top. I experienced no sense of disappointment in having gotten the vegan one; the cream was rich and the exterior crisped nicely. A London Fog was kind of blah; not as good as whatever drink I ordered at the other location of this chain I previously visited. They have a bigger menu with some cooked food options as well. Restrooms were available with a code, and I was surprised at the size of this indoor space relative to its walkability to various downtown sights. There aren't as many really good options downtown as there should be; it's always been a lot of touristy stuff. But this is a good option. read more

Note that as of September 2025 Yelp has the wrong name for this place which makes it hard to find!!!Good Company is a great addition to downtown DC. Fresh delicious food made to order; I got the 'protein bowl' with scrambled eggs, huge asparagus, pickled something or other and cherry tomatoes. I had to ask to get wheat toast with it (shhh now you know). You order at the counter and they bring it to you even outside, very friendly service! I could see this place getting crowded but it wasn't on a beautiful Friday mid morning. I easily got an outside table. Will be back for sure. read more

This place is nearby to all the museums - it is a short walk away but doable. It is a very cutesy spot for breakfast/lunch. I ordered the avocado turkey melt and it has a special sauce on it which was a little spicy. It was delicious! It didn't come with a side so I did order separately some potatoes and then a mini doughnut for dessert. To drink I did have a berry smoothie - wasn't the best but was pretty good, light and a little tart. They did have restrooms here but you have to ask for the code FYI. My husband got a latte - he said it was a little too bitter but was good overall. He also got a cinnamon roll and he said it was delicious. The staff was super friendly and had great customer service ! The person who was at the register when we ordered did seem to be new i'm assuming because when I asked what was on the sandwich she did not know - she did have to ask other staff. Good spot for sandwiches and unique donuts. They have breakfast and lunch items too. I came around lunchtime so I got the chicken pesto panini, which was delicious. This is also a great spot for Johns Hopkins University students and staff given it is right next door. There is plenty of seats both inside and outside the store. read more
The staff here make this place special. They always are so welcoming and it feels like "home". The seating area is great and even has a small bar for the "coffee" area. The "modern feel" and decor makes this place a good sit down to just enjoy or also do some work. Wi-fi can be a bit spotty or slow at times as there is an open network with the Hopkins school next door. We ordered Steak & Potatoes which came with Asparagus. The Chef was kind of enough to split the meal in half on two (2) plates. The NY Strip was seasoned and cooked well and paired well the potatoes/vegetables. If you want a "hearty" meal, this is for you. The baristas do a great job using Intelligentsia Coffee Beans. read more
This may the closest cafe to the National Mall that's open past 5pm. Located inside the Bloomberg Center, this local doughnut shop sells all the usual doughnut flavors and seasonal ones. They are pretty big and tasty! They also sell coffee, grab and go items, and more. There's plenty of seating, restrooms, etc. read more

Chocolate doughnut is a must!! It was so light and fluffy. The Black Forest doughnut was overly sweet, but the great flavors of the other 2 and the amazing hot chocolate made up for it. I had to go back for another chocolate cake doughnut the next day!! read more
Oh the yummy smells that take over when you walk in! Sooo many flavors! Oh my gosh. Decisions were brutal, cause we couldn't order every single one. They weren't as fresh as one would hope, but still soft enough. Cherry blossom was really good and unique! But mocha was by far the best one!!! Will for sure be back to try more! read more
