Our waitress named Cassy 7 on our bill. If she waits on you make sure that she does not add on extras that you do not want. She will ask if you want corn and potatoes with your meal and if you say yes she adds on extra portions of each. Corn for $4.00 more and Potatoes for $3.50 more (They are already included with your meal). When she brought out our food we asked her why we had so many pieces of corn and potatoes with each meal and she said that is what we wanted and I explained to her we only wanted that comes with the meal and you brought us way to many. She said no problem and that she would take them off of our bill and I explained that we did not order and extra food and she said that its ok and that they would take them off of our bill when we paid. Well when the bill arrived nothing was taken off and We asked her about it and she said that she would have it corrected and then came back and asked me for payment and I asked for a copy of the bill before I paid and she had taken off only part of the extras and I told her that she needed to take the rest off of the bill and she stormed away and then 2 other ladies came to the table and told us that we had eaten the extras and that we had to pay for them. WE DID NOT EAT THEM!! I explained this to them and they said the waitress had counted the food that was left and we had to pay for the missing pieces and that was that. We were lied to and tricked into ordering add ons that we did not eat. I paid the bill and explained that we would never come back here again after this mess. It's not the money that matters. It was how we were treated. YOU JUST LOST A LONG TIME CUSTOMER OVER THIS! Just beware when you order so this doesn't happen to you!

Dinner was the pan seared salmon and southern fried chicken. Cornbread was delicious. Flavors on apps and dinner, hit right in the spot! We finished the night with the apple fritter, which was good but kinda wished the cake/fritter was warm. Service was great too. Our waiter was pleasant and courteous. The menu is fantastic -- there's something for every palate! They offer a nice selection of New Orleans-inspired dishes along with plenty of other delicious-sounding options. The atmosphere is lively and has a welcoming local vibe. The parking lot was packed when we arrived, and there was an event happening in their back party room, yet we were seated right away. The owner, Brian, is very hands-on and makes a point to visit each table, which is such a nice touch. I had the jambalaya, and it was excellent! I'm already looking forward to going back and trying more from the menu. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Black linen tablecloths, beads on the tables, candlelight and a festive Mardi Gras vibe throughout. I sat in the dining area, many people came for the bar while I was there. The waiter was excellent. I ordered the Mardi Gras Shrimp and Crawfish with rice. There was plenty of protein in the dish - it also includes sausage and the cream sauce was amazing. I loved it. I also ordered a cup of red beans and rice to go to enjoy tomorrow for lunch. The house salad is pretty basic, but the housemade cajun ranch dressing is delicious. Order it! Note I did order my salad with no tomato. I was also offered bread service but declined. I would definitely come back again - would love to try a blackened seafood dish.

The grilled oysters were pure perfection, garlicky, cheesy, and served piping hot! Paired with crusty bread to soak up every bit of that savory goodness. With Sunday's half-price special, we couldn't resist getting our own order. Just saying the word jambalaya makes me want to start singing ("Jambalaya and a crawfish pie and a fillet gumbo 'Cause tonight, I'm gonna see my ma cher amio"), and once you taste it, you'll want to sing too. Shrimp, chicken, and andouille sausage with rice--a timeless Creole classic. I couldn't resist these perfect sweet oysters with crispy fries, homemade coleslaw, and tartar sauce! We finished with some very tasty sugary beignets--most of which made their way back home as we were very full. The lavender lemonade was refreshing and delicious, but the Hurricane cocktail was truly exceptional.

I'm consistently impressed, so when one of my cousins alerted me to the opening of Crawdaddy's I was instantly intrigued. Though I can take or leave Southern and Creole food, the great reviews were enough for me to want to check this place out - so my siblings, cousins, and I made plans to grab dinner here. Located on Wheeler Ave amongst several other businesses, Crawdaddy's welcomes you before you even enter by piping music outside. As we entered, we were greeted by the host who invited us to sit in the lounge while our table was being prepared. The lounge was off the entrance and had access to a window which peeked into the bar - it was small but effective for those waiting for a table and wanting a quick drink. The decor in the restaurant was well done - there was a good amount of flair on the wall but not so much that it was tacky or over the top. The tables were covered with brown paper and there were some random Mardi Gras beads placed there - this seemed a little sophomoric, but they're new so I can see this leveling up over time. We started with drinks; I had the lavender lemonade which had fresh flavor (I'm fighting for that Spring weather). The menu is broken up into apps and salads, po' boys, fry baskets, and roux and rice. We decided to start by splitting a few apps: dirty fries with beef debris, hush puppies, crawfish mac and cheese, and pimiento cheese. Everything was tasty - the standouts for me were the mac and cheese and the fries - the beef was optional and I definitely recommend going with it. The hush puppies were a little too bready for me (that might be my lack of eating them talking), but they came with a blueberry compound butter which was a nice touch. The pimiento cheese came with saltine crackers which was...a choice, but the cheese itself was good. For my main I went with the fried shrimp po' boy - this was quite massive and contained a lot of shrimp (not complaining). The bread was soft and it was paired with a creamy aioli and pickles - kinda messy but well worth the extra napkins. You could add fries for $4 (oof), but I opted not to which in retrospect was a good idea because the sandwich was filling enough. For dessert we went with beignets (shocking I know) in two varieties: classic powdered sugar and cinnamon sugar. Both were tasty - I mean it's fried dough so how bad can it be. The cinnamon ones came with a chocolate sauce which was a nice complement. Service was great - from the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and all of the staff we interacted with afterward were very friendly. Food also came out at a good pace which is always a plus. Overall, I had a great experience at Crawdaddy's. While I don't run to this type of cuisine, they are serving good food here. If I ever found myself here again I wouldn't complain.

This was our first time since employees took over from long-time owners Michael and Bobby and slightly changed the name to Clementeam. Ambiance is toned down from what it had been. Every restaurant has a bad night and we just happened to experience this last night. To start, we shared a Calamari Appetizer (special) that was cooked to perfection. The calamari was crispy, as requested, and came with a spicy sauce accented with crumbled bleu cheese. The bread was also excellent. Entrees consisted of Crab Cakes, Grilled Blackened Tuna and the Catfish Special. Here is where things went downhill - the crab cakes were noticeably dark and the mashed potatoes were underwhelming. The tuna was not medium rare, as requested and was also quite dark. While two of the sides were piping hot and quite tasty (jambalaya with andouille sausage and corn maque choux), the hush puppies looked like black golf balls. The blackened catfish was delicious and the plating was very nice. What happened? Old oil for some of the preparation? New help in the kitchen? I don't know but it needs to be looked into. Our server, JP, was excellent and attentive and conveyed our concerns to the kitchen. That said, we will return in the future as I believe this was a "one off". The decor has been improved a bit since our visit in February, but is still miss the old vibe.
