    Gumbo was DELICIOUS!
    Ann Q.

Giselle was out waitress today. Seemed like she was solo for the first 20 mins. She was doing well tho, juggling seating, ordering, and food delivery. Cajun chowder was the last to arrive and last to be finished because it was inedible. Sadly we think they likely burnt the pot and served us the portion with the least burnt pieces. Giselle was very kind and replaced it for us right away. We ordered the combo for 2 today and so glad we did! We got to try a lot of different things we probably wouldn't have ordered otherwise. The house sauce is the same as shabang sauce. Cajun garlicky buttery goodness! They are soooo generous with the sauce here! LOVE IT! We got head on shrimp and clams. I think our bag came with more clams than shrimp but I was full at the end of the day so it didn't bother me much. The shrimp is as expected, feels fresh. Head was good, not spoiled. If you eat shrimp head you'll know what I mean. Clams were on the smaller side but I mean I think we're not exactly in clam season right? the combo for 2 comes with 3sides. We got the Cajun chowder, gumbo, and sweet potato fries. OMG the Gumbo was DELICIOUS!!! We got ours with rice. How you eat Gumbo w/o rice??? LOL. It was much sweeter when you eat it after your boil since the boil is on the saltier side. At least today it was. Sweet Potato fries were also perfectly fried! Likely made from frozen but still very good! Cajun chowder (see above) Food and experience was still so good this is probably my go-to spot for seafood boil now! Love that they are so generous with the seasonings. That gumbo was fire! and the prices are competitive. They also have napkins and gloves right at your table! PERFECT!!! My only 2 complaints were: 1. if you knew you burnt the chowder, why serve it? it was inedible. It's cheese. there's no saving the pot once it's burnt. 2. Music was a bit too loud, restaurant wasn't even full and I was having trouble speaking with my partner sitting across from me.

Ordered the combo for 2. Good food, good atmosphere, and friendly service. First time visiting and will definitely be returning.

Short wait time + ample parking. We ordered a pound of shrimp and cajun chowder, both of which were delicious. However, my cousin who I came with, was fat-shamed by the waitress when she was taking our order. Then, when I asked her for salt + pepper and lemons for our seafood boil, she only gave us the salt + pepper which I would assume was an accidental mistake if I didn't see her giving another table salt + pepper AND lemons. For the rest of the night, she proceeded to stop serving our table and checking up on us so we had to ask another server for help with water refills and the check. Incredibly disappointing experience when we were looking forward to eating here ruined by the service. /:

Dare I say this is WAY better than the almighty boiling crab??? Wait times are WAY less, huge parking garage, plenty of seating, and great service! The inside is large, clean and spacious. The combo for 2 truly is the PERFECT amount, left us stuffed! You get so much for the price & the flavor of the boil itself, delicious. Not too greasy or salty like boiling crab can be sometimes. Grab a crab is most definitely our new go to spot for seafood boil

Came on a tuesday and they gave is 4 tokens for a party of 6 for the claw machine. Sadly we didnt win any plush but we were close. Ordered 2 lbs of crawfish, combo for 2 with onion rings and upgraded calamari and popcorn chicken. My friend decided on getting the membership which was 10.99 or 11.99 and you get 2 lbs of seafood, appetizer, and 5% cashback. Her kid wanted the snowcrab so tuesday was the best day because it was 14.99/ cluster. This only happens on your first membership purchase, otherwise it will just be their daily specials. I ordered rice but it was really dry. I didnt like that they brought it out first and since it was busy, it took about 20 minutes for our boil to come out. By that time my rice was kind of cold but since i mixed it with sauce, it was bearable. The crawfish was also frozen. Sauce needs more garlic but i guess to some this amount would be perfect. Limes were cut soo small you had to squeeze 10+ to fill your salt and pepper cup. They give you a clamp and scissors to cut the snow crab so thats a plus. No alcohol yet but i was told they would have it im a month. Will have to check after March or april. Service was great, my water was refilled multiple times.

