I haven't been to this Kroger before, I usually shop at Meijer. As of today that has changed. This Kroger was fully stocked in all of its aisles, Meijer not so much. It is a longer drive, but I will be shopping at Kroger for groceries for now on. It was good to see all of the Boar's Head meats and cheeses. Their fresh sushi is outstanding also, picked up the spicy California roll and spicy Tuna roll. The store was clean and I saw a lot of shelves being restocked. The only thing I could see that needed improved would be that the parking lot could have been cleared of snow and Ice better. read more

Wow! Such nasty posts. I use this Kroger regularly. They have all I need. Prescription services are good. Generally they have what I need and I leave satisfied. I have seen much worse elsewhere. Not worth th3 drive to Meijer for me. The posts about being out of things are not wrong. This Kroger does seem to struggle with over and under stocking. In addition, their beer selection has been reduced which sucks. They also don't have a liquor store which makes me have to go elsewhere at times. They have recently renovated which moved a bunch of stuff around, confusing us simple minded Delawarians! read more

Hello, I am a shopper at your store. I have one request. STOP the country music. No one wants to listen to such depressing music while they shop. I have talked to a lot of your employees as well. They are some of the most efficient and friendly customer service people I have ever encountered. Everyone I've talked to agrees, but feel the management listens to the customer more than they listen to them...and they have to work all day in there. So please STOP with the country music It makes me want to leave the store as soon as I can. It's not shopping music. It's depressing. Thank you, also btw if it is that they play country music certain hours? I'd like to know and it should be posted. While this store may be smaller than some of the other Marketplace style stores, they do a terrific job of keeping it stocked, clean, sanitized and they support our community. If you can't find something, they will help and sometimes order something for you. read more

This store has always been outstanding until the pandemic. Now if you can find a fully stocked shelf or aisle, it's a miracle. Today I ordered 3 items. I only received 1, bananas. I was required to pay 6.08 for $1 worth of bananas! I was charged 4.98 for pick up fee!!! Unbelievable and unacceptable!!! Will probably start shopping at Meijer and Aldi regularly. read more

They are always out of many items. They never have enough cashiers. This is a very busy store and needs more help.

I'll be honest - except for the store brand yogurt and cereals, I much prefer Meijer. However, Kroger is located on the way home from work and, since I pretty much live on cereal and yogurt, it has remained my main food stop despite some of the issues I have had. Oh, there are no major complaints mind you. The store is usually pretty clean, the service is fine, and there is a good selection. However, I have had a number of minor annoyances with items that are not marked clearly or at all, and the yogurt section which is often very picked over by the time I get there - normally around 7:30\8:00. It is not uncommon that I have to settle for a brand or flavor different than what I planned, unless I feel like harassing a clerk\manager, which I rarely do. I also seem to get better deals on meat and veggies if I go to Meijer. Still, I have never had any problems with what I buy. I really do like the store brands, and in terms of convenience, the place can't be beat. The discount bin by the pharmacy is also fun to dig through, and the sitting area near the books is very cute. I don't know I really want to park myself there for a few hours to read, but I do see folks doing so now and then. There is plenty of parking, and plenty of cart corrals. ...I could do with a little more visibility at the gas station, though, which is a pain to get out of with cars zipping around the curve in the road you are trying to cross... read more

Pretty nice location, but I've only been in there twice. The store's nice and clean, it has a nice setup, and the staff are helpful. I'm no longer journeying up to Delaware, so I can't say I'll ever be back. read more

The worst managed Kroger I have ever shopped at. They historically run out of so many items that I purchase Weekly. I so many times end up having to go to the other smaller Delaware Kroger to finish up my shopping. Guess I will just start going there, although it is a little more of a drive to get there. Or maybe go to Meijer. PLUS, in the midst of this COVID-19 pandemic, according to their website, this 24 hours Kroger has shortened their business hours. Understandable. I looked at their website and it indicated that they close now at 10PM. Cool. I arrived at 9:08 only to find a sign on the door "Closed 9PM". Thank you Kroger for wasting more of my time. read more

Store is clean & close to home. They do have issues with keeping stock rotated. Lots of times I've gone in & shelves are empty. Some of the choices could be better. Meat, produce all have been great. read more

If I could give this Kroger location 0 stars, I would. They are always out of numerous things on my grocery list. Even though it's closer to my house, I find myself driving to the other Kroger locations for my shopping and friendlier customer service. read more

The Houk road Kroger store has got to be the worst managed store in the Kroger system. They are constantly moving products to other areas in the store. No consistentsy in location. Maybe that's good for marketing, but bad for the consumer. If you need to do the inventory relocation, develop a more convenient identification scheme. Please!! We the consumer can't keep up with the changes, and we the consumer end up waisting excessive time shopping. You have made some good improvements by placing the milk up into the front of the store, nice. But relocating products around as much as you do is disconcerting, to say the least. read more
