Disappointed because I normally go to a different location and it was closed that day so I figured it should be the same. We'll no. The chicken was not fresh and it did not sit well with my stomach. Unfortunately, I am not sure how often the chicken is made fresh at this location. I was meeting with family for a potluck lunch and was tasked to pick up fried chicken "for the kids." I thought I'd Krispy Krunchy because of a previous experience and thought the kids would love it. As most KKC's, this, too, was located inside a gas station. Three people ahead of me waiting for their orders. But there was no wait as one was packing up orders and the other took mine. I always said made to order food is always a plus, but foe this, I'd make an exception. I was outta there in a couple of minutes with a 25pc chicken and 10pc wings. It was a hit, of course. Both big and (not-so-small kids) loved it. Only a few pieces left by the end of the gig. VERDICT: Pre-cooked and served from a warmer, but don't let that deter you. The cajun seasoning is yum, and since I got all dark meat, the seasoning managed to make it in the meat: it was tender and really juicy on the inside. Last but not least, they really stand up to their name: each bite was crunchilicious! FOOD: 5. SERVICE: 4. Quick and friendly staff. VALUE: 4. PARKING: N/A. Gas station so not a lot of spots. It was full when I got there, so I parked next to a pump. Wasn't a problem since only 1 person was pumping gas and I didn't take long. OVERALL: 4.25. Great first stop! I have been passing by this place for years but tend to look past it because its inside of a gas station. I decided today to finally give it a try because I was craving chicken and I was passing by this area! Staff (which was just staff of the gas station) was friendly and eager to offer help with navigating through the menu. We ended up getting the Family Pack which consisted of 12 pieces of chicken (breast, leg, thight), 6 tenders, 6 biscuits, and family fries! The chicken were huge! The tenders were nice, warm, and juicy! The biscuits were soooo yummy, moist, and buttery! It tasted like there was already honey on top which I really loved! There were various sauces to choose from which gave a lot of variety! All in all I would definitely come back here again for a quick family dinner. Who would have known that gas station chicken could be that good. I think it's 1000 times better then KFC and better than Popeyes. This morning we grabbed a 25 piece. The location didn't have enough tenders so we got a mix. I never had the fried Chicken just the tenders. It was hot, perfectly salty and crispy deliciousness. Also, just shout out to the young man answering the phone. Thanks for being polite and kind on the phone. I just noticed this place popped up out of no where! My go to Krispy Krunchy Chicken is on Hesperian. The Jackson one is much closer so I thought to give it a try. Parking isn't as great and it does get pretty busy. The inside looks a lot more newer and cleaner than the one on Hesperian. Down side is that this place is really small. I got the 12 piece mix. The wait time wasn't bad. Probably around 3-5 mins and the staff brought me my bag. Once I brought it home, I inhaled the food. Pros: Taste about the same. Fast(er) service. Closer to my area. Cons: The chicken isn't as steamy hot compared to the one on Hesperian. The chicken breast is a bit more dry. Parking might not be great. Smaller interior means less distancing during covid times. read more

I never thought I'd be reviewing fried chicken from a gas station but it's 2022 and here I am... I'll preface this by saying I LOVE fried chicken and it's hard for it to ever disappoint me. With that being said, Krispy Krunchy Chicken is a must try for any chicken aficionado. Every piece was juicy and fried perfectly. The batter to meat ratio was perfect. There was just enough spice without being overdone and the tenders were amazing! Their biscuits are incredibly tasty and are the best I've ever had from a fried chicken place. In HI for instance, some of the best fried chicken was at a gas station on the back-road leading back to Kona. It wasn't even marked, just a line of peeps. KKC has been a fair experience, and maybe it just doesn't live up to expectations, but this place didn't have the right vibe to start. I blame the customer service for taking a star away. This place is just "OK" It is inside of a gas station and has their food at the cashiers desk where you pay for your gas if you were to come in and get gas. They have all the stuff that goes with chicken and even the sandwich. I got a breast and wing plus potatoes and biscuit for my husband and I got myself the chicken sandwich. Hubby said his chicken and potatoes were good but I did not like the taste of the chicken sandwich. It lacked a crunch to it and reminded me of a McDonalds Chicken Sandwich or a copy of it. I tasted hubbys chicken and liked it better than what I got so maybe next time I will order that going forward if I come here again. Its not the best but it's not the worst and its worth at least a 3 stars. I thought that maybe I found a KFC or Popeye's alternative but was rather let down. read more

Worth the wait ! I got there just in time for them to put in fresh chicken and it had the right amount of crunch. Other Krispy Krunchy Chiken places have chicken that was a bit dry so I was hesitant, but my sister in law recommended this place and it did not disappoint! I was able to place my order and fill up my gas tank and by the time I was done, my chicken was hot and fresh. read more
