The menu is extensive. The portions will not leave you unsatisfied; each item is tasty, and unless in its very nature it is unhealthy, such as fried, the meals are healthy and full of fresh carefully chosen quality ingredients. On top of that, the prices are just a modicum above Dennys, making it one of the best value eateries we have found across the USA. I'm always skeptical about people giving five stars. But I'll have to say, Kristina's Restaurant was really good! I ordered the New York steak and fettuccine and planned to split it with my wife. When it came out, it was way more than I could've eaten by myself. Even splitting it we had a lot leftover. The steak was cooked perfectly and was flavorful. The fettuccine was very good, creamy, hot, and tasted better than I've had in a while. Great customer service! Next time I'm in town, definitely going to try breakfast! read more

At first blush the decor gives off immediate warning signals for Kristina's. Purple on purple? Prince? This place is either going to be awsome or awful. I at there twice, once for breakfast and once for lunch. Of the two lunch was the superior meal of the California Burger with Fries. The burger was just a good burger. The Fries were fantastic. Crispy on the outside , soft in the middle without being dried out or crunchy. Breakfast was iffy. It was good, I at all of it, but it didn't stand out in any way. It was some kind of smothered breakfast potato dish w/eggs . bacon, sour cream, etc. Think smothered baked potato, not breakfast. In our travel's got a room at the best western hotel and kristina's is next door . We thought we would eat light..ended up there were too many choices so we tried a few. Everything we had was good, there were lots of mushrooms and onions and meat on the tri tip sandwich and lots of broccoli and cheese on the potato and the salad had baby corn and lots of veggies and egg . We had to have a sundae because they have a sundae for every day of the week but you can have any sundae any day . So we went for Thursday sundae on Friday ;) The sundae is big, the two of us couldn't finish it .We also shared the meals . You get a lot of food! The Sundae was chocolate ice cream, hot fudge, bananas and some cookie crumble , whip cream and cherries! Everything came out looking cute or presentable! Our waitress was great I wish I remembered her name ;( but she took care of us , came back to check on us and offer refills , all of the staff was polite and talkative and nice. And the crazy part...our bill was only$ 39.00 !! I was shocked ! All that food and good food and it didn't cost $100 ! Would totally recommend this place ! read more

Had breakfast at Kristina's with my father. He had eaten here before when he was in town for work and said it was good. I live in Eureka and had never eaten here so I thought I would give it a try with him since it has 4 stars on Yelp. The food was terrible. The waitress was friendly and efficient so I gave them one star. The restaurant is dingy and dark. Honestly I've had better food at Denny's. This is diner food nothing special. I had biscuits and gravy breakfast served with 3 eggs and country potatoes. The gravy tastes like paste, no flavor. The sausage in it is sliced mini links. They taste and feel like hot dogs. The biscuits were okay once I scraped the gravy off. Eggs were fine. The country potatoes were greasy and not seasoned but cover in green onions. My father had the pancake breakfast with bacon and eggs. The pancakes were dry. Considering you're still paying $10-12 per plate I suggest going to The Chalet if you want a decent breakfast. Or any of the numerous other great spots for breakfast in Eureka. Won't go back. read more

This restaurant is right on a curve of Highway 101 going through Eureka, but for my family it has been the PERFECT place for an unbelievable $11.99 one-pound sirloin steak dinner (the 5/2013 special). The service was impecible --she had my check waiting the instant I asked for it (I usually like to get the check early). EVERYTHING was included, salad, baked potato, garlic bread. One of my kids ordered a $5 kids meal, which was pancakes, bacon, and fruit in the shape of a face. The portion was large enough for my 10 year old. I'm usually suspicious of restaurants right on the main thoroughfare, but this restaurant is great! I saw some of their salads as well, and they looked very substantial as well. Our other dinner choice in Eureka, The Samoa Cookhouse (actually in Samoa, a couple miles outside town) has great home-cooked food served family style, but it is a bit more expensive at around $15 for adult dinner. Anyway, either restaurant is a great choice! I think another thing that I liked was that neither restaurant is part of a chain. read more

