The customer service at this location is amazing because of the store manager Kryletta. The store is usually very clean and well-stocked as they can be considering product shortages and the normal supply chain issues of the world right now. I can always find very nice produce, and the older guys at the meat counter are always amazing as well. The first time I came to the store, I did not receive the best customer service, but after talking to the store manager all of that changed. Kryletta always has a smile on her face and it's very apparent that she treats the employees very well because they all seem to respond well to her when she's around them. read more

As I walked into the front door, an employee started to yell 'NO NO we are closed no no no' ... & at that moment to my knowledge from what I just had googled, they were closing at 11..... Such a crappy store. What a shame...in a great area. When this was Hiller's I never shopped anywhere else. But after Hiller's sold out, it REALLY went downhill. The employees are downright rude, and the quality of the produce is now "Kroger Quality" produce (ie sucks). But at least it was close... Up until the other night. We were at the automatic checkouts. They had some ignorant millenial working the machines, so the line was a mile long. While all the machines were needing attention, this imbecile was playing around. When my machine went down for the third time, I asked for help. "In a minute when I'm done,"she tells me, as she's walking away. "In a minute, I'm leaving," I tell her back. "You can't talk to me that way, " the little brat says. "Really? Last time I checked, I'm the customer here," I said, as I pushed $60 of groceries over to the customer service counter. When I called the store on my way home, some lady apologized, and said "I'll have someone get back to you." That was Saturday...it's now Monday. Nothing but crickets. Meanwhile, I went back to Ninos (like I should have to begin with) and was impressed with the manager working the store on Sunday. We all had a good laugh at the people in this miserable Kroger..being run by kids. Meanwhile, the Ninos is SPOTLESS, worked by people with smiles on their faces...actually EAGER TO HELP YOU! Produce is consistently MOLDY on the shelves. Visible dust bunnies and dirt clusters on the floor and near vents. Lines are long and in a terrible place that intercedes the aisles and walk-ways. This is the closest grocery store to my house but I actively go out of my way to avoid shopping here due to lack of hygiene. Simply gross. Shame since it's in such a central area. read more

DONNA was the rudest employee I have ever dealt with. I tried to use a coupon for eggs, this was at self checkout. I tried to use the coupon but it was not working. So I called over the employee, her name was Donna. She said that the coupon was already used. I said no it has not been. Yet she said it was and walked away. So then after I payed I saw it was not used. I tried to tell her that it was not used as I added up the total and it added up and total was what it would be without the coupon. She said that it was used. I tried to show her that it was not but she said it was and then walked away after I told her that. She then went on and came back and told me there was nothing she could do. She then started YELLING AT ME when I asked her why she said that was not her issue she looked away then walked away. read more

I stop by this one every now and again when I'm in the area and I like a few things about this place. First and foremost the produce selection has a much better selection than its sister store on 12 mile. I don't think it's anywhere near the quality or selection of a Whole Foods but I did find a few odd items here that I can't find elsewhere golden beets in particular are one of my faves. I spoke with the produce manager when I had a question about a giant and odd fruit. He informed me that what I was looking at is called a Jack fruit and is something that is ordered fairly often at this location. I told him that I ll be needing one for a party soon and he said it would be no problem to order one and have it ripen in back a few days before the party. I found this to be a nice personal touch and worth a shout out. I don't recommend this place for deli though the 12 mile Kroger has it beat by a mile. I'm not sure if it's the meat or the bleach smell but it's not appetizing. read more

What has happened to this Kroger? Today was a bad shopping experience. We found several examples of expired food. The prepared food section Kroger brand chicken teriyaki with pineapple meal, we found 2 packages that expired in May! We handed in in the meat department after 2 employees indicated it wasn't their problem. Next aisle, Dole jarred fruit: looking for peaches and pineapple. One of them expired in 2018! One in April. At the service counter response was ""I'll tell my manager. " In the dairy I was checking 1/2 & 1/2 for expiry dates and the Dairy person took it upon himself to explain those are sell by dates not use by. Last straw in the yogurt and cheese area where 2 employees are discussing whether Lisa a dairy Manager was fired or transferred. I don't need to know this. The older gentleman was trying to ignore the younger employee in all fairness. I was headed to Busch's today but changed my mind and headed to Kroger instead. What a mistake The bright spot was cashier Natalie. At least we are able to drive to a different Kroger from now on. read more

I used to shop at this location when it was Hiller's. I was disappointed when Hiller's closed, but heard that Kroger was going to step up it's game and try to keep it a boutique grocery, etc, etc. Well, I was there Sunday. Needed lettuce for a salad. Paid $4 for lettuce and chose the best looking available, which isn't saying much. Got it home and it was even more wilted than it appeared and half of it was brown at the stem. I ended up throwing it out since there was nothing to be salvaged. On the other side of the store, my husband picked up a package of green/gray bagels. Yep. That's some good quality there. I don't know who manages this location, but they need to train their employees better. read more

The absolutely worst market ever. Employees and managers are so miserable and rude. They destroyed hollers legacy. They replaced wonderful products with cheap Kroger brand everything. They don't carry half of what I need. I hate everything about this market. read more

Biggest complaints: A. Selection 1) when it was hillers, the deli was a B+, now the deli is a D. They've replaced healthy salads with basically mayo with a small side of chix masquerading as chix salad. Everything makes a giant GOOP sound. 2) There is never any diet pop in this store. They force you to buy cans, which I don't want. Diet 7up gone, Diet vernors, gone, diet pepsi caf free ..NEVER there. These are major brands and for some reason they think everyone is a Hillbilly drinking full sugar. B. Service I was in line to report some things that I wanted to order now gone, along with 3 others. The gal at the station didn't write anything down or try to follow up. After waiting 10 mins she just said...well either we aren't carrying it, or we are out. NO KIDDING. This store has gone terribly downhill. There were disgusting spills in the parking lot and also at the store entrance... that had obviously been there a while. I went with a friend who needed a powered cart. there were only two in the store.... both ran out of power as we were using them. One cart pulled heavily to the side, making it difficult to steer; the other had broken armrests with sharp edges on them. in the parking lot, the cart guy wanted us to move the powered cart out of his ! way, instead of offering to help. that is when the second cart lost power.... we could not have left without a passerby helping to push the cart out of the way. they do get one star for inside the store where the staff were friendly and wearing cute halloween costumes. If we have to go to kroger again, will go to a different store... by the way, this store is on the west bloomfield/commerce township border, at 14 mile and haggerty, not in novi.... read more

This store is a mess lately. Expired meat (by a week) in the case. The seafood counter was curtained off and what seafood was in the center case was just sad. Freezers were less than stocked and kind of a mess. read more

This super market has gone steadily downhill since it changed from Hillers. On Saturdays and Sundays they are frequently out of common goods. They have steadily increased the percentage of Kroger brands to the point is is difficult to impossible to get higher quality name brand canned vegetables. They pay no attention to the demographic of their shoppers. Despite the fact that they are in an area with a high percentage of Jewish shoppers they refuse to carry Jewish goods. You can get 25 different type of bacon but you can't get kosher cold cuts or a Jewish rye. Meijers and Walmart beat them on price. Busch's and Johny Pomodoro beat them on quality by a mile. I rarely go in the store anymore and when I do I vow never again read more