This location of Grab A Crab is in Monterey Park in the Atlantic Time Square. There is parking in the underground structure. My boyfriend and I have been fans of Grab A Crab since we've been to their location in Hacienda Heights so I was happy to try this new location. For those who have not been to Grab A Crab, they are a cajun boil restaurant. A fun attraction they have are their crane games where each table gets tokens and you can win ingredients for your boil. This location is smaller than their Hacienda Heights location but it seems less busy. They have a Yelp Waitlist you can hop on if you come during a busy time. We came here with my boyfriend's friends, so there was a total of 4 of us. It made sense to get their Combo for 4 ($79.95) which comes with 4 Classic Seafood, 4 Classic Appetizers, 4 pieces of sausages, 2 potatoes, 2 pieces of corn and 2 eggs. We added 2 corns ($1.75/each). For the classic seafood we picked 2 lbs of shrimp, 1 lb of crawfish, and 1lb of snow crab legs, which there was an upgrade for. And for the appetizers we picked the fries, onion rings, gumbo and chicken tenders, which was also an upgrade ($3.50). We actually added another lb of shrimp ($11.99/lb) after we finished the first order. We all enjoyed the food for the most part. Their shrimps were big and juicy. The crawfish were decent for not being in season. We did observe a few things like less garlic in the sauce. As for the sides, the chicken tenders were surprisingly good. The fries and onion rings were average. Too heavy for me to eat too much of it, but good for the boys to fill up. Service at this location seems to be lacking. Missing items like the salt, peppers, limes, sauces for appetizers, multiple follow ups. Keep having to waive them down for things. It's funny that this location is less busy but less on top of things compared to their Hacienda Height location. Great spot for a Cajun boil, especially when you don't want to wait. Their combos used to be a lot better but they've split them into classic and premium items, and a lot of the items we used to get are now premium and requires upgrade. Nevertheless I can see us coming back.

my friend and i stopped by after seeing the resturant on grand opening back a while ago - the interior was decorated nicely and smelled like seafood (as expected haha) - we ordered the combo for two (4.3/5). we picked two shrimps for our classic seafood with mild spicy and the grab-a-crab house sauce. for our classic appetizers, we got fries (regular & cajun) and cajun chowder. we also asked for lemon, salt, and pepper on the side. the whole meal was very filling as it was indeed enough for the both of us. however, it was a bit on the salty side as we continued eating the seafood but it wasn't really noticeable on the saltiness in the beginning. - we got two tokens to use on their crane machine to exchange for free food..however we didnt win anything but it was a fun little thing that this resturant had. - the service was fast and the workers assisted us with our needs overall, this was a nice seafood boil place to try out

I am glad that Atlantic Times Square is somewhat reviving. This is one of the newest establishments that I have been meaning to try. My wife and I shared a combo for 2. We got mussels and shrimp, cajun chowder, sweet potato fries and onion rings as our side. Everything tasted fresh and I did not get explosive diarrhea afterwards unlike at boiling crab. Service was great. The only negative is that they did not have draft beer although it was on the menu.

Food is good . . Even though it has been loosing its touch . Came here about a week and half ago & it didn't hit like usual , we always ask for it slightly undercook to avoid the mushy & it was so mushy . My girl loved her but I told her I didn't hit for me . The wings are not the same for when we first grabbed them . The second time was different & the 3rd time they were very disappointing . I have a picture when we first ordered the wings and they look so tasty and appetizing. This last time they looked as if they were old wings . . . We also tried to dine in prior to the time when the wings were terrible & we arrived to the front door at 9:25 they told us . We can't dine in no more . So we somewhat understood . And today we arrived at 9:17and we were denied tables again due to slow business. When we were told last table sit down is 9:30 Very disappointed we drive 35 min to get here knowing we would make it on time . But nope . They also denied dine in service to another couple . I get it times can be slow . But you had 2 customers ready to spend . Sucks that this was our go to , cus it might not be anymore . So much for the new business location to thrive . ( hangry ) mind you this may be very irrelevant but b.s aside I'm on 5 days water only fasting . I kid you not I was going here just to break my fast and eat delicious . Maybe next time I guess . Even though I work from 7 am to 10 pm and I be getting out of work just to come here and make it on time . Lolol . So sad I had to come express myself here

