A beautiful and convenient location near Zuma Beach with amazing food! I had the Tacos Malibu, which were an excellent spread of fish tacos with tasty salsas. The restaurant itself is beautiful, but the service was a bit slow. We went around 3:30pm, so it wasn't very crowded, and there were a lot of people working. You'd think they'd be on top of it, but our server wasn't very attentive and I had to ask multiple times for the check. That said, we'd return for the great food and location.

Hidden gem for sure! At this little shopping center lies a wonderful little Cantina. This restaurant and staff were killing it! They even had the World Cup soccer games on all TV's. They have this beautiful bar and its big enough for drinks and a meal. The drinks were well made and balanced. The food was excellent! I ordered the ceviche and taco tasters. 3 different ceviche, 5 different street tacos, and the 3 piece street elote. Everything was delicious. My favorite part about my experience is that this restaurant was play the freshest House Lounge music Not loud, but at just the right volume to hear it, groove a little, and still have a conversation. Okay, back to the review. Bathroom was clean. There were a few celebs in and out at dinner. My favorite was Forrest Frank, Amen! Great job staff. I wish I had names for my waiter and 2 other staff helpers. The staff was fast and so so good. The staff got our food out in a timely manner. I will definitely be back for more amazing food, and that House Lounge vibe!

Had to stop by my favorite margarita and Mexican food spot in Malibu while I was driving through. Alex and Kevin are great bartenders who not only make great drinks but provide great service. Food is great love the quesabirria tacos but the menu has so many options everyone can find something they enjoy. Must try spot if you're in Malibu!!

Such great quality food for a great price! Came across them gem after Zumba hike and ordered the ceviche de pescada which was the perfect balance of fish and lime! we also got the guac that we didn't know came with a while presentation! That was a pleasant surprise The ambiance was casual fancy & the interior was beautiful! We came from a hike and were sat down quickly without a reservation

Stopped in at La Nena over the weekend for dinner. Had the hard shrimp tacos. Very tasty, loved the garnish, great combination of flavors. Wife had the carne asada fajitas. We were in a rush and let the server know that we're in a hurry, food came out timely, we ate and were on our way. We didn't stay long but did take in the restaurant and the environment, nicely done. It was later in the evening, people were still coming in. So it must be a popular spot.

This was literally the best salad I have ever eaten in my life. Seared tuna salad + aquilita drink. Wow.

Grilled & fried fish tacos! Delicious!

Absolutely delicious! Loved the ambience and decor! The service from Rafael at the bar was top notch! He was friendly & knowledgeable of the menu! First time here on a busy Sunday evening & happy to have found two seats at the bar! The fish, mole, Chile relleno & carnitas tacos were absolutely tasty! We enjoyed every bite! My Paloma was perfectly delicious too! A week later I made reservations & we returned with our best friends! They loved it just as much! Definitely my new favorite!

People were standing around waiting to be helped, and I heard multiple customers complaining because no one was there to serve drinks or answer questions. The entire place felt neglected. The tables were sticky, the trash cans were overflowing to the point that trash was spilling onto the floor, and the smell inside was awful. It honestly made me question when anything had last been cleaned. To make matters worse, it was unbearably hot inside. Between the heat, the smell, and the complete lack of service, I simply couldn't stay any longer. I ended up leaving because the experience was so unpleasant. As someone who appreciates good customer service, I was shocked by how poorly this place seemed to be run. I truly hope management addresses these issues because no customer should have this kind of experience. I had just come from Whole Foods and bought myself a small meal, thinking I could sit inside and eat while having a drink, but that was not possible because of the condition of the place. Management should be embarrassed.

Almost a speakeasy in a way because you can't really see it in the daytime but at night when it's all lit up from the inside and the neon sign it's kind of like that Nighthawks painting. It's clean and well-lighted and they have a good selection of beer and wine and are working on a liquor license. One giant screen TV for watching the World Champion San Francisco Football 49ers beat everyone and then four little screens to the side for everything from lacrosse to poker. The three gals behind the bar - also known as the Sparkettes - are lovely inside and out. But maybe the best thing about it is the bar food that's available next door at Prince Street Pizza in Irv's Burger's. Prince Street takes their pizza very seriously and it's Rated X for hot, juicy, saucy, sassy. Irvs Burgers offers a five dollar hamburger so take a date and do your Vincent Vega shtick: "Is that a five dollah burger?" If there's any complaint about Sparky's it's too small and they need more comfortable chairs but they're working on that. If I had any friends I would tell them all about Sparky's.

