Just an update on my lash journey with Debbie! As I said last year, she is magical with skin, but since I've given up lash extensions (had been doing them off and on for years) I've really gotten to experience how amazing she is in the lash department! Debbie set me up with an at home system (grande lash serum, and a hydrating mascara) to rehab my little nub lashes and bring them back to life. Once my lashes started to get stronger we started doing lash tints and lifts (tint every 6 weeks and lift every 10 weeks or so). The product she uses for lifts is super gentle and lasts for so long! Now I just throw on a little mascara and I have no need for lash extensions or strip lashes cause they are looking so long and amazing. I thought i did a lot of research. This studio had the best reviews, good training, and pretty nice pictures of micro feathering. She seemed creative and a cut above the rest. (If you don't read anything else here, I'd just caution that these things can be more dangerous than you might imagine. There are articles out there i didn't see before but now i know) But when i got there i found that i was rushed. I had to book a consultation prior to the actual appointment, but in that consultation she just seemed to want to rush me out the door. I had to ask and kinda push in order to get her to talk about the shape. Due to my autoimmune tendencies, i was interested in knowing what ingredients were in the ink, and doing a test patch. All in all i still only took probably 15 minutes of a 45 minute appointment. There was $50 right there, wam bam thank you ma'am. The actual appointment for the feathering was just a couple days later. I became nervous about the shape and the ingredients. I decided to use the appointment for brow lamination and lash lift and to keep thinking about the feathering. She was similarly rushing it seemed and not very careful. Something got in my eye and it was stinging and she seemed to clean it a little but not much. I thought i was better, or that i was ok. As i was leaving my vision seemed blurry but i second guessed myself, maybe my eyes were just dry or something. (Also, there went another $300 or $400+ for just like 45 minutes, although i know she wasn't happy it wasn't the $700 process.) It didn't get much better. The blurriness improved with time but actually, ever since I've had pain and dryness in my eyes. So, it seems that i managed to get permanent damage due to the chemicals. I'm not the only one - just search the internets for lash lift eye damage or similar. So please, never second guess yourself just because a place seems well reviewed. I seem to be one of few with a bad experience, but it's worth warning others to avoid damage to their eyes. (By the way, the brow lamination did not last and did not lead to a good shape either, and the lash lift was so harsh on my lashes that it looked good at first but ultimately my lashes broke off so i ended up in a worse spot) read more

I had wanted to get micro feathering for years but was always hesitant, but after 2 friends went to Debbie for their brows and I saw their amazing results, I had to do it also. I came from the East bay to see Debbie in her beautiful studio over three sessions. I went from basically no brows to the brows of my dreams. It's literally unbelievable that she is able to draw these microscopic lines on your brows that look exactly like hair. Debbie's aesthetic is to give you a natural, everyday brow and that is exactly what I wanted. If you want that overdone makeup brow look, don't go to Debbie. I love that I can take what Debbie has done and add makeup to it if I am dressing up or just do nothing at all if I am just running errands. Follow up on my previous review. I went to D.Kroh in late September before a much anticipated trip to Italy. I must admit that I was skeptical of the rave reviews about Yumi lashes. Every service I have ever received from Debbie has been a winner. On top of being a phenomenal person, she is diligent in her craft, listens to your needs and goals, and gives excellent advice catered to you and your skin. Debbie did my microblanding back in 2017-- this was the BEST decision I have made regarding my eyebrows, and Debbie was the perfect person for the job! We had a face-to-face consultation, but she was able to answer my questions and send me information by text. The process was painless, and she caters the look to her clients' natural brows, and what they are looking for in terms of overall look and color. I've had my microblading fully healed since 2017, and we've never even needed a touch-up!! I will do my touch-up with her when she recommends it. I freshen the look of my microblading with regular wax/tints, which are always quick. The results are amazing-- my brows look so fresh and sharp every time, and Debbie knows exactly what color for the tint. I also do dermaplaning with Debbie, which was an incredible choice for my skin. Debbie is so careful and precise with her dermaplaning. She carefully takes off the top layer of dead skin and little baby hairs, and the results are a smooth, instantly glowy top layer. My makeup sits better on my face after dermaplaning, and my skincare absorbs better. I really see and feel the difference from when I do the dermaplaning and when I don't. My favorite part of