We randomly discovered this place and honestly can't believe how good the deals are. Everything was already reasonably priced, but the specials took it to another level. They normally have a combo deal for two people (around $46) that includes 2 pounds of seafood (shrimp, clams, etc.), sausage, potatoes, corn, two sides, and a fried item. We were planning to do the 2-lb shrimp combo, but when we came in on a Tuesday evening, they had even better offers. We got 5% cash back on the entire bill and snow crab legs for $14.99 per pound, which is an incredible deal. On top of that, we signed up for their membership ($10.99/year), and it immediately paid for itself we got 2 pounds of shrimp for free (1 lb for signing up + 300 bonus points). Total no-brainer. The shrimp quality was great, huge size shrimps and fresh.. The sauce was really good as well. Minor note: everything is served in a large cylinder-style plate, so the sauce pools at the bottom and you have to dig a bit to get it (similar to a bag at Boiling Crab). Not a dealbreaker, just something to note. Huge shoutout to our server Ahrian!! incredibly kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and gave great recommendations. Service alone made the experience even better. The ambience was fantastic: vibrant colors, fun wall decor, lots of TVs, and a lively atmosphere. When we walked in, they even gave us two free coins for the claw machine, which was such a cute touch. If you win, you get a free meal, which is such a fun incentive. One important note: while the food is amazing, this is not a place I'd consider safe for toddlers. We have two-year-old twins and came for date night (without them), and after seeing the setup, we wouldn't bring them here at this age. Also, if you're someone who sucks the sauce off shrimp heads like I do...be careful. I ended up poking the inside of my mouth because the shells were very sharp and bled a little. Overall, we had an amazing experience! food, service, deals, and atmosphere were all on point. We're already members now and will 100% be coming back

What a wonderful experience! Grab A Crab in Atlantic Times Square across from the Marriott was great taste for great value. It was empty at open at 12 on a Saturday. To start, each table gets two tokens to try out the claw machine for a fun start to the dining experience. We ordered the Combo for 2 which includes 2 classic seafoods, 3 classic apps, 4 sausages, 2 potatoes, and 1 corn, and added a pound more of shrimp for our party of three for about $70. There wasn't enough sauce originally, but they kindly provided us more at no cost- and that sauce is good! It's flavorful, thick, and garlicky. The shrimp is the star of the show, and the mussels were nice to try but not worth a repeat. The lemon pepper and Cajun fries were both good options as well.

Everything here was super tasty! We got the sauce that was a combination of all three sauces, and I highly recommend. The combo pots were also very good value. Service was quick and efficient. The funnest part of the experience was that each table gets two coins to play their crane machine. You can keep the plushy if you're able to grab it, or you can exchange it for free items on the menu. Super fun and great value, tasty food. Highly recommend!

Turns out Yelp was having a moment of brilliance. We rolled in with a full-on clan of 14 hungry young adults, and somehow everyone left happy, full, and already talking about what they'd order next time. Our table was stacked with garlic string beans, walnutshrimp, special fried rice, French beef and Lobster with pan-fried noodles. The shrimp was a crowd favorite, the noodles were loaded with flavor, and even the string beans earned plenty of compliments. My only tiny critique is that for me the walnut shrimp was a bit more breaded than I personally like, but that's a minor speed bump in an otherwise fantastic meal. Pro tip: ask them to bring the rice out first. The dishes are packed with bold, rich flavors, and having a bowl of rice ready lets you soak up every last delicious bite without feeling like you've gone ten rounds with a sodium ninja. The service was outstanding too; our servers teamed up and handled our group of 14 like pros, stayed attentive throughout the night, and never missed a beat. We separated the youngins and OGs in two close tables. We arrived about 3 hours before their 11 p.m. closing time on a busy Saturday, yet nobody made us feel rushed. It took 45 min to be seated and we stayed to closing. Er had so much fun in this VIP experience. The restaurant itself is spacious, tucked into a shopping center with plenty of parking, making it an easy choice for groups big or small. If Kim Tar can keep 14 people fed, smiling, and agreeing on dinner, that's practically a miracle. I'll definitely be back for another feast. Next time I'll have the 3 pound lobster just for me!

