Came here for lunch at a break during a class I had up in the north area. It's in a very large parking lot but there are several restaurants located here. I had to park a little distance from the place. It's ok in size with a few tables and two large long tables to fit large groups. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I saw that they have a lunch special with many chicken items to choose from. I got the 3 drumsticks with a side of rice. The price for the special is $11.95. Not bad price. The table we sat at wasn't really clean. I didn't see the staff cleaning the tables so heads up for that. My chicken was fabulous, juicy and yummy with the garlic sauce that I got. I came back again to this place after my last review last 2020. Today I was really craving for a good chicken wings and it came across my mind that this place exist. I always order their soy chicken and it is really good and this time its my first time to order half and half, like half drumstick and half wings and it was really good. They gave me a side of pickled radish and it's really good. I remember I tried this restaurant back home (Philippines) but didn't hit the spot. I had heard a lot of good things about this place so decided to try it. All orders are placed at the counter. The menus are on the screen + folded menus. The place is hip & cool looking with different type of sitting area both indoor & outdoor. There is beer on tap and I strongly recommend you are hungry when you come here because the servings proportions are very healthy. We ordered the sampler and there was still plenty for a third person. The staff was helpful and they even delivered our food to us when it was ready which was super hot, fresh, and scrumptiously delicious. My friend and I stopped in for a late dinner on Saturday night after seeing a movie. The inside is fairly small in comparison to the location that I've been to in Natomas, but they are located in the same shopping center on Arden next to Cinemark and Home Goods. I've only been to the Natomas location one time, but I remember that we really enjoyed the food so I was happy to check out this location. We ordered the Bulgogi Fries and Korean Tacos with Fried Chicken to share. We really enjoyed both items - they were very flavorful and filling. I was really excited to see that they had a Korean Corndog on their menu, but was bummed to learn that they were sold out of them - I've been wanting to try one! I came here before a movie for dinner and had a good experience. There is plenty of parking in the shopping center. It is order at counter service. The girls at the counter were friendly. I ordered 10 wings, they let me split the sauce into soy garlic and spicy and they separated them for me with paper. The wings were good, crunchy and a great amount of sauce. I paid $20 for these with tax which I thought was kinda expensive. Their ranch/ dressing cups are packaged and not homemade. This one felt a little more casual than the others I've been to. It was just ok. The bibimbap I got was alright, but not very memorable at all. The chicken was alright/OK, and not as good as you can get in the same general neighborhood unfortunately. They did have a self serve fountain drink setup, and that's always appreciated. Hello, I made a to-go order on DoorDash and had my bf pick up the food for me. I ordered Bibimbap and wanted to make sure there was Gochujang. And the staff lied to him and told him they don't have it at that location. We trusted them and stopped on the way home at a supermarket to get Gochujang coz I really wanted it. Come to find out there was Gochujang and they were just being sarcastic. We really don't appreciate the sarcasm and had they just told us there was some in there we wouldn't have wasted 20 min of our time going to get more. This is my first time dining in a Bonchon. The restaurant is very clean and modern with upbeat pop dance music playing. The front server was very helpful. I ordered the lunch special with mixed wings and drumsticks with soy garlic and Korean BBQ sauces and coleslaw. The chicken was fried perfectly crispy and tangy outside with moist tender meat inside. I've visited several Bonchon locations over the years. The other stores' food was a little better. Each time I've chosen take out over dine in, so I am comparing apples to apples. I realize this sounds kind of strange, especially since this is a chain, but our food just didn't quite seem up to par. It was okay, but my recollection of the boneless chicken was that it was much juicier and tastier than what we got at this restaurant. The service was fine. Nothing special, but not bad at all. Wow...this place was horrible. I ordered the glass noodle dish with Bulgogi and an order of Bao with pork skin. The Bao was alright. Small with one square of pork skin in each one. I got 3 in the order. The big disappointment was the Bulgogi glass noodle dish. I got my order and there was I kid you not..about 1oz of shredded bulgogi. I know my measurements because I follow a macro diet and weigh my meat every day. I went to the cashier to ask if they can add more meat. Afterall, for both items my bill was $34.26 and I didn't purchase a drink. She went back and I saw her talk to someone in the kitchen. She told me that they couldn't do anything. And if I wanted more meat I would need to purchase it. What the hell?! I would have gotten more meat had I eaten at the poke spot next door. They advertise their chicken as extra crunchy. Even on the box it says "crunch out loud," but it ended up being the complete opposite. Not only was it not crunchy at all, it was soggy and barely seemed cooked. There was also hardly any sauce on either of our chicken orders, so all we could taste was the sogginess. We also got Shrimp Shumai which was ok at best honestly. They also have a small selection of beer here including Coors, Num num Juice, New Glory, Sapporo, and a few others. I love Bonchon!!! Korean fried chicken is chef kisses. I always get bonchon but it is sometimes expensive. I do recommend getting a mixed medium-sized which is about $30. You must get the soy garlic chicken and spicy. It is one of my family's and friend's favorite chicken flavor. I do wish they gave out sauce when you order a mix instead of paying 99¢ for sauce. We also got some of the seasoned French fries and yummy. It was delicious. I do recommend the French fries. This spot is perfect when you want some delicious Korean fried chicken and their chicken is big!!! The wings had the perfect crispy texture but they only offer two flavors. I wasn't too big a fan of either. I ordered the Tteokbokki and it was such a disappointment. It lacked authenticity of what Tteokbokki should taste and look like. I believe it was made with hot sauce because that's what it looked and tasted like. The pork buns were delicious. Love this place. I deducted a star because of the "cleanliness" of their fountain machine. It seemed like someone spilled their drink and just walked away from it days ago. It was super sticky. 4 stars for their yummy food and speedy services. Even though it always looks like there's a long line, they get your order out quickly. And it's accurate. The food is always delicious and it always tastes freshly made. Not like the pre-packaged frozen foods that were warmed up in the microwave (trust me, I've been to some places who do this), you can taste the difference. I came to this specific location about 3-4 times and I'm always greeted with a smile and welcomed in. Tables and chairs are usually cleaner than the fountain drink machine. Yet, during those visits the machine is always sticky and has some sort of leftover spills surrounding it. If you look past the fountain drink machine, this place is worth the visit. read more

I would give this place negative stars if i could. I'm a little late on writing this review but who cares. I normally go to the elk grove location. So 4 years ago my buddy bought me $50 worth of gift certificates specifying this location. About a year ago i was in the area and wanted to use them. The cashier told me they weren't valid anymore. No expiration date was on it. This cashier said he recognized the handwriting and it was of a person that no longer works there. I asked to speak to the manager on duty and she told me that the franchise was bought by a new owner and they weren't honoring them anymore and said that the previous owner is now at the elk grove location and that it may be honored there but no longer in the sacramento location.
