Food: 4/5 Great boil, the mussels are so good. The regular French fries are my go to. Also the fire on the tounge is insanely spicy! That sauce is a good option as a side sauce! Clams, crayfish, potatoes and corn are all a must try! Service: 5/5 The staff is great, very fast, very accommodating. Great staff! Ambiance: 5/5 Very clean, nice restrooms, plenty of space.

The first time I heard about Grab A Crab was at a Yelp event. I didn't get a chance to drop by their booth, but it was lively and crab plushie was cute. I was at Atlantic Times Square in Monterey Park. I saw them there so here I am trying them out. Free parking with no time limits at the square. Arrived here for late dinner. Not too many people at the time. Ambiance was nice with good inside space. Staff was welcoming, cordial, and helpful. Menu offers Combos for 2 or 4, Seafood Lovers' Combo, Build Your Own (BYO) Seafood Boil, appetizers, sides, and drinks. They even have a kid's menu. I love seafood so I opted for Combo for 2 for $49.99. I picked 1 lb of head on shrimp and 1 cluster of snow crab legs (extra cost) for my seafood choices and 3 appetizers (seafood chowder, garlic bread, sweet potato fries). Combo also came with 4 sausages, 2 potatoes, and 1 corn. I got one complimentary bib. Gloves and napkins were in a dispenser at my disposable. I got 1 coin to try for a free plushie that could be traded for a pound of seafood. I kept the coin as a souvenir. Here's my take on the combo... Some head on shrimps with shell were mushy which was a disappointment because shrimp is my favorite seafood. They also varied in size... some smaller than others. I understand it goes by pound, but I would have preferred all my shrimps to be similar sizes. Snow crab legs had empty gaps inside the shell in other words not much meat. I also didn't get a full set of cluster which was a bummer because I paid an extra $4 for it. They gave me other parts to compensate for the last leg. Size of cluster was a bit small. Won't get this upgrade again. Delicious seafood chowder was creamy with perfect seasoning. Amazing garlic bread was toasted and buttered nicely. Sweet potato fries tasted sweet and not oily. As for the sausages, potatoes, and corn, they were fresh and great adds. Seafood boil sauce was rich and buttery, but just a tad salty. I appreciate the robust blend of spices along with garlic and onion were emphasized at every bite though. All in all, combo was okay and experience was fun, but not sure if it was worth the price. I also got one peach lemonade... unfortunately, it had a weird taste to it... won't get again. Will I be back? Maybe... only if their seafood are more meatier.

Probably my best restaurant find this year! I was really blown away by Grab a Crab when it came to flavor, quality and portions. We'd been to Boiling Crab multiple times, but the sauce tends to be overwhelmingly loaded with sodium. After trying Grab a Crab, we loved how it wasn't as salty and the seafood quality was also so much better. We got the Combo for 2, and we thought this was perfect for us when it came to value. For the sides we got Cajun fries, chicharron and garlic bread. Overall, we enjoyed everything we got - I don't think there was a single thing I don't dislike. But I was especially really impressed by the chicharron. Based on a lot of recent reviews they did not serve alcohol for a while, but when we went they had it!

Grab A Crab made celebrating my sister-in-law's birthday truly special. I really appreciated that they offered both reservations and a waitlist, making planning easy. The service was attentive, friendly, and welcoming from start to finish. The seafood was packed with excellent flavor, and everything tasted fresh. The only minor drawback was the garlic noodles, which were a little overcooked. In addition, Elva was awesome! Overall, we had an excellent dining experience and will gladly return. Highly recommend this spot for delicious seafood, celebrations, outstanding hospitality, and memorable meals with family and friends. Five stars without hesitation because everyone left happy, satisfied, smiling, and eager back.

It has been a while since I've been to a Cajun shop. The service was phenomenal. I would give a 5 stars for that. Parking is easy to find, since you have plethora of parking downstairs. This place have plenty of seating, and you are given a coin per person to try out their claw machine. It is pretty cool. The food was pretty good overall, I didn't have any issues, the seasoning was pretty good and standard. The only thing is that I wasn't sure why the rice took forever to come out, it is not like they didn't plan on cooking rice that day? I was hoping to try out some of the rice and sauce towards the beginning, but it is OK, the staff was really accommodating about that, there's not much that they could do about It. The ambience of the restaurant is chill, expected to be a casual spot amenities included gloves at the table and a bib.

First time trying this place and was very impressed! Their combo for 2 was more than enough for the two of us. You get to choose 2 seafoods, corn, sausage, potatoes, and 3 different sides - great value for $50! Will definitely come back because very blown away by the taste and quality of the food

Ordered the combo for 2. Good food, good atmosphere, and friendly service. First time visiting and will definitely be returning.

