My granddaughter had the ham and cheese kolache, which she said was good. I had a bowl of chicken teriyaki soup which was hearty but tasted just ok. My husband had an Italian Wrap, which he thought was good. He gave the wrap a solid 4. With one exception, the staff was welcoming, super friendly and eager to help. There is an eat-in dining area (that could have used some attention after the lunch hour). I'm not sure I'd stop again. The prices are good and you can grab a quick snack, but there are better options to eat in the area.

The clerk, who as watering plants turned and asked if I needed help and I told her the orchids were beautiful. She then told me the story of Beverly Barry, one of the store's founders. The Barry's modeled their stores after European markets, with fresh flowers and produce. Beverly loved orchids. She passed away a few years ago and the store honors her memory with magnificent orchid displays. I love this story. The clerk was passionate and proud of Fresh Market, and for good reason. The produce is beautiful. The bakery display of cakes and pastries is beautiful. The candy display - beautiful. Even the seafood counter is gorgeous. I picked up a number of items including craft beer, European tea and coffee. Oh man, the fresh coffee is soooo good. The chain is out of North Carolina. There is accessible parking. A pharmacy tech has flat out told me "You're not our patient and we have our own patients to worry about," even though I was actively trying to become a patient and was already a Kroger pharmacy patient, just at a different location. I've also experienced an employee mutter not-so-quietly when I politely asked if a half dead plant was marked down at all, that I'm "just trying to get something cheaper...!" Well duh! During the time of my first visit there were plenty of people in there, not always alot of space, which almost forces you to interact with your fellow co-shoppers, either way those pleasantries ended at check out, something was "off" about the staff. Fast forward to my most recent visit with my daughter (who entered with me) slow week day, nothing eye-catching or worth grabbing but "since we're here, we'll buy SOMETHING." There were a ton of people behind the counter waiting on no one, but I received the invisible customer treatment and grudging service. It felt very tolerated and not welcomed, my daughter noticed it as well, in fact as we were walking out she said we will never return here. Loved the strawberries from my first visit. It was refreshing to see fruit resembling those from my parents' garden in the 80s.
