One of the worst meals I have ever had to pay for. From the atmosphere, cleanliness, food and price, do not bother coming here. No response from wait staff, food was swimming in liquids. The salad had an inch of water in the bottom of the bowl, pasta was a pool of watered down, greasy sauce and the chili on the potato had so much watery liquid, I could barely choke it down. Pastrami sandwich was burned and unappetizing. Don't waste your money. Was ignored by waitstaff. Should have just eaten microwave cup of noddles instead. read more

Was recommended by our hotel. Didn't get a chance to eat here, but was seated, brought water, ordered coffee and then everyone else that came in after us was served. I just love these small local businesses that do it the right way. I got into Eureka late and most restaurants were closed but Kristina's opened about an hour later so I'm a way it was by default that I ended up here. With a half before closing time, I asked the waitress if I can order anything off the menu. I wanted a steak. Not a popular choice at a smallish diner but I was in the mood. She happily said that they can make anything I want. Wow. What a great answer. I got a salad with my steak and I was a little disappointed that my bowl had so much water at the bottom. She said they pull the lettuce out of water which keeps it fresh but they didn't drain it very well. So it was a watery salad which kicked it down a little. But the steak and potato was good. Even ordering so late the kitchen got it right. Great way to address customers needs. Shoot I didn't take a picture of my steak probably because I wanted to eat it right away. But overall the food is good here. The staff is great here too. Really friendly and good conversation. I like it here a lot. The watery salad was a little slip up but I would definitely recommend this place if you are in Eureka and were in the mood for a neighborhood diner. read more

My husband and I were in town for the weekend from Redding and a friend recommended this place. I assumed it was like a Denny's but I feel it was better. We really enjoyed the meals we chose. I got the southern dinner (chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes with (lots of) broccoli florets! It came with a biscuit and salad. My husband got the vintage burger (with bacon, avocado and cheese) on sourdough. And we shared mozzarella for an appetizer. All delicious and perfect! Kristina's Restaurant is the small town equivalent of Denny's. They serve everything from chicken to fish to crepes. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich, and unfortunately figured out that I am not a fan of buffalo sauce. None of my family was impressed with their skillets that they ordered. Personally, I think they have too many options. The menu was ten pages long. A restaurant that serves every type of food is mediocre at all of them. Service above average as well, friendly and efficient. These guys now own a reopened place in Crescent City near the 1 Highway under a different name, that place also impressed me. The food was just ok. We had 6 people in our party. One person sent their food back for a different item. I had the chicken fried steak dinner it was ok. I didn't care for the mashed potatoes and gravy. Someone else had the breakfast burrito. It was large...they only finished half and took the rest home. The prices weren't that great. Visiting from out of town. Found this off of yelp and wanted to give it a try. Came with my coworker. I had the country favorites which was a biscuits and gravy. The biscuit didn't really have much flavor and the gravy was kind of bland. But overall good service. (The portion sizes are on the larger side so definitely a full meal) The bacon was on point ....crispy and had good flavor,. we also bought a Belgian waffle and it wasn't too sweet or to savory very good flavor. This is a good restaurant they have friendly Waitstaff. My favorite is the redwood club sandwich it is a chicken breast with bacon, avocado, parmesan, avocado, tomato on sourdough. Today was the first day the County was back in the red tier, so we thought we would treat ourselves to a breakfast out. Kristina's is owned by the same people as own Pepper's in Arcata, and the menu is the same. The cooks however, apparently are not. I ordered the Classic Eggs Benedict. The presentation looked good, but that's where things went south. The English Muffin was not toasted. They used very thin sliced ham, instead of Canadian Bacon, and the Hollandaise sauce was very lacking. Generally, Hollandaise usually has a lemony flavor. This sauce however, was way less than flavorful. My partner had the biscuits and gravy. The gravy had little chunks of sausage slices in it, not even enough to flavor the very bland white sauce. Our server, Michelle, was perfect and I gave her a 40% tip. read more

Great food! Great service! Food came out quick. My husband ordered meaty omelette and I had the tri trip omelet. They were both good but we agreed the tri tip was better definitely with A1 sauce (Thank you Bri for recommendation). I generally go here for breakfast or the stuffed potatoes. I recently had a chili filled potato and it was presented on several leaves of romaine lettuce. I understand that this prevents the potato from slipping off the plate when serving, but it became a wilty mess while eating. This place is very easy to find and near all the hotels. The place is clean and has an okay decor. Their food is okay. We had breakfast here and it did the job of feeding us but after the first visit, wouldn't go again, unless I didn't have another place to go. I ordered the bacon and avocado omelet with sourdough toast and their hash-browns. It was all pretty good but the hasbrowns weren't the greatest due to the fact that it wasn't crispy enough. My BF had their breakfast burrito which was mediocre due to the lack of flavor and the pieces of potato were too big.
