This salon really meets your expectations. I've always had terrible experiences with salons not really understanding what I'm asking for but Eva truly delivered!! She took her time to hear me out, asked exactly what I wanted and guided me through a haircut that would best fit me and I'm so happy with the results. She has so much talent when it comes to cutting hair. She started off by giving me such a comfortable hair wash, then starting cutting, then styling and I'm SO HAPPY with the results. I did give myself a quarantine cut but my hair needed to be evened out, touched up with color and layered. I got Esmerelda, go to her! I went to this salon last month to add highlights. I repeatedly asked Esme to place the highlights as close to my roots as possible and to distribute them evenly all over. While Esme was so nice and my hair is healthy and the overall job was fine, it wasn't what I requested. My roots are very visible, and it looks like I haven't had my hair done in months. All my ladies on here know how depressingly hard it can be to find a good stylist. The kind that listen to what you want, talk you through your options, and ultimately, actually give you the look you want. Sooki does all that and more! I was so overwhelmed by the results. I could have cried. I have always wanted to color my hair and had done so only once before with a salon in Davis, CA. It was not the best experience for me as I had asked for a light brown and was left with very burgundy hair and the salon justified it by stating chocolates have a lot of red tones which is great information. Only I am not a stylist and it would be helpful for them to have explained why that would yield different results the way Sooki explained! What really gets me is that Sooki NAILED the color I had always wanted. I was utterly shocked at how perfectly she got it down! And the blending job she did to my baby lights are orgasmic! She took her time explaining options and explained to me that the picture I brought it had a lot of blonde even if I couldn't tell and that she felt this may be a dramatic change for someone whose only colored their hair once. She suggested I do something only a few shades away from the color I had and I am ridiculously happy I listened to her! She was so right! I can't speak to my happiness about the quality of her work enough. I got my hair done Wednesday and I still feel elated when I see it and each time I style it, I fall in love more and more. Sooki informed me of how I should care for my hair which was to use a toner after the color starts to brighten up which she warned me would happen. She also suggested a moisturizing shampoo such as Joicoco which they sell at the salon. I thought I would price check before purchasing but I likely will come back and get here lol. Sooki is a very busy stylist but if you can book her, you should not hesitate! I filled a cancelled 9am appt at 11pm and it's probably the best decision I have made all year. Parking is ample. It is in the same shopping center as Crossfit Alameda. They have no sign on the large store front sign but just look for the Cross Fit sign and its in there. Lastly, know this is a worthy investment. Getting the right coloring done cost money but for good reason. There are several stylist willing to charge you less for sub par hair. Sock's rates start at $150 depending on length and can add up but its not something you will regret because she does it right. And if you don't like it she'll do it again. I doubt it happened. Her work is perfection and you can see it as she works that she is focus on doing a good job. read more

