My husband & I consider it a lucky day when we stopped at Krupp's Upholstery as we had a pair of special chairs... two (2) cherished solid oak 30 yr old mission-style chairs ("thrones" I called them). Still in great shape but w/broken down cushions, well-worn fabric, dull finish to the oak frame, they showed their age, and we needed somebody special to refurbish them. We found him. We brought one chair with us, and as we talked with the owner Mario, we realized he cared about & was fully committed to skilled, quality upholstery. Have you seen his stellar reviews??? His vibe was good, he was easy to talk with, and we saw he is a people person who takes pride in his work. We bartered the second chair for part of his price, happy he got it. About my chair: I found a perfect geometric fabric I loved. We discussed the cushions and their style change, & reasonable pricing. Then the day came, Mario's call. We went to pick up my chair! When we saw it, the magic was back, it looked like new again! The cushions were thick and comfy, and now reversible, thank you Mario. When I sat on it, I was very happy at what a comfortable & stylish difference, feelin' lucky. Mario even renewed the clear finish on the oak frame, now whole chair had regained its "throne" status. I have used this company twice and been very happy with the results! First was to recover 7 dining room chairs with fabric I provided. I didn't realize the first time that they also sell fabric themselves. The second time was to recover a fake leather ottoman. They suggested using a vital instead of replacing the fake leather. Was recommended by a colleague to Krupp's, as my boss needed to reupholster (8) chairs, and might I add, with a 1-week deadline. I didn't think this was possible, but I did my due diligence and called Krupp's. Spoke with the owner, Mario and he was AWESOME to work with. I had the chairs dropped off on a Wednesday, and he had it ready the following Thursday. From start to finish, he was very responsive (better by phone than email, but that was bc he was having internet issues) and worked fast. We brought in some antique cane backed chairs where the seats were awful and the cane was great. The estimate was great. They had some great fabric on hand and I had a choice to pick some out for ordering as well. I chose some on hand fabric and with in a few days they were ready to pick up.
