Well Callie the employee that answered the phone was amazingly accommodating, and was able to assist my family with getting our much desired corned beef through door dash, although it was not on the door-dash menu. Meh? Like most folks passing through Eureka on the 101, we were quite hungry when we pulled into town. We had gone past kind of hungry into that cranky hungry stage. We did not have time to research. We knew a diner would have wide enough options to satisfy. Kristina's was visible and had parking. Done! I didn't mind the decor - schlocky diner design usually appeals to me. The service was good and prompt, and the coffee kept flowing, which is great for tired drivers. However, the food was just kind of bland. I got the "extreme potatoes," which consisted of baked potato chunks with bacon bits, melted cheese, avocado, sour cream, salsa and lettuce. The potatoes were okay, the cheese tasted processed, and the bacon was... just kind of there. The avocado was good, but I generally expect that from the Avocado State. My friend's food was kind of bland, too. He got this french steak thing (I am blanking on the name, but it's essentially steak, baguette and some kind of savory dipping sauce.). He said the sauce was unremarkable. He didn't even take the sauce to go, and he takes *everything* to go. We had grand plans to fry up the remains of both of our dishes together that night at our camp site with fresh tomatoes and spices to make them more exciting, but we forgot the hose to our propane stove... that's a whole other sad tale. I ate the leftovers cold, and they were filling, but still kind of bland. Oh well. read more

This is your classic old school diner, unremarkable, but all around fine for most everyone. Breakfast includes all sorts of typical dishes eggs any style, wraps, omelettes, flapjacks etc. with sides of hash browns. Good for kids too. The coffee was good. Did not try other dishes. Came here as a quick stop on our road trip and while the service was good and our waitress was very nice the food was less then tasty. I had the chicken tortilla soup that came with garlic bread and for dinner I had the fiesta salad. The salad was pretty bland, I ate maybe 1/4 of it. The soup was better then bland but definitely not amazing. The garlic bread was slightly burnt with some parmigiana cheese sprinkled on it, maybe to cover up the burnt part. My husband got the burrito but was less then thrilled with the fake cheese all over it. He also got the vanilla shake which was pretty good. The place looked clean and everyone was very friendly but if you are interested in a tasty meal, I'd keep looking. ** On a side note, the owner privately messaged me to apologize for my experience and offered to allow us the chance to dine again to make up for our previous meal. I find this commendable and I appreciate his offer and the time he took to message me. I think this speaks volumes of the customer service you'd receive here. read more

hubby reallly liked his minnestrone, and i thought my salad was the best - fresh and oh so crispy, excellent! hubby and i each ordered ny steak. his medium rare was more of a medium, but very good. my rare was the expected medium rare which was what i wanted. mushrooms topping the steaks were scrumptious. his baked potato was perfectly baked, and i couldn't stop eating my potato salad until it was all gone. service was terrific, the gal refilled hubby's coffee and my water without being asked. great food, great service!!! read more

Honestly couldn't be more happy with my experience here. Came in on this Friday night and we were immediately greeted with a smile. The walls are beautifully hand painted with local scenery, which made it feel very inviting. The food was a more than generous portion & was presented beautifully. It was delicious. Our waitress was very sweet & attentive. Even though she had multiple tables, she took her time at each and made sure everyone was very well taken care of. Her experience & maturity showed & only made our visit that much more enjoyable. With so many diner restaurants in this town, I'm very glad we chose this one. Highly recommended read more

I am writing this review for their room service. I am a business traveler, staying at the Best Western Humoldt in Eureka. To tired to venture out, decided on room service. I am ALWAYS disappointed when it comes to room service...NOT this time. Wow, fast, fresh, delicious. Huge portions too. I ordered the Shrimp and Avo Salad with bread and potatoe skins. All is delicous. The fruit that came with salad was also delicious. What a nice suprise after a long day. Seriously the best salad I have had in a long time! I can not comment on the interior or atmosphere of the restaurant. Even if ugly, it is totally worth it at this price and quality of food! read more

For a casual diner, the food here was outstanding. I recommend the place to anybody. I had the Seafood Combo and really enjoyed it. My wife couldn't stop complementing the freshness of the fruit. This place was so cute. We stopped by on our way back from Redwood National Park and had a late breakfast. The staff was prompt and courteous, and I thought it was such a nice touch that they were dressed up in a professional manner, it hearkened back to a time when service was a tip-top priority. Fantastic! I ordered the steak and fettuccine combo. The steak was cooked to order perfectly. The Fettuccine was also on point. This is the best breakfast in the whole wide world. The food was so good that I forgot about their average customer service. Our waiter did randomly leave the restaurant for a while, and I had to ask someone else on staff to bring me my drink... We stopped for breakfast on our long road trip back up to Oregon. My son loved his Mickey Mouse pancake, cute touch! I had the chicken fried steak, but I'm not sure why I didn't get the special sale price advertised. I suppose I could have asked but didn't realize til we were gone, so be aware of that=\ My wife's eggs & bacon were great, wish she could say the same for her french toast...it was cold, soggy, and tasted funny. 3 stars are for the waitress, very friendly blonde! read more

Most aspects of this establishment's appearance are unremarkable or even a bit offputting, but it made up for it with the food and service. All of us agreed that our meals were surprisingly good, and the waitress was friendly and attentive. All that, and none of us even got salmonella poisoning! This is your classic greasy spoon joint. This is a very decent place to get breakfast. You really don't have very many other choices.

We were on our way to Crescent City and wanted to be spontaneous. So we decided to try Kristina's Restaurant. Upon walking in, it appeared to be old and extremely outdated. The chairs are bright red and the walls are pink. But aside from the looks of the place, our food was quite delicious. I had the open faced chili burger. I can be picky with chili but damn it was really good. My boyfriend had the Kristina's Club Sandwich and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was hot, fresh and the portions were huge. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try something besides the typical Applebee's restaurant . Yummy! read more