We had been travelling all day and were tired and hungry. We pulled into Kristina's Restaurant pretty late and honestly weren't expecting much. Boy, were we surprised! The food was fantastic! We all ordered breakfast and every single food item was simply wonderful. Home style food in huge portions! I ordered a Bay shrimp stuffed avocado salad and it was ginormous: fruit, vegetables, condiments in addition to the shrimp and avocado. Terrible service on Christmas. The general rule in any food industry is to have the customers seated within 2 minutes of entering restaurant. Menus and drinks should be provided within 3 minutes of seating. Waitress's act like they don't know if they are coming or going. Complete and udder chaos in this restaurant. Had to wait ten minutes to be seated. During the ten minute wait, had to listen to an older lady complain that the waitress never brought them a bill, or came back to the table in the 45 minutes they were there. Then the waitress never brought their desert which was part of the 15.99 xmas meal. The waitress responded, "So do you want your desert?" Really? It's part of the meal, you cheat the customer, then ask if they are ok paying for it, even though they didn't get it! YIKES red flag number 2! After being seated, we waited for another 10-20 minutes. Ended up having to flag down a waitress to take our order. The ham meal was terrible! Cold, and the veggies tasted like they were straight from a can. During the course of the meal, we over heard two other tables complaining that they didn't get their check, or their desert. Heard more than once from one waitress, "Oh, yeah! that does come with the meal....." In the hour or so we were there, only got one refill on drinks. When I went to pay, the one waitress was in such a hurry to leave, she passed the bill off to a rather rude, and unfriendly girl. Couldn't even so much as say, "How was everything?" "Merry Xmas" or "Have a nice evening." This restaurant use to provide good service. The waitress's use to know how to multitask, and handle large crowds. We tried Kristina's before and I was not feeling well so I thought that's why I didn't like it..well we tried it again yesterday and well my experience was nothing but gross, The service was great but a couple things, first we where seated next to about 25 17 y/o soccer players from Argentina that have not discovered deodorant yet and the smell was so gross, after trying to just cover my nose every time one of them would walk by (which was constant) I finally gave up and left half my food and beer on the table paid and ran out of there, the food was ok but do they really need to give each person 10lbs of fries ? fries everywhere I couldn't even move my sandwich without tons of fries falling on the table. also 5 bucks for a bottle of coors light is absolutely nuts ! try Adels I find it better... read more

My husband, mom, nana and I stopped here on our way from Manteca to Cresent city. I got the turkey Pezole which the waitress told me was homemade. OMG it was sooooo amazing. Out doing some Christmas shopping and the family was getting a bit hungry so we all collectively decided to get a bite to eat. We all were in the mood for diner food so we actually set off to eat at Dennys in Eureka. Once in the parking lot we changed our mind and set off to support a local business, one that we have not eaten at before. So off to Kristina's. The service was great, and the food was ample and tasty. The kiddo got the popcorn chicken and it was REAL chicken breast pieces, not some melded chicken paste. We all got the fresh fruit and it wasn't just grapes and a wilted orange slice, it was FRESH fruit, Wahoo! Clean environment and a gem for Eureka. Bear in mind the cost is slightly higher than your typical diner place, but it is well worth it. Next time I'm in Eureka, I'll probably stop by again! read more

Stopped here based on Yelp reviews while passing through. We had the bacon and avocado omelets and substituting spinach for the cheese and fruit for the potatoes and toast. FABULOUS breakfast! Fruit was fresh and omelet was superb. The restaurant allows you to see the cooks. The two cooks rocked it for the breakfast crowd! Kristina's was the restaurant next door to our hotel, where we were staying with our 3 young kids. Not only was Kristina's amazingly convenient, the staff treated us so well and our kids and adults alike had a wonderful dining experience. Since the kids had eaten dinner prior to our arrival (and we were on vacation), we ordered the kids a fruit salad and the Sunday Sundae, basically, a HUGE bowl filled with 6 scoops of ice-cream and topped with whipped cream, various sauces, etc. WOW! What a deal! Likewise, the fruit salad was a fiesta for the eyes as well as the mouth, being completely fresh and beautiful. Again, an amazing value, as was the delicious soup/salad combo the adults ate (I want the recipe for that lentil bean soup!).