They always make you feel welcome and almost like family. The salon is adorable, especially with their new art work, furniture and lighting. It's always clean and spotless, even with the amount of clients they have in and out of there all day long. I regularly get a scalp treatment, haircut, style and updo. First of all very nice environment Shae was very sweet. This post is very late review.. However, I asked for an high ombré balayage and long layer cut. I had a previous ombré balayage done by someone else but it outgrew so Since my usual hair stylist was on maternity leave. I saw shae's instagram and loved her work but when I got my hair done it was not what I expected. My balayage wasn't very well blended some pieces are nice and blended and others are not... the color just look straight. My cut was all choppy it wasn't blended In either. I was very disappointed. I've been feeling so ugly since then. After spending so much money on this.. Today I finally fixed my hair cut with someone else and I have also made an appointment to blend in and add pieces where pieces need to be added and blended. I'm not trying to make anyone look bad. Esmeralda is a miracle worker. Who knew a few highlights or baby lights I think she called them would make me look AND feel 20 years younger!!! For 30+ years I've colored my hair 1 color, Brown!! I went to Esmeralda for a consult color correction and low and behold she talked me into baby lights. I am not the ambitious type but she thoughtfully explained the process and kept me at ease. I couldn't be happier with the results and I'm so grateful for her to take the necessary time to do it right. I got an appointment within a few days which was great but there was also a miscommunication that caused my stylist to be in a time crunch. I wanted black and blue ombre and I got exactly that. I am super happy with the way it turned out and also got 8 inches taken off which is exactly what I wanted. 2 cons in my opinion ... 1: it's so expensive! I payed about half my paycheck (one weeks worth of pay). 2: unfortunately due to the time crunch, the clean up was sloppy. My hair was styled and covered most of it so I didn't see it till I came home but my face and ears are still stained. I understand of course that the dye job I got gets super messy but for the price I payed I guess I expected to walk out of there all cleaned up. Edit: I wanted to add this: Even though there was a miscommunication, my stylist didn't tell me she couldn't do it. She actually asked another stylist for help to get it done either way! My stylist was able to fix my awful black box dye mixed with my own hair color and some red in there as well (don't ask lol) I went in thinking I might not be able to get blue yet she managed to do it. I had an appointment with Shae for Balayage I showed her a few photos of how I wanted my hair she worked on my hair previously in the past so I felt like I could trust her. Unfortunately my hair didn't come out like how I wanted it to she tried correcting it but couldn't get right. She even told me she should of charged me more for trying to correct it even though it was her mistake. I paid over $325.00 just to be unhappy with the results and she wouldn't fix it to what I asked for I tried seeing what could be done & she told me she felt like we weren't a good fit and continued to say I wasn't a client she sees often and other excuses therefore she felt it was ok this is very unprofessional of her. read more

Today was my first and last dreadful experience at studio 34, thanks the stylist there named Saira. I went in for a simple root touchup and a hair trim. Unfortunately, what I left with was much different. I literally asked for 2 inches off and came in on a day that I had a lot of work to catch up on. So, I wasn't really paying attention like I normally would at a new appointment. When I looked up at the mirror, I was completely appalled. I couldn't believe that a stylist who claims to be one of the most experienced at the salon butchered my hair in such a ridiculous fashion. I walked out with nearly a bob and unwanted bangs. An utter disappointment, to say the least. I am sincerely shocked by the poor service this salon and specifically, Saira. Not only will I not be coming back but I will advise everyone to avoid these specific stylist and salon. I recommend everyone follow suit. read more

Oh my gosh. First of all: TY JACKY!! My hair was pretty botched but I didnt really realize it until I got it beautifully revived at Studio 34. I jump from salon to salon all over the bay area, I guess because I haven't really found one that made me wanna stay. They might've changed the game on this one!! Studio 34 is a tiny little hair salon that is pretty plain on the inside, and personally I found it odd that they were playing music from a stereo at the front desk. BUT I later realized its plain because they are fairly new, and they dont need much music because the hair stylists talk to each other...much like one of those friendly laid back barbershops that you see in movies lol. I absolutely loved it. That being said, this place is NOT pretentious at all. Very real, very chill, good people. Now on to the hair. Jacky spent a very long time with me, she even went over her time slot that she had with me. I was getting a little antsy but it was so worth it because she fixed every little thing I wanted fixed. And thats much better than someone rushing on your hair and ending up with chunks of color (personal experience). I wanted my grown out root color fixed to match my real root color, I wanted to raise my balayage higher, and I wanted the color fixed. She probably fixed so much more than I even know. I basically just showed her a picture and said "do what you think would look good" and holy crap she did the damn thing. I LOVED that she noticed personal things about my hair, like how I have an ash tone naturally, so I need to make sure I get more ashy tones in my balayage instead of orangey like I have been getting. I loved that! Anyway, long story short, I really liked Jacky and her hair magic. This will be the first salon that I will actually come back to. :) read more

I hadn't had a chance to Write a review so here it finally is to Studio 34 the originals that brought up Precision cutz have moved to Studio 34 off of blossom hill in south San Jose I will gladly drive to the other side of San Jose to get my hair done here I have been going to Nicol Ramirez for a good couple years now and I can truly say I absolutely love how she leaves my hair when I leave with her take in mind I have hair like a lion lol and it's super thick and long she always leaves me feeling an looking amazing. So if you are looking for a hair stylist I definitely recommend heading to Studio 34 amazing staff and talented hair stylists all around. . Last but not least to the lady that left a negative comment on Nicol a couple days ago ?
