Everyone else gave her 5 stars, and ya know what? They were right! First timer here- I usually don't pamper myself, but I felt like I needed a facial after all the mask wearing I've been doing. I google searched places, did some research, saw Kristins amazing reviews and I booked her. I opted for the Gentleman's Retreat Facial. Everything went well, she communicated everything she was doing every step of the way, and was very concerned for my well being during the treatment. The reason being my face was a mess for my first time. So, she had to do some somewhat unpleasant things to it to make she she got in deep where all the issues were. She apologized for the torture, and said we can take breathers anytime. But I'm a man, so I said keep going and only cried a little (joke!) But as I told her another Aesthetician told me, "beauty is pain." =D We had a nice laugh about that. The bonus was the neck and shoulder massage every step of the way while my face had on a different treatment mask. She sold me on the combo facial and 60 minute massage next time. Kristin knows her trade very well. And she is passionate about it too- she even did a little touch up on my eyebrows (I got them threaded like 3 weeks ago). They were holding up, but she NEEDED to fix a few stragglers separating from the herd. She gave me facial upkeep tips, and was very informative all around. She gave me so much information that she almost forgot to charge me when she opened the door to let me leave! I had to ask her where to pay. That's how much you know someone loves their craft. The day before my exam I made an appointment to get a massage. Basically, to relieve any tension. Kristin is very accommodating, as far as scheduling goes. When I arrived, I was greeted by a nice receptionist, who took me to the back waiting area. It was dark but very calm, zen like waiting area. There was this hot cocoa machine where you can add froth your cocoa, but the machine makes this loud sound when the button is pressed. I tried it and got scared because of the loudness but turned it off as quickly as I turned it on. There were snacks too. One of the best waiting room at a spa/salon I have encountered. When Kristin arrived, she was very friendly. We got right to the massage. I asked for deep-tissue, and that is what I got. The next day, I was very sore, which means that Kristin did a great job massaging my tensed body. The only thing is that a bottle of water wasn't offered to me, in which typically, it is at other places that I have been. Kristin also does facial and wax as well. I saw Kristin for a facial. She did a great job, made me feel comfortable, explained everything she was doing and gave me all the time I needed even though we started a bit late. She also let me know what to expect with my face afterwards so there'll be no surprises. She was very personable and her room was warm and inviting. I went to Kristin for a back facial. My back was really broken out from all of the hormones after having a baby. The back facial was so relaxing. She uses steam to open up the pores and does a thorough extraction. She also gives a wonderful neck and foot massage during the hour visit. I left feeling very relaxed. My fiance' and I moved to Henderson 2 months ago from Hawaii. Leaving the humid, tropical, relaxing climate of the island left my skin dry, broken out and my nerves a little on end. I desperately needed some R&R so he bought me a gift certificate for a facial and massage with Kristin. And I'm SO GLAD he did! After walking into the brightly florescent lit salon I was a little nervous that this might not be the relaxing environment I was looking for...The receptionist walked me to the back where the Spa was located. I opened the door and my senses were immediately transcended : soft amber lighting, candles burning, beautiful lavender smells,spring water, bowls of fruit, tea, calming sounds of the ocean...JACKPOT!! From the beginning Kristin was a sweetheart! She was attentive, nurturing, informative and genuine. She diagnosed my skins problems and then formulated a facial treatment just for me. The facial was fantastic and my skin feels great. She also massaged my face, neck and shoulders. In comparison, my previous facials in Hawaii seem like professional "face wash". Kristin's facials are exactly how a facial should be. I've had more expensive facials but this one trumps them all on QUALITY and COST. At this point I'm sooo relaxed and its time for the full body massage! An hour of pure bliss! I loved the oils she used to massage me...my skin feels sooo soft like a baby's butt lol. When I left I felt like I was floating, completely relaxed in a dream like state. It was very evident that making others feel good is Kristin's passion and she is VERY GOOD at it. Last week was so busy at work. I needed a break. I kept saying to my friends on Facebook and Twitter , " I need a massage". I always say this and have never had a professional massage in my life! I got a tip from a friend of mine that I should look here on Yelp to find a good place near by. I want to thank all my fellow Yelpers who posted great reviews for Kristin Malone Spa Therapy! You guys know your stuff! I booked online on Friday afternoon. It was easy. I followed the link posted here on Yelp and went right to her website. I booked quickly and easily. I was sent a reminder email and made sure to put it on my Google Calendar to remind me a lil bit before hand on Sat. Morning so I could wake up on time. The location is right across the way from where I live so it already gets a star for that. When you walk in, everything is calm and clean. The lady at the front desk was very nice and professional. She had me fill out a short form asking me what kind of stress i was having and what kind of massage I like. There was even a box to tick if it was my first massage. I made sure to tick that box. I was taken to the back of the full- service salon ( hair, nails ect..) and there was Kristin. She was very pleasant to meet. She was up-beat, but not overboard and very informative. She explained what would happen and left the room for me to undress. It was so nice and warm in the room. There were a good amount of mood -setting candles light, and soft music playing. The massage table was amazingly comfortable too. I got under the blanket and I could have fallen asleep. Kristen came in and explained the procedure for my Swedish massage. She also let me know that I could ask for more or less pressure at any time. She let me know she's been doing this for 13 years. Oh boy, was she awesome! Her hands were like a blessing to my tense muscles. Soon i was in the zone. It was amazing and I loved it so much! When my hour was over, I reluctantly got dressed and paid my fee. I booked again for a future appointment and walked out feeling fabulous. I recommend coming here to anyone that lives in the area . I had passed this little gem dozens of times since it's been at the shopping center by my house. Its right across from Target next door to Subway, but you would never know, because it's very quiet inside. read more