Ambiance of this place was indeed great! Music wasn't loud, the dodgers were playing and WINNING, there was a MMA match going on as well. This place has it all! Not to mention, ADRIAN with the A++ service with the food recommendations that hit the spot. Oysters were fresh, shrimp were delicious, and the beer was COLD! It's the type of recommendations that make you come back again and again. Not to mention, convenient. You can come here and have dinner before or after watching a movie at AMC theaters. No long waits, no need to wait in line at other Cajun restaurants when Grab A Crab has it all!

Adrian was a fantastic server! It was our first time at this place and I think I found my new favorite seafood boil spot. Adrian handed us a scratcher promotion where we won free sausages, and coins to play the Grab-A-Crab claw machine for more rewards! Additionally Adrian sold us on the $10.99 a year membership where we got 2 pounds of shrimp as a welcome bonus. We ordered snow crab on the side and everything was DELICIOUS!!!! We will definitely be coming back and making the most of our new membership

Dare I say this is WAY better than the almighty boiling crab??? Wait times are WAY less, huge parking garage, plenty of seating, and great service! The inside is large, clean and spacious. The combo for 2 truly is the PERFECT amount, left us stuffed! You get so much for the price & the flavor of the boil itself, delicious. Not too greasy or salty like boiling crab can be sometimes. Grab a crab is most definitely our new go to spot for seafood boil

    Gumbo was DELICIOUS!

Giselle was out waitress today. Seemed like she was solo for the first 20 mins. She was doing well tho, juggling seating, ordering, and food delivery. Cajun chowder was the last to arrive and last to be finished because it was inedible. Sadly we think they likely burnt the pot and served us the portion with the least burnt pieces. Giselle was very kind and replaced it for us right away. We ordered the combo for 2 today and so glad we did! We got to try a lot of different things we probably wouldn't have ordered otherwise. The house sauce is the same as shabang sauce. Cajun garlicky buttery goodness! They are soooo generous with the sauce here! LOVE IT! We got head on shrimp and clams. I think our bag came with more clams than shrimp but I was full at the end of the day so it didn't bother me much. The shrimp is as expected, feels fresh. Head was good, not spoiled. If you eat shrimp head you'll know what I mean. Clams were on the smaller side but I mean I think we're not exactly in clam season right? the combo for 2 comes with 3sides. We got the Cajun chowder, gumbo, and sweet potato fries. OMG the Gumbo was DELICIOUS!!! We got ours with rice. How you eat Gumbo w/o rice??? LOL. It was much sweeter when you eat it after your boil since the boil is on the saltier side. At least today it was. Sweet Potato fries were also perfectly fried! Likely made from frozen but still very good! Cajun chowder (see above) Food and experience was still so good this is probably my go-to spot for seafood boil now! Love that they are so generous with the seasonings. That gumbo was fire! and the prices are competitive. They also have napkins and gloves right at your table! PERFECT!!! My only 2 complaints were: 1. if you knew you burnt the chowder, why serve it? it was inedible. It's cheese. there's no saving the pot once it's burnt. 2. Music was a bit too loud, restaurant wasn't even full and I was having trouble speaking with my partner sitting across from me.

    Deveined Shrimp (Headless) (1 Lb)

Such a good price and great flavor! Not too salty either. Shared the combo for 2 amongst 3 people and was very satisfied. I would totally get the Cajun chowder and fries again! Fried corn was good, but combo already comes with corn so might try something new next time. Also I like that they pre cut the potato so it was easier to share

Short wait time + ample parking. We ordered a pound of shrimp and cajun chowder, both of which were delicious. However, my cousin who I came with, was fat-shamed by the waitress when she was taking our order. Then, when I asked her for salt + pepper and lemons for our seafood boil, she only gave us the salt + pepper which I would assume was an accidental mistake if I didn't see her giving another table salt + pepper AND lemons. For the rest of the night, she proceeded to stop serving our table and checking up on us so we had to ask another server for help with water refills and the check. Incredibly disappointing experience when we were looking forward to eating here ruined by the service. /:

We ordered white rice for 2 people (it was enough for a total of 4 people cuz we had left overs for dinner and lunch the next morning). We also got a 2.4 lb lobster cooked in butter sauce on a bed of noodles (noodles were extra charge). We ordered the walnut shrimp, kung pao chicken, and Mongolian beef. Plates came out relatively close to one a other, which made it nice. I like to have everything in front of me when I eat so I can get a bit of this and a bit of that. The lobster and noodles came out last. Everything was delicious. We loved the lobster and noodles best. So much flavor and the noodles underneath the lobster just soaked up all the buttery, salty, kick of spice flavor. As we dined, many groups came in and the restaurant was bustling. Good thing we came at the right time. We had enough left overs for a total of 4 more meals at home. Would definitely come back for more and would definitely recommend this place.

