The food tasted amazing! I ordered chicken pineapple and it was the best version of that dish I can remember. The waitress was helpful and friendly without overly pestering us. Someone else ordered mango curry and they loved their food as well. You can see them cook the food and smell the wonderful odour. We dined in but they do take out and delivery. It has an ornate oil painting of some fish. They have managed to invest a small restaurant with a touch of class. I plan on many future trips. read more

On my first visit, I thought it was pretty authentic when I got some nice pad thai noodles, which were rather mild. On my second visit I had the Panang curry with duck. This was okay, but not exciting. Then on my third visit, I opted for the hot tangerine duck. Still not much spice. So my verdict unfortunately is that Krua is a good American-Thai place, but not do high on my must visit list. read more

Chicken was dry and no flavor but the star is the noodles. Will order again. The Lunch special Jungle Beef disappointed due to the super tough beef. Not sure if the beef was overcooked or low quality meat was used. Sauce was tasty but not much was there. I wouldn't order again. Great hole in the wall place with great thai food. Not a lot of seating so not suited for big parties. Free parking in front of the restaurant but not a lot. Portion sizes are pretty big and the food comes out fairly quickly. You can see the cooks so sometimes when they talk to each other, you can hear them but they're never disruptive. Last time I ordered their pineapple fried rice medium spicy and was having difficulty eating it because of how spicy it was and they fixed it for free. read more

I was in the mood for Thai food and found Krua Thai on Yelp. Even before I got inside, I could tell that this place was probably more known for takeout just based on size. It's small, with maybe six tables, and only two were occupied on a Sunday evening. However, don't let that fool you. The service was, as another reviewer noted, top notch. My waiter was very friendly and attentive without being overbearing at all. When a couple sitting at a table asked him to change the TV channel, he offered them the remote to select whatever they wanted to watch. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao and asked for no onions and a little less spice, which they were happy to accommodate. My food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. It was spicy enough that I had to eat it slowly, but not so hot that I couldn't eat it - exactly what I like. The portion size was perfect; I'd even say it was generous for the price. And the chef didn't skimp on the chicken like I've found at some places! All of this is good of course, but the thing that really made me decide to review was how clean the restaurant was. Trust me, I'm picky about cleanliness, and Krua Thai was pristine - the place was *spotless.* I would have thought they just opened, had I not seen reviews going back to 2013. My favorite Thai in the area. Been coming here for years. Reasonably priced. Small sitting area. Service is great. Food is great. We always get the beef or chicken krapow with brown rice. It's nice and spicy and always have more than enough to pack it home for next meal. The pad Thai is also very good. And it is not too sweet like some places. You just can't beat Krua Thai. I had given up on Thai restaurants (they often seem like rip-offs given small amount of meat you often end up with), but Krua Thai is A-OK. Even dishes that seem like they'll be mundane (e.g., Chicken and Broccoli) have something a little unusual added to make them interesting. Found this place when I searched for Thai in Natick. Krua Thai has become one of my favorite places to pick up lunch when I'm at work. The staff are always friendly and the food is flavorful and affordable. I also have to give them extra kudos for having my favorite Japanese tea in their cooler which is hard to find anywhere. The first thing before going into the food importantly is the are being strict about Covid rules although small they do not allow anyone to eat in at all and request you wear masks although optional. Now for the highlights I got 3 items chicken skewers with Peanut sauce it was grilled to perfection but the container of peanut sauce was small if you wanted more it was extra. Next I had Pad Thai that could be a meal in itself normally you have to choose between chicken, shrimp or vegetables. Theirs automatically comes with chicken and shrimp with the chicken they especially don't skimp. Finally I had shrimp with asparagus supposedly in a sesame seed sauce. It was a light sauce which I personally did not see any sesame in it . I personally like darker sauces. However each main dish was plentiful. I had not been in awhile but the next time I do I will make sure I get my main dish in a dark sauce. Otherwise the amount I got could feed 3 people and with tax was slightly under $40 but worth it. read more