This place does a great job of accommodating our large party. The food is delicious! Lots of options for everyone's preferences. They have super quick and friendly service. These are some of our favorite dishes: Basil clams: fresh clams and fresh fragrant basil make this my mother in laws favorite. Deep fried tofu: such a comforting dish. Crunchy on the outside, silky tofu on the inside, plus a delicious dipping sauce. This is my favorite. Salt and pepper pork: savory and crunchy pork with tons of flavor. My nephews love this and we need to order multiple each time. Steamed chicken: simple but well made. The chicken is tender and incredibly juicy. My husband orders this each time. Fried calamari: crunchy yet very tender squid. The seasoning is peppery. Fried sole fish: super crunchy that we enjoy eating the fins. The inside is tender and juicy. And it has a good dipping sauce too. Lobster on a bed of noodles: great for garlic lovers. Love how fresh the Lobster is and the noodles are so fulfilling. Tip: pay by cash to avoid the credit card fees. Overall the prices are very competitive. It's one of the cheaper seafood restaurants while tasting phenomenal! Always great service, plenty of parking, and no wait.

First, parking was so difficult!! So many cars crammed close to each other and the restaurant wasn't even full, but we parked in the street nearby. The place had plenty of seating when we arrived, spacious tables that fit our group of 16. We had a large party and split into two tables, each table had peanuts and tea, we also ordered our own bit with the same serve at the same time. We ordered our usual dishes such as corn soup, honey walnut shrimp, salt and pepper squid, sal and pepper pork chops, filet beef dish, hainan chicken and many more. The service seemed slow, the bad part is that our other table got all their dishes while we had none. It took a while before our first dish arrived which was honey walnut shrimp, it was good, a bit soggy but flavorful. We asked for rice and started eating, once most of the shrimp was gone the rest of the dishes came. They were delicious, they tasted great and had good portions. The pork chop was great fresh but soon started to get tough as it cooled. The fried squid had parts that were very seasoned and some bland. My sister in law ordered a seafood tofu dish that was the best one but we ate everything before I took a photo. We also shared dishes across the tables to try out our orders. I tried the fried crab but it had more garlic than crab! The restroom was the sad part, there was no toilet paper, and no paper towels. The women's restroom door was propped wide open as well. I had to call my sister to bring in napkins for me... Overall a great meal, we may come back if the occasion allows.

This time, we ordered the Shrimp with Cashew Nuts and the Beef with Chinese Broccoli. The Shrimp with Cashew Nuts was absolutely delicious, but unfortunately, the Beef with Chinese Broccoli was extremely salty. After just one bite, I honestly couldn't eat any more of it. I have always liked this restaurant and have been coming here frequently over the years. I've enjoyed their lobster several times with my family, and almost every dish I've tried here has been delicious. That's why I was especially disappointed with the Beef with Chinese Broccoli this time, as it was far too salty. Despite that, I still think this is a great place for lunch. Their lunch specials are reasonably priced, the service is always good, and the portions of rice are very generous. One thing I especially appreciate is the complimentary orange slices they serve to every customer after the meal. The oranges are always fresh and sweet, making a nice ending to lunch. One other thing I noticed during this visit was that the restroom now has a new premium hand soap. I don't remember seeing it before, and it was a nice little upgrade that added a touch of luxury hand soap to the overall experience. Overall, I still enjoy coming here and will definitely be back. Hopefully, the kitchen can be a little more careful with the seasoning next time .

We ordered French style beef, house special fried chow mein, honey walnut shrimp and steamed rice. First of all, the serving portions were very generous. All came in very large plates. The beef was saucy, tender and flavorful. In other restaurants, they add mushrooms to fill the plate. Here, the plate is full of just large chunks of beef. The shrimp in the honey walnut dish were large prawns. They were moist, succulent and tender. It had a rich flavor because of the mayo. The chow mein was full of chicken, shrimp, squid and octopus. It was perfectly crispy and saucy at the same time. We ate to our heart's content and ended up taking home plenty of leftovers enough for another meal. Our total bill was a little over $108 with tip. We will definitely be back. Parking is valet only and cost is $5.

