Stopped by El Pollo Loco today ,  and had a really great experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I was craving. But what really stood out was the customer service--Oscar went above and beyond. He was super friendly, patient, and genuinely knew everything about the menu. Ordered over the phone, the lady assistant manager Juana helped us, she was very friendly and made sure we had what we needed before we left, food tasted good especially their bbq black beans, we got a family meal that fed 4 and had left overs. If I want a healthier fast food el polo does the job along with being cost effective for the family with a coupon. Big fan of the chicken and their side salad. Came here with my mom for a nice dinner. We haven't been here in years and were really craving El Pollo Loco, and this spot did not disappoint! The chicken was incredibly juicy, and the workers were so kind and welcoming. We get local coupons sent to our house and used one for the 4-piece chicken (leg and thigh) with 2 small sides, 2 salads, 2 churros, salsa, and tortillas, all for only $12! What an unbelievable deal! The restaurant was super clean and felt more like a sit-down restaurant than a fast-food place. This is definitely my favorite El Pollo Loco in the area. It was not a good experience. The macaroni and cheese was runny/soupy. The mashed potatoes were totally dry, even with the gravy. And worst of all, the chicken pieces was beyond small. I grew up in Arcadia and spend many of my childhood here at this location. The food still hits the spot and the salsa is probably the best of any of the locations i been to. The people here are friendly and the interior is nice and clean. Parking lot is not my favorite but generally you shouldn't have any issues finding parking. I often stop at El Pollo Loco wherever I might happen to be for quick, inexpensive and healthy meal. This particular location was somewhat smaller inside than most of the other locations that I have been to, but everything was neat, clean and well maintained. The menu, of course, is the same wherever you go. To El Pollo Loco corporate , Today at approximately 11:45 AM, I witnessed a situation at one of your El Pollo Loco locations that I found very concerning. A customer politely asked the manager when his order would be ready. The manager (a Hispanic male in his 40s wearing a black hairnet) responded by stating that the customer's number had already been called and that someone else had taken the order. However, I personally observed the manager mistakenly place the customer's order with another order. When the customer calmly explained that his number had not been called, the manager became defensive and began blaming the customer, stating it was his fault for not paying attention and being on his phone. Instead of acknowledging the mistake and resolving the issue professionally, the manager escalated the situation and spoke to the customer in an intimidating and disrespectful manner. Additionally, a supervisor who appeared to be in the office near the register came out, assessed the situation, and did not intervene or attempt to de-escalate the conflict. Instead, the situation was ignored while staff continued working through a busy rush. This type of behavior is unacceptable. Customers should never be blamed, harassed, or intimidated due to employee mistakes. I believe both the manager involved and the supervisor who failed to address the situation should be held accountable. If this is how situations are handled during busy hours, it raises concern about how often customers may be mistreated without proper oversight. I hope this matter is taken seriously and addressed appropriately. read more

I just came from fixing my place and came to El pollo Loco in Baldwin and Las Tunas.Servers here are rude, and this is the second time, i passed by to buy some chicken supposedly but staff wants you to make an order first than to clean your hands..That is so disappointing instead of prioritizing cleanliness, you have to order first.. Love this location, the management is amazing and the employees are very friendly and helpful. The only knock I have was they sometimes are skimpy on the queso cheese even is the burrito's main item is queso. They keep the restaurant clean, it has good amount of table inside and outside. Some of the staff also wears gloves. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs and has some indoor seating available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was grabbing my food from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is of a decent size. It's not too big nor too small. It's just right. This parking lot doesn't get full very easily or quickly. Parking spots sizes are perfect too. Food: I ordered the BRC burritos. A classic and favorite burrito of mine. The BRC stands for Beans, Rice, and Cheese which means you get protein, carbs, and calcium. It tastes amazing. Everything has a noticeable flavor and texture so it goes well together. Honestly can't remember when was the last time I had El Pollo before, and can't remember how it was. So recently, I went to pick up a meal for the family. It's located in a small plaza along with a cafe and a tea place. Parking lot isn't very big but off hours, it can be easy to score a spot. I ordered a 12 piece family meal. It comes with ... yup, 12 pieces of leg & thigh, 3 large sides, tortillas and salsa. The girl cashier wasn't the friendliest, and borderline looked impatient. That really didn't help invite customers to want to return, being the first point of contact. The chicken weren't bad. The skin was a bit leathery (see my photo, they even look leathery) but the meat was somewhat tender. Though they advertised flame grilled, we detected no smoky grilled flavor at all. It was more of a well seasoned rotisserie chicken. The legs and thighs were on the smaller side. The rice, mashed potatoes and mac & cheese were all average. Mac & cheese was very cheesy and rich. Rice was bland and the mashed potatoes were likely a powdered flakes mix. The tortillas came piping hot and stayed soft. The various salsas has no heat even though it's listed as spicy. Personally, I've always wondered why businesses don't put someone very friendly and personable on the front line working with customers. The store is located in a small plaza with a parking lot. Easy to find parking. I tried the shrimp taco and crunchy birria taco and the chicken. Pleasantly surprised. The tacos were good. I usually just order their chicken meal so that is the same - still good. There can be lots of people especially if you go during meal time so I have their mobile app and order ahead of time. Ps you can not log in to your app or sigh in . 2nd when you ask for promotion they will tell you nothing they can do. This is a really clean, bright welcoming restaurant. Derive at the counter from asst. manager...so sorry I forgot her name was great. Very nice lady. Food is great. But I'm writing this because I have been using the rewards app for a few years. Get your receipt, scan the bar code, rack up points...easy peasy. But my last visit to El Pollo Loco, I see the barcode is not on the receipt anymore. When I ask about this, they tell me oh, you have to let us know ahead of time. OK, so I just lost out on those points then when I went today, because I've been doing it one way for so long, I totally forgot to tell them about the rewards. So today I lost another $20 worth of rewards points! what the heck El Pollo Loco?? This seems like a way to get people to not accumulate points after i was getting them for so long in a certain way.