This place is near my work and had received great reviews so I thought I would check out out for lunch. The people there are very nice and quick at what they do. I think I only waited 15 minutes for my food from when I ordered. The place itself is tiny and so I wouldn't recommend bringing a lot of people here but its comfortable for a quick meal for a couple. The foods itself is just okay. It's not terrible but I wouldn't seek it out or make a special trip for it. I would give the food 3 stars. It was pretty greasy and not overly flavorful. SERVICE: Excellent. Very friendly. ENVIRONMENT: Small, unassuming restaurant. Clean. Nothing fancy. Nothing to write home about. FOOD: Average to good. Tom yum seemed flavored from pouch or similar and only had mushrooms and chicken. Nothing else, which made it very typical of usual, generic Thai restaurants in America. Pad See (I forget, but spicier than Eew.) had good, flat, wide noodles unlike most Thai places which give you a generic medium wide. At least it used Chinese broccoli and not real broccoli, which is not authentic. Fresh basil is good. We had tofu and it was good, light and fried. Didn't have the Thai eggplant, but rather western species unfortunately. Sauce was good and decently spicey and not super sweet. Spouse had spicey shrimp stir fry, which was good, but nothing spectacular. They did have fish sauce available with fresh peppers, which was a good sign. Fried tofu appetizer was great. Fresh, soft tofu. Most Thai places don't even have that. Note: IMHO... 98% of Thai restaurants in America are 2 stars... very watered down. I've only ever eaten at a Thai place that's worth 4-5 stars and that closed years ago in metro Deteoit. read more

This restaurant was filled with locals and the woman who seated and served us seemed familiar with all the patrons at the restaurant, which made the place seem homey. My boyfriend and I ordered the Mango Duck and Beef Pad Kee Mao. The duck was perfectly crisp. My beef for the Pad Kee Mao was also cooked to perfection. I couldn't help but to devour my whole dish since the spices and flavor were so delicious! This is the perfect place to go to after shopping or if you are in the general area of Natick. Chopped spareribs were flavorful but somewhat dry and 0 presentation. Chicken filled steamed dumplings were bland. Mango Duck was very good, but at $16.50 should have had more duck meat and less duck skin. Pad Thai had good flavor but was also too dry. Other dishes were just ok. They really need to do a lot better to keep us coming back. But it's not bad in a pinch. read more

Hallelujah! Finally a Thai restaurant in the Natick/Framingham area and an excellent one at that. The only down side is that it's mostly set up for take-out. I and my colleagues were lucky and got one of the two tables in Krua Thai (one is for 2 but can handle 3, and the other seats 4) as we weren't up for taking our food back to the office. As this was my first visit, I wasn't up for finding out how hot a 3-pepper dish was, so I went with a yellow curry chicken dish. It was delicious! A great blend of ingredients and flavors. Even the rice was good as it was nice and sticky, not just Minute Rice - like in texture. One colleague had pad-thai and deemed it very good, and my other colleague got the duck choo chee and cleaned the plate. Krua Thai just opened (I was lucky to spot it as it sandwiched in a very small strip mall) but I'm hoping it succeeds as we need this variety of good food in this area and they deserve it. read more

This review is based solely on the food as I ordered takeout. The food was ready reasonably fast and was still hot when I got home. For appetizer I had the chicken satay. The chicken was over cooked (the bottom even tasted a little burnt) and every bite was dry. I hoped the peanut sauce might save them but the sauce was far too gooey and sweet and the sauce portion was too small for the appetizer size. For main course I had pad Thai. this was possibly the blandest pad Thai I've had in my life. There was literally no sauce on the noodles, like to the point they clumped together. The chicken was again far over cooked and dry and the shrimp were pungent (likely not very fresh) so after trying one I avoided those as you probably should too. It's too bad because the staff seemed very friendly but the food here is just barely edible. Will not be back and would recommend avoiding. read more

my colleagues always mentioned an amazing hole in the wall thai place in natick. after finally trying it today, i completely agree. the place is small but very clean and fairly easily accommodated our group of 5 with a few other parties dining at the same time. most of the group went for the lunch specials, with a list of about 15 dishes and a choice of two sides and all under $10. my favorite thai food is tom sum (papaya salad) so i had to go with this and a tom yum soup. both were so good, the papaya salad was extremely fresh and crunchy, with perfectly poached shrimp (and good sized ones!), fresh tomatoes, and crispy green beans. it had just the right level of heat to balance out the fruits. the soup was light, hot, and slightly spicy, and i was glad that i opted for the tofu to balance the mushrooms and add savory flavor. we also got tod mun apps and spring rolls, these were great too. definitely recommend using the hot chili sauce, it's spicy but very flavorful too. read more

This is a review for my first and only experience here, so take it with a grain of salt. My basil fried rice, although very fresh and hot, was seriously lacking flavor. I am not a sauce person at all, but I would be lying if I said this dish was adequately seasoned. My roommate got pad thai, and his uninfluenced response was that it constituted 3 out of 5 stars as well.