the process is the little mini-facial where she tailors cleansing products to your skin around the actual planing treatment. A favorite I will continue to do for sure! Lastly, Debbie has recommended some awesome cleansing products and serums to me, which I cycled into my ordinary skincare routine, and have now become staples. She's very attuned to her clients' skincare needs, and is so helpful when talking about your concerns. Ultimately, Debbie is so awesome with her clients. This review is long overdue, but very necessary! I found the hair and makeup vendor search to be one of the more challenging aspects of wedding planning. I found Debbie on Yelp and I'm so happy that I did. Debbie did my wedding makeup last year and I was thrilled with the outcome. We made a few adjustments from the trial and I felt like a beautiful and glamorous bride. Debbie did a little extra/necessary eyebrow work, which was a nice side benefit of having a brow specialist do your makeup. Six members of my entourage were getting their makeup done, so Debbie brought an assistant. Everybody loved their makeup. My mom said she had never felt more beautiful! She offered me water and made me feel at home. Before getting started she explained throughly what to expect, how to treat and care afterwards. I am so happy I found Debbie/Kroh Beauty. I had lash extensions done elsewhere and just didn't care for them but I needed to find a solution for the fact that my eyelashes have thinned out as I have aged. I found Kroh Beauty during my search. Debbie took off the extensions and suggested a couple products to get my lashes healthy before she would do a lash lift on them. After 6 weeks I went back and she did the lift. I love the lash lift and tint. It is much more natural looking which is exactly the look I wanted. The first lift she did didn't take very well so she said to come back in and she redid it with a different product (at no cost) and this time it turned out beautiful. I wish I didn't have to write this review because I was very looking forward to get my eyelash lift at this place. After looking up several places I decided to book with Debbie. Our appointment was supposed to be today at 12:40pm. I got reminders all week and this morning about it. I get there at 12:45 because I got kinda lost (my GPS was directing me to a building not a house). Anyways, I called Debbie when I got there and she did not pick up. I also texted her and nothing. I was knocking the door for about 10 minutes and no answer either. I thought that was odd. So I decided to leave after 20 minutes of no answer. At 1:28 I received a text saying "Hi, you can come in" (????? )43 minutes later! Really? Because I was driving I ignored the text. I was very upset. Not just because I drove 40 minutes to our appointment (not her fault that I live far) but because it took that long to get a response. She then called and I picked up. She said that I should have gone inside in the waiting room. That she was with another client. 1) there was no sign anywhere about going inside, this place looks (and is) like a regular house 2) like I told her, that meant that she would have not honored our appointment anyways. Why would I have to wait 43 minutes for my turn. She just said "would you like to reschedule?" And I said no. She wasn't unapologetic at all. To me, this is very unprofessional. I'm glad everyone in here has a great experience. I wish I would have had the same luck. Debbie did hair and makeup for me and my bridesmaids for my wedding and she was phenomenal to work with. I didn't want my wedding to be a ton of pomp and circumstance, but of course I wanted to look amazing in that 'I always look like this' way - which Debbie totally nailed. I loved my overall look, and all of my bridesmaids looked amazing too. Debbie came recommended to me by my photographer, which is important - Debbie has experience working in the wedding setting and with vendors, especially photographers. You want someone that knows how to make makeup look good in person AND on film, as well as have your hair and makeup last all day long. Debbie was great with both of those things. Prior to the 'big event' - Debbie and I did the consult and practice of hair and makeup. Debbie was super accommodating and gave great feedback and advice, which was helpful for me bc I didn't really know what I wanted. She was really patient as I second guessed and questioned my choices. We talked through strategy, and she even texted me photos of the lipsticks I liked so I could get them myself (she 100% provides all the makeup and products, but I wanted my own for touch ups and bc I liked her stuff so much!) The day of the wedding, she made it to the venue and got everything set up totally independently - which was really helpful as there was lots going on. She kept track of the time (and all the bridesmaids). She made sure I was happy with how I was looking every step of the way, and was really gracious and accommodating when I asked her to completely redo my hair. We had music going, and she was able to roll with the punches as we simultaneously ate breakfast, talked to the photographer, and chatted as friends and family stopped by. Debbie is also just a generally awesome and fun person. She was so much fun to hang out with, before and during the wedding.
