The fries could use a little seasoning that isn't just salt because they felt a little bland next to the burger. Oh, and it's less than $13. Like where can you do and get a 1/2lb burger that actually feels like a 1/2lb for that price. Here, that's where. The waitress was super sweet and attentive. They weren't busy which was shocking. The restaurant itself could use a little more ambiance. I know it's more of a sports bar, but it is cold feeling. Knowing if there's specials would help too. They do have several TVs and apparently they do karaoke on Saturday's. Excellent lunch, will be a top of the list spot from now on.

Wow--what a hidden gem in Kyle, Texas!…read more After working late and heading to a concert, we completely skipped dinner and were starving afterward. Most places were closed except for a few chain drive-thrus, but this spot was still open and we'd been wanting to try it ever since they opened. The kitchen closes at 1:30am. Perfect timing! We ordered the chicharrones with guacamole, the Boring Burger, and the Piiggy burger with sweet potato fries. Let me start by saying: you HAVE to order the chicharrones. My husband usually doesn't even like chicharrones, but he absolutely loved these. They were freshly fried, not oily at all, super light and airy and gone in about two minutes flat. The burgers might look like typical bar burgers, but don't be fooled. They were surprisingly not greasy at all, made with fresh (not frozen) beef patties. The buns were soft yet sturdy and didn't fall apart while eating. This is what I'd call elevated bar food with great flavor and noticeable freshness. I'm not usually a burger person, but I genuinely loved these because they were fresh and not heavy or greasy. The sweet potato fries were also a win. Again, not greasy at all. Honestly, they tasted like they came out of an air fryer, which made them feel lighter and healthier. The space is great too: indoor and outdoor seating, plus a kids' play area just outside the patio, which is a huge bonus for families. Service was excellent--friendly, fast, and attentive. If you live anywhere near Kyle, you should absolutely check this place out. We'll definitely be back!

This location isn't bad but its def not on par with my fave location in south Austin. The wings here weren't as crispy and a bit drier (not dry just not as juicy). I got garlic parm, korean bbq and reg hot. The garlic parm flavor was ok...a bit light on flavor but again, not bad. The reg hot was the best flavor as it balanced the spice and butter perfectly for a wing. The korean bbq was a total let down. I noticed it wasn't sticky like I'm accustomed to. It was also VERY brown, like bbq sauce. Then i bit it and...bbq sauce. I could tell it was meant to be spicy bbq but the bbq flavor just dominated...i dunno whats up with that sauce but i wasn't wing stop korean bbq like i know it to be. Even though my overall experience with the product from this location is lack luster the look of the location was nice. I liked the big electronic board you see when you first walk in where you track your order's progress. Also, the girl working the counter was friendly. She greeted everyone as they came in and provided prompt service. Efficiency is the name of the game here. If they can get the quality of the product correct this world be a top tier location.

They didn't take long to make the churros and pizza. They were friendly and efficient but not sacrificing quality of food. I like that you can select crispy for your crust when you customize a pizza. The pizza was pretty good! Better than I had expected. The churros were so yummy. I've had all the flavors and all are delicious. It just depends which is a fave or craving for it. I haven't walked inside but it looks to be kept clean and they have seating and bathrooms if you plan to dine there. I recommend this spot. They have different types of pizzas that, per my hubby, likes a-lot and I love the churros. I would eat pizza here again as well. Overall, they didn't disappoint and they satiated my craving at the time. lol