Everything was good and nothing missed the mark, except the lobster had a ridiculous amount of green onions and they skimped on the noodles. I felt that the noodles were also overcooked and lack flavor of their own. For a Chinese restaurant, there was pretty quick service. Waiters frequent the table to collect dirty dishes and refill waters

Rolling cart service... with friendly efficiency from the women pushing the carts...wide variety available...many same items with choices of meat....shrimp, beef, bbq pork, chicken fillings......things meant to be hot were hot, fried things were crunchy and not greasy.. Things that were delicious: The pineapple bun with the custard filling. 5/5 The beefball, well formed, with the nicest visible chunks of water chestnuts and strong cilantro flavor...usually this meat dish has a hint of orange rind, which I don't like...so I was happy the meatball was more cilantro forward. 5/5 The long rice noodle with beef...also we had the the same with bbq pork were delish. 5/5 for all three...as we also had the shrimp one, my party ate it all up first. I didn't eat the chicken feet, but it was enjoyed by all. The siu mai were large and made with shrimp, which I can't eat, but our party of 6 enjoyed. The platterful of soy chicken was enjoyed by all, just beware the chicken head will be included if you are squeamish. The soy chicken feet, also seemed to please. No one rushed us out even though the dim sum service was over by 3 pm. We had a leisurely meal and waiters made sure to come by and refill our tea kettles. I really enjoyed Capital Seafood today. About 10 years ago, I had a bad experience with takeout roasted duck, so I avoided coming back, but things change for the better.....food was great...and clearly a lot of diners packed thr place and were smiling and laughing as they dined.... I even enjoyed watching the staff change the dining room to accommodate a large banquet later this evening, which included the assembly of a large stage/dais. Very interesting how the waiters transformed the dining room to accommodate the needs of the banquet to come. Well done staff!!

02/28/26 Saturday…read more Arrived at 11 AM right when they opened. Party of 10 with two babies. They were able to provide high chairs. We ordered A LOT so I'll just touch upon some dishes: -Our favorite item was the egg tart but maybe because it came straight out of the oven so it was piping hot. The crust was super flaky, and custard was velvety smooth and not too sweet. We were so tempted to get seconds but we were too full. -The bean curd wrapped with shrimp and pork was on point as well. -The chicken feet didn't really meet expectations. Normally I like it, but I wasn't impressed by this one. -the ham sui gok was good but I feel like it could've used more filling -fried rice had big juicy shrimp but rice was on the saltier side -Inconsistent crystal wrapper textures across all the different crystal skin dumplings. Some mushy, which I don't like. Some chewy, which I do like. The fillings were delicious though. Cart workers are a little pushy when it came to dishes they wanted to get rid of. TIP: Best to get stuff when it's hot and hasn't been sitting in the cart. Can accommodate large groups as it is Chinese banquet style seating with large round rotating tables. Parking is plentiful but it fills up quick surprisingly.

It was great to go with friends who speak Cantonese because mine is so rusty, I can only understand but not speak these days. I was so hungry I didn't even let my phone eat 1st like the yelped I am, but only remembered to take a photo after we had eaten at least half our plates! Having grown up with NYC and SF dim sum, NBC is one of the few Los Angeles area places that has the selection and flavors of my childhood. Some favorites were the har gow, taro puffs, and tripe. We got the roast duck but it wasn't very meaty or flavorful. We got the congee which was ok, but lacked any definite personality. The chewy fried dumplings were more dough than filling. The siu mai and veggie dumplings were both solid. I didn't try the bitter melon or turnip cakes because I don't like the taste of either, but I was happy to see them available. We got a claypot rice dish with spare ribs and Chinese sausage which was good but the rice was not crispy on the bottom. I saw they had chicken feet, which I usually love but they didn't look appetizing enough to order. Would definitely go back for other dishes and with more people so we could sample more selections.