The service and hospitality were genuinely wonderful. Unfortunately, the food and beer didn't come close to matching the experience. I started with the Happy Days Honey Blonde Ale, which I understand is one of their most awarded beers. I was pretty surprised by how little flavor it had. It was nearly flavorless and honestly difficult to finish. I'd rather have a Bud Light, which somehow has more flavor. For food, I ordered the MBC Smashburger. It sounded like a winner from the description and looked fantastic when it arrived, but after the first bite, I knew something was off. The meat had virtually no seasoning or flavor. Even a basic amount of salt would have made a huge difference. The burger came with their house-made potato chips, which again looked great, but unfortunately had the exact same problem. They tasted like plain fried potatoes with seemingly no salt or seasoning at all. I don't know if the kitchen was simply having an off day, but overlooking something as fundamental as seasoning, especially salt, is pretty disappointing for food at this price point. There was clearly effort put into the presentation, but presentation only gets you so far when the food itself lacks flavor. Great location, excellent hospitality, and very friendly service, but based on the beer and food I had, there's a lot of room for improvement in the kitchen and brewery.

The entire hotel was not busy there wasn't that many people there. Kind of a shame since you think it would be since it is beautiful there. The rooms were interesting and across from each other, however I loved the little fire pit they had in the middle of the outside area going back and forth to the rooms. The kids had a blast though they had fun running back and forth and they do leave a lot of yummy snacks around which was really nice. The customer service was not bad not the best but not bad! Everyone was nice but things took extra long when it shouldn't when no one was really there. I hope next time we visit this hotel it will be busier. We completely understand that the weather was beyond the restaurant's control. What was within their control was how they managed seating. Unfortunately, despite having a reservation, we were overlooked and left waiting due to poor organization. When we asked to speak with the manager, PABLO was dismissive, repeatedly interrupted us, ignored the fact that we had a reservation, and sent us back to the front desk instead of addressing the problem. Rather than helping, he emphasized that he had worked there for 26 years and knew what he was doing. His attitude came across as rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. Once we were finally seated, however, our server (Jorge) was excellent, and the food was outstanding. The waitstaff and kitchen clearly provide a wonderful dining experience. Our disappointment was not with the weather, but with the way the situation was handled. A manager should set the standard for customer service, and unfortunately, that did not happen here. Ice water: go inside and help yourself. Mandatory pre-selected tip: 25%. Service attitude: meh. Then, as you opted for the convenient method above, they charge you 99 cent extra. For every order. OK, if you care to hear more: I was born and raised in Germany. In Germany, staff gets paid by the hour, so it's typical to "round up": on a €44 check you would possibly give €47-48, €50 would be considered generous. STILL, when I get asked what would be the first you would import from the US, I suggested "the way you tip service". For decades, 15-18, max 20% was the rule, and you got excellent service for this. I preferred excellent service over saving money in a restaurant. Now, they led us to believe that service does not get paid and their tip is what they take home. Also, they want is to believe that 15% tip is almost an offense as everything got more expensive. A server at Zinqué Malibu earns a legally mandated minimum of $17.91 per hour before tips. Zinqué does not publicly disclose its exact hourly rate; its job postings describe compensation as "hourly + tips," based on experience. True: everything gets more expensive. Every year. So if prices adjust for a sandwich, so does the tip, it's whatever percent on top. So "everything is more expensive" is covered by the higher tip. Zinque offers substandard service, suggests an extra 25% as default for it, and then makes me pay extra for them reducing the service. I still believe that great service deserves recognition. Sadly, I also believe that whoever is behind this, has lost his mind. As much as I love the ambiance of this place, I will not go again. Possibly they would not even want me to come again. Fair enough. During my visit, max 20% of the tables were taken, rather less. Maybe there are more people like me. Again, to make sure we do not misunderstand each other: I have no objections to have an online menu. I prefer a "real" one, but then, digitalization will take over. Fine. I dot not support that I have to tip before I have even seen service, though. Tip must be earned. By service. The more you love the service, the more you should tip.