That said I'll be brief as if you've been to Popeyes, outside of service, the food should be about the same. The sweet tea is fairly good and so are the fountain drinks. The popcorn shrimp is an ok meal. They are shrimp somewhere under all the breading, which might I add is extremely spicy, as this is their only option. The biscuit is really good, flaky and soft in the center. The homestyle mac is the best out of the sides by far. Cheesy and the pasta isn't limp at all. The fries I would skip as their usually not fresh out of the fryer but they do have some good seasoning. The red beans and rice is average at best with little seasoning and tasting like mush. The potatoes and Cajun gravy are decent. At least it doesn't taste like it's made from a box and water is added. I wish they had more than one gravy option as I don't really like the flavor. The basic chicken sandwich is BIG and tasty. One can really pick up on the buttermilk in the juicy and plump chicken breast. The mayo is good but sparse as are the pickles. The brioche bun is a good choice as it can hold the whole ensemble together. Overall, it's probably the best chicken sandwich in the fast-food game. As for fried chicken I've only had the thighs. However, those thighs are darn near perfect for fast food. Crispy and not greasy while moist and I've never had it taste as if it had been sitting out for a long time. Overall, this Popeyes is not bad at all and I've never had to wait long for my food. Quality ranges from item to item however since the chicken is the driving force, they're tops in the fast food fried game. I park into Zaxbys only to realize I've gone all day without my wallet. I'm about to inquire about tap to pay options using my cell phone (been years since I used it). Needed an update and I was about to walk out empty handed when an employee just hands me a large drink cup for free. Well, it was high time I returned (with a wallet) for an actual meal. Second trip I roll in and order the half tenders half boneless to go with a large drink. Head back to the truck and dig in. The boneless was nicely sauced and the tenders were fine with the provided dipping sauces. Sides, well there aren't many choices. Same as that Canes place. This unfortunately is happening too often in these chicken chains. Fries and slaw are fine but I want variety in sides so you don't go into boredom. Credit to Golden Chick for having AMAZING Dirty Rice. Popeyes for Red Beans and Rice. Fried Okra at Church's Texas Chicken. Extra star for the excellent service.

And if I'm not going back, chances are darn good that my wife isn't either. Zaxby's is on Old San Antonio Road in Buda in the midst of Fast-Food Franchise Row. Karen and I were trying this place for the first time in the two years we have lived in Turner's Crossing. The fast-food zone is very convenient to us, so it is often a last-minute destination. However, it wasn't the food that got my tighty whities in a bunch. I was flabbergasted after getting an order including wings slathered in barbecue sauce when we were told they were out of napkins. Did they expect us to wipe our fingers on our clothes? Or just lick them clean? The vinyl upholstery in the booths was beckoning, but I figured that was probably a bridge too far. An employee just shrugged her shoulders, basically wondering what we expected her to do. We told her to find some paper towels in the kitchen or refund our money and we'd go elsewhere. They found the paper towels. We also suggested that they warn customers about the lack of napkins BEFORE they order finger food covered with sauce. Food was edible but nothing to rave about. Karen had the veggie egg rolls. She finished them, but pronounced them nondescript. Certainly not worth a return visit. I had a combo plate of the nicely sauced wings and some pretty good chicken fingers. My bone-in wings were meaty and decent, but the chicken fingers and especially the fries were over-salted. Most of the chicken fingers came home with me for lunch tomorrow because I really enjoy that stuff cold too. There's also a limit to how much salt I can ingest at one sitting. The thick-cut fries were actually quite tasty, but after a few bites the salt just became overwhelming. Of course, our enjoyment may have been colored by the apparent lack of interest in paying customers. Also the decor was the most depressing of any fast-food place I have been to in the area.

Pizza was my favorite food group at the time. Of course my mother bought a few kits. I remember making it one night during a sleepover... wow! I may have been 12 but it was some of the best pizza I'd had to date. So imagine my delight when I move to Kyle and I see a Little Caesar's - what! This is a real business? Mind = blown. And it's just $5 for a large pepperoni?! Life is looking good. I now hate pepperoni because of Little Caesar's. I refuse to eat a pizza within a few inches of a pepperoni. OMG it was so disgusting and the pizza was nothing like the kit I used many moons ago. Not only that, it was worse than any other chain (and I hate Papa John's with a passion). It's worse than any other frozen pizza (well maybe with the exception of Totino's or whatever they serve at 7-11). I can't think of any other time in my life I've only had ONE slice of pizza and threw the rest in the garbage. Also, bubbles galore! Another really annoying thing was the teenage girl kept having to scream out, "ONE PEP! ONE PEP!" to the person who was literally 8 feet away from her where all the pizzas were. Why must you scream, why can't the other person hear you, and why can't you get it yourself? 3 stars because I'm actually glad I don't want pepperoni anymore. Also because it's cheap and as a college student getting more poor by the minute I'd probably drunkenly resort to a large cheez one night.
