Oh how the greats fall…read more About 10 years ago, when Fire Wings started popping up, it was legit one of the best wing spots around. Unfortunately, its time at the top was short lived. Year after year the quality and service declined, and eventually I stopped going. I rarely order delivery, but wings sounded good and Fire Wings is the closest to me, so I gave it another shot for old times sake. I have dined in at the midtown location before and it's fine, fast casual and usually busy late night. Today, I ordered the 10 wing combo with plain fries. Hot take, but I've never liked their seasoned fries. They always feel overcooked and oily to me. I got mango habanero and lemon pepper, added five extra fire wings, and an extra ranch. The total would've been $38, but I had a $10 off coupon, so it came out to $28 before tip. Still expensive, but that's delivery pricing these days, not really the restaurant's fault. What is their fault is the size of these wings. Look at the photos, they were like toothpicks. I used to love Fire Wings because they served good quality wings with a lot meat on them. These had to have had less than an ounce of meat each. And it wasn't just a few of them, like 80% of the order was undersized. I honestly feel like they might have set aside a bunch of small wings for delivery orders, because the last time I dined in they were not this ridiculously small. The fries were whatever, basically standard frozen fries. I do remember that they used to give a ton of seasoned fries back in the day, but it looks like they also skimp on fries as well these days. The ranch was just okay, nothing special. The mango habanero was solid, one of my favorite wing flavors. Lemon pepper was just okay. And the fire flavor, which is supposed to be spicier than regular buffalo, tasted exactly like regular buffalo. This will be the last time I give Fire Wings my business. I have to accept they just aren't what they used to be. At this point I'd honestly take Wingstop over them for bigger wings and better sides. It's a shame, because the one thing Fire Wings always had going for them was their range of flavors.

The bit towards back is the only meat. The rest of the wing is just a giant bone.

Great atmosphere tonight! There's a watch party going on…read moreover here for the World Cup, and the customers are so involved. Our server, Adam was great. He suggested the Prime Rib Dip, which looked delicious, but they were out of the white cheese, so I got to try it without the cheese. That was very good too, so I can't wait to come back and try it WITH the cheese. The sauce (au jus) is a thicker sauce, and with the horseradish sauce, was the perfect complement. My granddaughter loved her hamburger, and my daughter was okay with her fish and chips. This place is packed but the servers are on top of it. We started eating so fast I only took a picture of a portion of my prime rib dip

There are plenty of TVs throughout the venue, but the larger ones behind the bar looked a bit faded and weren't very clear. From my seat, I often had to look around other people to see the game, which wasn't the experience I expected. Sitting directly under a large TV also felt awkward, almost like everyone was looking in my direction, and I accidentally hit my head on the corner of the TV a couple of times. The food was what I'd expect from a sports bar--good, but nothing particularly memorable. Would I come back? Yes. Would I pay for the VIP experience again? Probably not. I don't think it offered enough value for the price.

The chicken was impossibly tender on the inside with a crispy, flavorful crust that had just the right amount of heat. You can tell they're not cutting corners -- every bite felt intentional. The vibe alone is worth the visit -- hip-hop energy, retro games, and a staff that clearly takes pride in what they're putting out. This isn't fast food. This is a whole experience. The food: I enjoyed the food. Chicken had a light batter and a good crunch. Not sure what about it but it got soggy fast. Bread soaked up so much sauce. The money sauce was great! Loved it. Problems with ordering: need a bigger menu or bigger writing. Person taking orders needs to speak louder or use a microphone. Couldn't hear anything over the music. The biggest con: They have heat levels. But anything above medium+ cost $1 extra and they don't tell you. I saw it pop up when he rang me up and I declined. I took medium +. You're a hot chicken joint. Why are you charging for spice? That's ridiculous when it's already $16 for sando and fries.

We popped in and immediately bellied up to the bar. The bartender was super friendly and got our drinks very fast even though the place busy. We quickly found out that it was karaoke night, which is why there was such a packed house. What we didn't know is that the gay men's choir had shown up, after their practice, to have a few drinks and dominate the mic. We ordered a ton of bar food and loved everything. The loaded toys and the fried zucchini were my fave with the sliders being a close second. This is a full bar with beer, wine, and cocktails. I stuck with a vodka soda and my friend sipped on a custom drink. Not sure what it was called, but it was red and my friend really enjoyed it. Not only were we lucky to experience the gay men's choir incredible singing talent, but they also did a full on dance routine to an *NSYNC song. Truly a masterful performance! It ended up being karaoke night and we had drinks, food and amazing entertainment! WOW some of the people there were INCREDIBLE singers- and dancers! We got a little NSYNC, Bye Bye Bye and it truly wowed us! I asked the bartender to make me their favorite cocktail, I don't know what it was but it had tequila and was delicious! We also had the Bacon Cheddar Tots ($10), Sliders ($14), and Fried Zucchini ($9). Everything was well seasoned, flavorful, and cooked well. The perfect food pairings with late night bites. Using the yelp app. Due to glitching with the internet service one order was duplicate 7 more times in error and the order went through. I contacted both GrubHub and the restaurant immediately to notify them the error. Thinking someone from the restaurant would also respond wondering if this was correct that someone would be ordering the same exact thing in quantity. Online with Grubhub they left me on hold for 45 minutes and once I reached this location, after I also sent an email, I was told to call another location that was closed. I held one line and called Grubhub from my husband's phone. We are now 30 minutes from the original order being placed and they say it's in process and can't be stopped. Two hours later a delivery person showed up with all this food. We try to declined the order and the driver, nice guy, tells us to call again to get it addressed. All this food going to go to waste. I was no longer hungry. 5 small salads and 8 brisket burgers. Charged for 9 meals. STILL WRONG. NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE YELP PARTNERING WITH GRUBHUB!
