I found Kristina through Instagram when looking for a hair and makeup artist for my elopement and I'm sooo happy I found her and that she was available! I found Kristina on instagram because she did one of Bling Empire's reality star - Kelly's makeup - and it looked great. Kristina was really flexible, communicative, and professional. I had a trial scheduled and she agreed to reschedule it (basically last minute) when my photographer cancelled our engagement photos due to car trouble in southern california (unable to get to nor cal by the date we scheduled). She easily rescheduled it without giving me any kind of hassle - which is amazing. We rescheduled the trial so I could have incredible hair and makeup done for those photos. We needed 2 MUAs for my wedding and she brought someone who did a really good job/following Kristina's soft glam style. My bridesmaids were all soft glam, and their makeup is the best I've seen in their lives. It's been a week since my wedding and I've now had time to collect my thoughts. Kristina is a very lovely person and easy to chat with. She was also patient with answering my questions, but the reason for my two star rating is because my makeup and hair completion time went over. It was suppose to be 12:30pm, but Kristina did not finish until past 1:30pm which stressed me out. My ceremony was at 2pm. If it was only around 15 minutes over, I would have been okay, but it was one hour over. Because of this, photos with my mom and bridesmaids were rushed and cut short. I didn't have extra time to relax or to hang out with my bridesmaids as I anticipated. I wanted to leave the house at 1:45pm to arrive at the ceremony site early but that did not happen. Time is so valuable on a wedding day, so looking back, this was a big regret of mine. Seriously, book Kristina for your wedding, you won't regret it. Kristina is great at what she does and is also a totally genuine person and sweetheart. When I reached out to Kristina initially for the makeup + hair trial, she was responsive and super flexible on scheduling. She even came to my house to do the trial. She made me feel comfortable the whole time, and would check at each juncture to make sure that the look is what I was going for. I wanted the look to be bronze-y and classic, and wanted individual lashes so that I looked a bit more natural (not to mention my eyes would be more comfortable), and she completely nailed the look. On the day of the wedding, she arrived early with her crew for a 7am start time, started the first girls within 10 minutes of setting up, made some adjustment to my look based on the trial, and though we did run a little behind schedule on makeup and hair (I did have 7 bridesmaids, after all), she was able to finish me up without making me feel rushed. Kristina Curtis was the hair stylist that was chosen to do my bridal hair trail and bridal hair the day of my wedding on August 20, 2016. I couldn't be any happier of how things worked out with her! My wedding hair trial was the day of my bridal shower and as most bridal showers start early in the day, Kristina was willing to meet at my house and do my hair as early as 7:00 a.m. The day of my bridal shower was not the best day for her to come out but she was willing to make things work. I first wanted my hair down for the wedding so she did it exactly how I told her and also did a couple of different up-do hairstyles as well. She probably did about 4 to 5 different type of hair styles for me on the trial to see what I liked best. I was afraid to have an up-do for the wedding because I didn't want my hair to fall out, but Kristina reassured me that she will make it tight so that it will not fall out throughout the night.