This definitely wasn't the most relaxing facial I've had, but Kristin was super nice and tried to create as relaxing an environment as possible in the midst of a busy salon. Surprisingly you don't hear a ton of noise from the salon itself. The massage portion of the facial was awesome, but the facial itself didn't exactly leave my skin glowing and I'm dismayed to note that I have still have hyperpigmented areas weeks later from the extractions (which were pretty painful). Can't say I'd be back, but its a reasonably priced facial with a super nice estetician. read more

Kristen is amazing! Best facial I've ever had! I go to Kristen once a month for my facials. I have to say, my skin has significantly been improving and I'm getting fewer breakouts then before. I love how Kristin takes the time find out exactly what results I'm looking for, and then customizes a facial that is best for my skin type. Kristin is a wonderful massage therapist and Esthetician! I have had a few services from Kristin and they have all been excellent. Not only is she friendly and welcoming, it is obvious that she puts a lot of pride in her work and loves what she does. The salon she is in is very clean and has a great ambience. The second you walk into her room you immediately feel like you are about to be pampered. I have had many massages by many different massage therapists and I can honestly say that Kristin gives one of the best massages I've ever had. I LOVE Kristin's spa! I agree with Jennifer L. The bright florescent lights threw me off at first, but when you finally do get to her actually spa, it becomes exactly what you're looking for. It's cozy, clean, dim lighting, smells good, candles are lit and it's the perfect atmosphere for you to release your stress and tension. Kristin is super sweet and seems genuinely concerned about your experience with her. She made every effort to make sure I was comfortable with the temperature in the room because I was going to get a Seaweed Body Wrap. We both had bad experiences with body wraps before. The main problem is your body gets cold as the product gets applied. She was well aware of this so she had raised the heat in the room. The process started off with her dry brushing. It was relaxing and almost like a mild massage. Then she applied the seaweed mask. To my pleasant surprise, that was warm as well. After that I was wrapped in a Mylar blanket and then a heating blanket was placed on top of that for added warmth. It was nice being in a cocoon full of seaweed and heat. While the product was doing its magic on my skin, Kristin gave me an amazing neck and scalp massage. It made me wonder how her full massages are like. After that I was able to take a shower to rinse the product off thoroughly. The grande finale was the ultra hydrating lotion which was also applied warm. She added the scent of lavender and coconut to it. Great aromatherapy! I loved it and my whole experience. I would definitely see Kristin again! read more

This place is great! Kristen is very good at examining your specific skin needs before she starts your facial. I had the acne purifying facial with an extraction and it was amazing. I hadn't had an extraction in about a year so I had some deep filled pores and active breakouts. I had a cluster of 4-5 pimples near my mouth and she made sure to get all the gunk out and I can see/feel a huge improvement after only 1 day. My skin was pretty red and sensitive for a few hours (obviously) but I woke up the next morning and it was significantly smoother and the redness looked 90% better. Booked a 90 minute massage with Kristen, shes located in the Body Spa complex, theres plenty of parking and the treatment room was clean and comfortable. After a few questions she got started. The massage was great, she's friendly and while there was conversation with her it wasn't too much , which is fine with me as I like to enjoy my massage. I can't even leave the parking lot without writing something. I have gotten many massages in my life. My husband bought me a Groupon and said he read reviews across the board and Kristen was the best. I was a tad annoyed because I had to drive a half hour and wondered why he picked something so far from where we live. Wow. After applying the mud to my spine, I laid on my back and as soon as she started on my hands and arms I was instantly in a trance. I've had to speak up many times in the past about pressure or whatever else. She managed to have the perfect touch during my whole massage. She hit all the right points in my feet and I could literally, for the first time in my life, feel my body melt like butter from her touch. I am a stomach sleeper and noted I needed extra care in my upper back and neck. Blown away. I've never encountered the techniques she used, but laying on my back while she went to work on my upper back and shoulders was by far the most heavenly thing to occur in my 30 years of life. I don't even care about the drive...I just found my forever massage in Kristen. Already anxiously awaiting getting home so I can schedule my husband with her. LOVE LOVE LOVE Kristin! I discovered Kristin via a Groupon deal that she had for $35 for either a facial or a massage so I decided to give it a try. She is so amazing with her facials which are customized to your skin type and really leave you feeling all nice, clean and smooth and she takes so much time massaging all the products in your face for maximum results. I have really weird sensitive skin that does get congested if I don't get a facial every couple of months or so and with Kristin my skin looks amazing and fresh. The facial always include a neck and shoulder massage which she really does take her time on. I've also had a full massage with Kristin and I feel so light and relaxed after that. She has a great package on her website for a massage and a facial which does end up saving you a little money. I loved Kristin so much that I bought my mom a massage and facial package too and even she's hooked. Her appointments do go fast but usually scheduling a week or so ahead has never been a problem for me sometimes if you keep checking you might find an appointment for sooner too. I will never let anyone else touch my face ever again. Kristin has my business for as long as I live in this city. read more
