Prosciutto & Fig up top, Classic Roni down bottom.

Pretty awesome pizza! The prosciutto and fig had lots of arugula and we got some hot honey on the side to drizzle on top. Crust was thin crisp and tasty. Fabulous. The pepperoni looks over baked but was delish. Our daughters loved it. Service was super friendly and attentive. Knowledgeable about the menu and flexible bringing small sides of Parmesan, hot honey, or pepper flakes. Now the ambiance...lovely tin ceiling in main bar area. Nice bar. Then...the chip board/plywood paneling with slats in the side dining room. Like sitting in a lobster trap. Perhaps striving for hip, def different, maybe budget constraints? Really whatever, 'cause the pizza great. So who cares?

Greeted by a super staff every time I come here. Welcoming and happy to see us. The pizzas are unique and delicious. I usually sit next to fire to watch them all cook. Drinks here are on another level! Soooo creative and outstanding.

Love this place! HUGE bourbon/whiskey selection. Great staff/bartenders. Great atmosphere, especially at the bar. Pizza and other food is great! Now they don't always have the rarest bottles but when they do they offer very fair pricing per pour which keeps me coming back.

When you're a pizza place named Krust, you better nail the crust. Krust did that, and more, on my first visit for takeout. We ordered the "Sausage" from the Red Menu, and the Dill, Bacon and Ranch from the White Pizza Menu. I watched both pizzas being cooked in the beautiful, wood-fired pizza oven. I saw the stack of wood, the flames and the pizza being skillfully moved to the different parts of the oven to ensure optimal cooking. I saw the juices pop. The crust bubbles and good char form. The result -- more of a Neapolitan style good chewy crust with great char flavor. The wood makes it . . . you know the rest. I loved the crust on both pizzas. I also loved the Sausage Pizza. In addition to sausage crumbles, the pizza had red peppers, onions, fresh ricotta and a spicy sauce that reminded me of Arrabbiata. Everything about this worked for me -- especially the sauce. It's not everybody else's sauce, which I respect. I often order an oddball pizza like the Dill Bacon Ranch. Thin dill pickle slices. Crumbled bacon. A Ranch Sauce that I believe had a dill component. The pizza was sooo close to great. It was just too salty. If either the pickle or the ranch sauce had been sweeter, I think the flavors would have balanced. Again, the crust was great though. We also ordered the Buffalo wings, which seemed to be baked in the pizza oven, and an Arugula Salad with pickled red onions, parmesan, candied nuts and a lemon Vinaigrette. Liked the salad. Not my favorite wing preparation. I was a big fan of the vibe. I enjoyed a Fiddlehead Imperial IPA while I waited for my pizzas, which were done earlier than the Ordering App predicted. That gave me the chance to look around. Great whiskey and craft beer options. The exposed oven was cool. The outside wood for the restaurant was nicer than you would expect. Wood was also effectively featured inside. Krust is one of the nicer pizza places you will visit. It feels almost like a nice sushi restaurant. In a small state flush with great pizza options, I'll come back to Krust. 4.5 Stars

Loving the vibe of krust. Always a cozy spot for friends to meet and have a night out on Main Street. Great services, great food, great drinks, and never gets old! Wish there was a location closer to Simsbury in our area! Pictures say it all. Huge fan of the pepperoni pies and hanger steak special appetizers.

Krust was on my list for a while but I am rarely in Middletown, so imagine my surprise when I came here for a warehouse party with no food, was hungry and needed to eat. Krust is great for crowds and not too loud so you can carry a conversation but the gem of this place is well, the crust. There's just something about a city's water that makes its baked goods taste amazing, New York, SF...Middletown? Yes, this crust was pillowy and had a satisfying bite that perfectly melded with the vegan cheese we ordered, not burnt to a crisp (looking at you Modern). Though cheesy breads with dairy were ordered, our non vegan companions felt the vegan cheese was better. The white pizza was described as the cheesy bread but with basil, so take that for what it's worth. The drink selection is vast, though the names are cutesy, they were not too watered down. I wish I could have ordered a bourbon flight but there's always next time. The staff is lovely and attentive to allergy requests (thanks Marissa). They have single occupancy restrooms that have graffiti on the walls in that old college town/dive bar way. I highly recommend this place.

