Bomb ass chicken at a gas station ?!

Tbh if you want some good ass chicken I think this is the place ! Its better than kfc

    Krispy, krunchy, and delicious

I've driven past this gas station a dozen times, seen the fried chicken sign and said "yeah right". Today I was nearby and hungry but didn't have a lot of time so figured what the heck. I recalled once when I asked some Tulsa locals where to get the best chicken in Oklahoma and found out it was at a gas station outside of town (and they were right, it was awesome). What you have to know is this isn't a restaurant and yes it is located in a gas station. Think indoor food truck and you'll get the idea. It's a tiny window off to the side and I understand that it's staffed by one woman who is only there around lunch time. We got there right after she left but she had bagged some in chicken and placed it in an adjacent hot box. We bought a bag of four huge chicken tenders for $5.49 and the cashier let us choose a dipping sauce to go with it. The chicken was still very hot, fresh and yes it was tender. Somehow they manage a lightly spiced, very crispy and very meaty tenderness that's still moist and flavorful inside. If you're used to valet parking and white tablecloths and are offended by the whole premise of food being served at a "smelly old gas station", this place isn't for you. If how the chicken tastes is what really counts to you then you should give this place a try. It's actually surprisingly good.

Bring Elaine back!!!!!! The new girl is slow and very unfriendly! Acts like it's a chore to help anyone! Kind of your job! At least Elaine talked with you and asked how you were doing and etc. this one you're lucky if she even looks at you. Food is still pretty good. But you definitely know it's being cooked by someone else. :-(

They were a 5 star until they stopped selling breasts. That did me in. Krispy, krunchy, if you like just dark meat it is a good go.

The chicken is really good for a gas station. The ambiance is not a place you would sit and eat at, but to take home or eat in you car.

Food is horrible. The fried chicken has no flavor and the rice and beans is a joke. I guess you get what you pay for at this place.

From the outside, the place doesn't look like much, tucked away in a small shopping center. Once inside, there are a plentiful number of tables in the smallish restaurant, which does not feel at all cramped. It is tastefully decorated, and you order at a counter, and they will either call you to get your food or bring it out to you. On the day we were there, the owner was behind the counter and took our order. He asked if we had been there before, and since I had not, he took the time to explain the menu to me. They focus nearly exclusively on chicken tenders, and we opted to share The Three Tenders, which comes with...you guessed it...three chicken tenders (with your choice of heat level), three warmed tortillas, pickles, and alley sauce (the house dipping sauce) on the side. We added sides of French fries and Cole slaw, and the owner gave me a free fountain drink since it was my first time there. So nice! We grabbed a high-top table, and once the food came out, and I bit into the first tender, I knew I was eating the best chicken tenders I have ever eaten. Seriously. These are awesome and at a decent price, too. The tenders are very large and perfectly breaded. The spiciness matches the heat level you choose--not to little and not too much. No mushy tempura batter here either. And the house dipping sauce was perfectly suited to the tenders. The fries and slaw were great, too. If you like chicken tenders, you won't regret trying Hot Chicken Alley!

The dry hot was my pick of the two, but I wish it was hotter. For a hot wing, it missed the mark for me just a bit. I'm not sure if that's because they used less pepper to prepare mine (originally, he brought them out but when he sat them down on the table, he took them back saying he forgot seasoning and brought them back shortly after with pepper flakes on them) Either way, the wings themselves tasted good. But not a stellar "hot" wing flavor to really hype me up. They run a number of specials, though, like $1 per wing sometime during the week. And I saw they had some weekday combos as well. Overall, they seem pretty affordable and they are a local business so I hope they do well! I may come back one more time to try it and get a final verdict on the heat and flavors to get takeout. The restaurant itself wasn't the cleanest. Our table was a bit sticky and seemed not washed recently, and the floor had dust on it (which I get is hard to upkeep during monsoon season). If I come back, I'd likely get take away and not do sit down though.

It turns out they are right as every time I go to Raising Cane's, their chicken fingers and sauce are indeed the most craveable chicken fingers I can recall over the years. This is the Raising Cane's location closest to where I live, and I have enjoyed meals many times at this location, as recently as this summer. The service is also great and the food comes out very quickly and is very tasty. They have five combo options. My regular pick of combo meals is the 3 Finger Combo, consisting of three chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Cane's sauce, Texas toast, and a regular fountain drink or tea. If I was even more hungry or prepared to share, I may have chosen the larger combos like the Box Combo (an extra chicken finger and coleslaw) or the Caniac Combo (six total chicken fingers, two sauces, coleslaw, fries, Texas toast, and a drink). They also have the Sandwich Combo and the Kids Combo. They also have tailgate options and extras (add-ons). I absolutely adore their lemonade with their small crushed ice, too. You should also check out the Caniac Club at https://www.raisingcanes.com/caniac-club. By signing up, you will get insider information on what's going on at Raising Cane's and receive benefits and surprises including birthday and member anniversary treats or occasional free fingers or BOGO deals during certain holidays. Raising Cane's also does so much for the community and has fun giveaways every now and then. I once entered and won a behind the scenes experience at the Arizona Diamondbacks put on by Raising Cane's. I also once grabbed Raising Cane's at the March Madness tournament and won a national sweepstakes that included a wonderful gift basket and a gift card that kept me going for quite some time. While I try not to get it too often any more, going to Raising Cane's is always a treat and something special every now and then. I strongly recommend it for craveworthy chicken fingers and sauce!

The Paradise Valley location is our closest, and I think a Cane's in Desert Ridge would do so well! The drive-thru at the Paradise Valley location is a little funky because you have to pull in and drive past the drive-thru entrance before getting into the actual line. That said, the drive-thru is always pretty quick. My son always gets the Caniac Combo . It's a big meal for him so he usually eats half and then saves the other half for later. He doesn't like coleslaw, so he substitutes it for an extra piece of Texas toast. Since the combo already comes with toast, he ends up with two pieces, which he loves because he makes a chicken sandwich with them! He always gets extra sauce, and more than once he has convinced me to order the "cup of sauce," which is SO much sauce! I only do that when my daughter and husband are getting meals too so everyone can share it and it doesn't go to waste. My husband always gets a half tea, half lemonade with his combo. And of course, there is something about that Cane's sauce that is just so good! My son loves dipping both his chicken and fries in it. Cane's is definitely a family favorite, and we would love to see one closer to Desert Ridge! Until then, we'll keep making the drive to Paradise Valley.