One of the dish we ordered was the house special sauce crab with market price of ~$26 per pound. We added the noodles for $10. Normal practice the server should come and advise on the size of our crab before making so we can choose how big the crab we want for our dish, because we're paying by pound for the dish anyway... but within 2 minutes of placing the order, a crab dish arrived... HA! Problem 1: The server originally tried to give the crab dish to the table next to us and the folks refused the dish... then the server turned around and placed the dish onto our table for us. CLEARLY they made a mistake and made the wrong dish for next table and decide to not waste food and gave it to us. We asked if that was really our dish and they said yes... what a lie! The kitchen took 2 mins to cook our dish? haha...dumb! Next table was there before us and their house special lobster noodles arrived 10-15 minutes later. First they made a mistake, then tried to lie to cover it up. No one is stupid here. We would have been ok if they were honest about it and ask if we would accept that dish with no complain here. Problem 2: The table next to us got their plates changed multiple times and NOT once did someone came to check on us about changing plates. Problem 3: Our bill came. They charged our crab as 2.5 pounds. What a joke! I'm a crab person. I know my crabs. That tiny crab is probably around 1.5 pounds - 2 pounds max. (Check out the picture to see the small crab shell and the tiny pieces of the crab legs and meat pieces on the edge of the plate). The $10 they charged for noodles was a huge portion, but that is not the same value as 1 pound of crab that they overcharged us for the dish. The house special crab was pretty tasty and we like the fried calamari. The veggie was decent and soup was pretty weak... our bill was $150 and I tipped $20 for the experience. Be grateful and work on improving your practice

The rest of my party ordered the traditional pan roast with assorted seafood, and after tasting it, I wished I had more room in my stomach! While I don't eat oysters, everyone else did and I heard nothing but good things. They even ordered another dozen (for a total of 3 dozen)! Service was fantastic. We were also able to call and get our names down for a reservation, which I'm glad we did since it started getting very crowded with a long wait during dinner time. There's plenty of parking in the lot and below ground parking structure. I would 100% come back here again and recommend it to others!

Because the wait time was too long for that, we decided to try The Dive Oyster Bar -- and man are we sure glad we did. We got a total of five items: a bowl of clam chowder, the soft shell crab appetizer, the roasta, the traditional pan roast with the house speciality protein (with the crab on the side because of my dad's crab allergy), and the jambalaya, which for the last three we ate with medium heat. We shared everything (except for the crab appetizer because, again, crab allergy for dad) and found the food to be delicious, with each entree coming out tasting better than the last. Personally, the roasta was my favorite with the pan roast as a close second. Very flavorful dishes with medium heat being a good level for us (wasn't spicy for our Korean palates). Service was great, our server (unfortunately forgot his name) was attentive and quick with our requests, and although he forgot a side of rice, it was for the best as the food had settled in our stomachs by then and we were content with what we ordered. The restaurant itself is well maintained with ample table space and appropriate lighting, though the music from the evening DJ was a tad bit too loud to hear from across the table. Not a big mood killer for us, though mostly because the good was that good. We're not from this area, so the odds of coming here again are relatively slim -- but should the opportunity present itself, it'll be more than fate this time to take us through these doors once again.

BUT if you can push through the chaos, or come during the weekday, the food is genuinely so good. They do dim sum and banquet style dinners so it's a solid spot for big family celebrations too. The usual suspects for me: har gow, siu mai, rice rolls, sticky rice, pork spare ribs, and stewed tripe They have a dim sum express next door where you can just walk up and grab items to go. Sometimes I call ahead so there's no wait, and a lot less chaos. I love picking it up and enjoying it at the park!

My absolute favorite is the pineapple bun with lava inside -- crispy on the outside, sweet and warm on the inside. So good! They also serve claypot here, which most dim sum restaurants don't have. They bring it over in the pot and pour a generous amount of soy sauce on top. We got the Chinese sausage one, and the rice was fluffy on top and crispy at the bottom -- just the way it should be. Service is attentive, especially considering how busy it gets. There can be a wait though, so come early if you can. The place is huge with lots of tables and even a back room. Parking isn't the best, but if you circle for a bit, you'll get a spot. Pricing is medium -- not too pricey, but dim sum isn't cheap in general, and it's worth it here. Highly recommend!
