Went here on St Patrick's Day, this is a dive bar within Clayton. It was cool, I like the alternate to TouchTunes that they use here, it's a better deal. My main issue is really, the lack of beer selection. No miller, coors, stag, & the one bartender had no idea what a sour is. Would I come back? Probably not as it's out of my way however if I lived in or around Clayton and wanted to go to a dive bar with a dope jukebox. Only bad thing about it is you're going to want to use all of your credits while there unless you know other places that use the same jukebox brand (I don't, I only see TouchTunes).

How can a place like Krueger's Bar have such a tiny kitchen and some of the best bar food I have ever had. First of all, their chili is amazing. Their service is great. Today we both got the buffalo chicken salad. He went with blue cheese dressing and I got the ranch dressing. One thing I like is that they give you enough dressing for your salad. We both agreed that the salads were very good and just the right amount to not feel stuffed. Would I come back here? You know I will. If you see me there, stop by and say hello.

Cool space, very vintage. Celebrating their 75th birthday in September! Very relaxed during the day.

    Friday Night Lights!

Great Bartenders, atmosphere, patio and biergarten make Krueger's the best bar in Clayton / U. City! The burgers are great too!

The man that snapped me ID.

When checking IDs, my legitimate ID was snapped in half without checking to see if it was real. Bartender showed no remorse and still assumed it was a fake, even after scanning and seeing it was real. A random employee compensated for ID, not the bar, but nothing was done about employee that caused damage and yelled at me when I said it was real.

We paid $20 for what was most likely a $3.99 Tombstone frozen pizza. LOL! Nice outdoor seating, though.

Walk in and there are plenty of tables, a couple of gathering areas, standing room narrow tables, an outdoor area, and a room off to the side. Wednesday nights they have Trivia and I stayed for the first round, it was very current for the current event category. Get a pizza from Katie's, go here, have a beer, have fun!

British Bar INSIDE a "British designed hotel", so I had my hopes probably heightened more that it should have with my previous British bar results. I went in thinking British craziness and got a "Edgar Allen Poe" feel... But I'm going to say this was NOT what I was expecting. First and foremost, your eyes are going to need adjusting. Plain and simple, it felt more like a dark ... room? (Part of the problem I think is that as it was already June, you can forget using the fireplace to lighten the room up) so it felt.. "Small", and I"m going to feel weird saying this... "Romantic Horrorfest". Wait, before you go "wha??", this isnt' necessarily a bad thing. The Taxidermy , the photos on the wall. the fireplace. the VERY (and I mean VERY) dim lighting... The limited seating on the main floor, the one door in and out it had a "wooden cabin feel".. Yes, if you had a wonderful romantic film and it was suddenly invaded by some monster villain... This where it would take place and it would be perfect. (See I can find positive things to say about things i wasn't looking for) As for the service, apparently (going back to the Romantic filmfest), I was struggling to get any attention for the bartendress, cause I guess I was solo'ing by myself, and because of how I wasn't able to get the bartendress attention... I kinda felt like an unwanted customer in a place more for couples or friends getting together which had me leaving shortly thereafter, so no real food score (although I will say, much like Oh London ,the menu wasn't really much to work through...), Anyway, no TV's, no world cup game on the air.. just like I said a vibe of a cabin in a "romantic movie, where the monsters lurk". And Apologies for some of the iffy pictures, it just didn't feel right using a flash on the camera in such a secluded locale) and like I said, it wasnt' what I was expecting (rowdy British fans watching the local club or something), but there's something about it that even i have to admit, would make this location a nice "date night" or "out with friends' location, more so than just a single person looking for a nightcap. (And Maybe there really is a monster hiding in the fireplace, to keep the "Horror" feel going?? :)

We took the first table available, which happened to be in the middle of the entry way. It was a rather odd placement, but it beat having to wait! Our server was prompt and immediately gave us water and menus. Since it was late, I opted for something light and chose the blackened white fish that came with rice pilaf and veggies. Score for being healthy and fitting my macros without having to substitute. My boyfriend got the hot wings and a gyro salad, while his friend got the chicken kebabs and a salad. Their food came first while mine came later. I sampled a piece of the gyro meat and it was quite tasty but had a taco flavor, which I found odd considering we were at a Greek restaurant! My dish was good. It wasn't that blackened but it was still seasoned well and had great flavor. The vegetables were a bit basic and could have used more seasoning. Aside from that, the dish was a hit and our service was great. I'll for sure be back.
