Came in here with a large group of high school students for lunch midweek. Even though there were19 of us, we were all seated together, the food was delicious, and the service was completely fast and courteous. The plates were piled high with food, and even though we weren't all served at exactly the same time, we did still get to eat together. We ordered everything from Breakfast to Dinner to Dessert items, and everyone loved it all. I was amazed and how wonderful the experience was from start to finish since typically large groups are given the shaft. Definitely worth the stop! I can't wait until the next time I'm driving through town to stop and enjoy. read more

We had two New York steak and scampi dinners. One with fries and the other with Mashed Potatoes. These were some five star worthy meals. The shrimp were big, covered in a delicious garlic butter dip. The steak was perfectly sized and flavorful. The garlic bread was delicious. The fries were perfectly seasoned and well portioned. You get alot of good food for the price. Last meal I had was the Western Burger and it was great! Just enough bbq sauce to taste and not overwhelm the burger. The bacon is crisp and patty was just right. The buns was firm and toasted so you dont get nasty soggy buns. Fries are an addition and everything together packs a wonderful burger meal. Will be trying the steak fettuccini today. read more

The food portions are always large in fact we sometimes share an order there is so much food and consistently good!!! . Everyone that works there are all so nice and considerate. We're on vacation and had dinner at Kristina's. They were short staffed t honestly we wouldn't have known it if the waitress hadn't told us. She did an awesome job of handing the place. I had the sirloin steak special- so good, tender, cooked perfectly medium rare, excellent price. My teen had an enormous breakfast burrito that was great. My husband had el Mexicano omelette and the beef was seasoned perfectly. We all enjoyed dinner very much. My husband and daughter both want to go again before we leave the area and I'm sure this will be a favorite when we come back next year. read more

We stopped here after a long day of travel, got in about 8 o'clock. They advertise are open till at least nine. The food was OK but nothing fantastic. The service was not OK. We understand our server had been working for 12 hours and after taking our order, and finally bringing us our food, she went home and didn't have anybody else cover our table. Not real happy about that. We had to go find someone to get extra water, but never didn't get a check. We had to go up and ask to pay. I can understand if the server goes home after a long day but at least have the courtesy to cover the customers that are already sitting there and paying her wages. My friend and I came here at the recommendation of our local Inn Keeper and we were not disappointed. We tried their NY strip and shrimp scampi. The portions were perfect and very satisfying. We asked for "medium" on the NY strip and we got just the right amount of pink-ness in the center. We were there on a weeknight; service was very attentive and friendly. Came to Eureka on a road trip and this is the best thing the town has going for them! We came for dinner every night we were there. The food was delicious and the plates are huge!! The service was great and everyone was very nice. You can tell all the workers are friendly and it gives a very welcoming family feeling. The country hash was a good portion size and the California Benedict was pretty good. They have a counter with stools if you want to sit alone or join the locals for breakfast. Kristina's is convenient if you're staying at a nearby hotel, but you could also get a quick breakfast from Wendy's across the street. read more

Stopped in at Kristina's for breakfast and was quickly seated. It was 900a on a Saturday and there were only three of four people in the restaurant. While the building is older, there's been some upkeep done, though the bathrooms could use some serious attention. The staff here was super friendly and relaxed, and simultaneously efficient and attentive. Our coffee cups were filled the whole time, as were our water glasses, and the menu had a great selection of offerings. My husband enjoyed his breakfast which consisted of eggs, bacon, toast and hash browns- though his hash browns were a little OVERLY crunchy. I in the other hand tried a country skillet which would have been very flavorful, but the potatoes tasted (and looked as though) they had been burnt onto the skillet. Leaving a crunch charred mess in every bite that overpowered the gravy, bacon eggs ets that would have otherwise made it tasty. So three stars for now... perhaps the cook was having a bad morning and the potatoes weren't being agreeable. read more

So the hubby decided to take me out of town for our anniversary and we landed in Eureka, CA. This is the cutest little beach town. Everyone we've met is super nice, especially our server, Elaina! Not only was she attentive to our basic needs at the table but her recommendations for both food and sight seeing were spot on. My husband ordered the Meat Lover's 3 egg omelette. It came folded over perfect with cheese on top, hash browns cooked exactly how he likes them and 4 slices of sour dough bread perfectly toasted! I ordered the Cinnamon French Toast which came on the fluffiest bread I've ever had! With two scrambled eggs and two strip of bacon cooked to perfection! The restaurant is super clean and gives you the nostalgic feels... it's located on the corner of a pretty busy street which leads to the highway. Hotels are conveniently located right next door. We stayed at the Best Western which is within walking distance. All in all we had an awesome experience in a clean and delicious restaurant. We'll definitely stop in again when in Eureka! This morning's brunch has restored my faith in Kristina's. The last time I ate at Kristina's was 20 years ago and was so unimpressed that I completely wrote it off. This morning, I had a hankering to treat my kids and myself to a quarantine brunch, but being a Sunday, the only breakfast place available on Door Dash, other than McD's (and that's a HARD pass!!!!) was Kristina's. Having read recent positive reviews, especially during this quarantine situation, I decided to give it a shot, figuring a lot can change in 20 years, and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a variety of different things, having children with very different breakfast preferences, figuring we could share and all enjoy a nibble of this and a nibble of that. The country breakfast was by far our favorite! The country potatoes were so good, my teenage son devoured the biscuits, and the eggs were perfect! My daughters loved the strawberry waffles. I'm not much of a sweets-for-breakfast, but I even I thought they were quite yummy. The reason I'm only rating a 4 is because the mushroom crepe wasn't really a hit. The hollandaise was pretty basic and a sweet crepe paired with a savory filling was a little odd, but the filling was good once I peeled the outer crepe off. I also found it pretty weird that it came with "required" side dish options of baked potato, fries, or mashed potatoes. You could add a "recommended side" of options that made more sense - hash browns, country potatoes, etc. - for $3.85 more on your order, but you still HAD to choose a "required" potato option to place your order. Now, this may be more a Door Dash app limitation thing, I really don't know....but it was still odd to have to order a baked potato with my breakfast just to place the order. Still, we've now got full, happy tummies, so well done, Kristina's! And thanks for being open on a quarantine Sunday! :) Update: Ordered again, using Door Dash again, and added a comment that there was no option to choose hash browns as my "required potato" with my Crab Benedict (which was freaking delicious, lest I not mention that!), and asking if they'd be willing to sub hash browns for my "required potato" selection of fries, but stating that I understood if they were unable to. And they totally did sub hash browns for me! Yay!!! Way to go above and beyond for the customer! As someone who previously worked in food service for many years, I know what a pain in there butt these requests can be but how happy they can make the customer, so thank you, thank you, Kristina's staff, for going that extra mile when you didn't have to! Our server, Melissa, was very sweet and efficient even though she was clearly the only server on the floor. I ordered a chicken fried steak, which NEVER happens.