Our first visit to Krust and it was great! I love the wooden booths - very unique. Great Moscow mule, just wish it was a copper mug! We had 4 pizzas for 4 people and we all left with some slices to go home and the bill was very reasonable so that was great! Great service too! -Cassie AKA @eatwithcmg on Instagram

We came here on a Wednesday and it was way less busy. We were able to get seated immediately, at any table of our choosing, and it was a nice quiet atmosphere on a Wednesday dinner. Perfect for our date night. I tried the meatball gluten free pie this time and we shared a house salad which was a great idea, the salad we'd delicious.

Great selection of bourbon drinks, good pizzas and nice ambience. My first time at Krust and I enjoyed it. Lite crust wood fire pizzas. The options of red and white pizzas are limited, which is good in a way for you to make your choices. The drinks were the highlights for me and I definitely will try them again.

Went for happy hour and sat in bar. They have a limited food menu but was still good.

Located at the end of a busy street is Krust. From the outside, you wouldn't think much. When you walk in, there is a very rustic, the construction workers didn't finish vibe, but in all the best ways. Visited on a Wednesday night and it was not terrible busy around 6pm. The food was delicious, drinks were good too. Our waitress was wonderful and the bartender would come and refill our water As well. Service was a 10/10. Food was a 9/10. And the drink was a 8/10. My only issue was the fries on my animal pizza needed to be cooked longer. Definitely check this place out!

Decent place for pizza in Middletown, bring a group and split a few pies! I'd say reasonably you could get 2 pizzas for every 3 people in your group. We got a classic 'roni, sausage, plain white, and burger pie. It was more than enough for our group of 5. We also split an artichoke dip, which was small but good. The plain white was actually a crowd pleaser, the sauce was good and balanced out the rest of the pie well. The crust gets a little soggy, and you'd probably need to use utensils if you get a pizza with a bunch of toppings. There's two rooms you can sit in, the one with the bar area and another one to the right that has more seating, is a bit brighter, and is quieter. We opted for the quieter room, which was nice because the music wasn't too loud there.

I had to drive around 3 times to find this place it's not clearly marked. I would have never found it if it wasn't for all the homeless in the area that follow you. The guy asked us if we were looking for Krust and walked us over. Then proceeded to ask us for money. The food was decent but the drinks were the best part. Probably won't frequent due to the homeless population that congregate on the sidewalk. But I would recommend if you are looking for well crafted drinks. The interior is nice and the booths are private.

Over the past 2 years the service & food quality has been in steady decline. My most recent visit was inexcusable and I won't return. We decided to visit for "reverse happy hour" as an alternative from our usual thirsday night visit to Esca. We had Michael for our server and sat upstairs in the lounge. We were brought menus as we were sat and we ordered drinks to start, but weren't sure on food yet. Our server then proceeded to visit our table 4 times over the next 15 minutes to ask if we wanted to place a food order. It felt rushed. The vibe : awkward. The music was so loud I couldn't hear my server, my date or anything else besides the droning voice of Amy Grey. She had no spacial awareness and didn't know when to shut up. Incessantly talking over every song and not realizing that a bar gig is inherently different from the radio. The food : mediocre. We ordered steak frites from the happy hour menu which noted that the steak was "marinated". The 4 piece of tepid steak that came to our table were covered in this cloyingly sweet sauce that tainted the entire dish. Since the steak was served atop the fries, this sauce caused the fries (straight from the Sysco box) to become soggy and absorb the sauce which made the fries not so appetizing. We followed that up with a Cheese Pizza which was pretty good. The pizza here is their saving grace, and this place would do much better as just a slice shop. The drinks : abysmal. I started with a Skittles fruited sour from Transcend Brewery that Sicily had on tap. I was excited because it's rare to find their beer on tap outside of the brewery. It was served in the wrong glass. The F&B manager at Sicily needs to do a better job at making sure the bar is properly serving drinks. Teku glasses are essential for fruited sours. It didn't taste the same as it did in the brewery, however, for $6 I decided to just chalk it up to inexperience. I followed the beer with a Paloma, which was advertised as $5 for happy hour. When I ordered from my server I pointed at the menu showing the tequila listed for $5. As soon as I tasted the drink that was brought to me, i knew it was way off. I asked my server to ask the bartender what was in the drink because it didn't taste right. He told me that the bartender said "grapefruit juice", which is not the proper mixer for a Paloma. A Paloma only has 3 ingredients - Grapefruit Soda (Squirt or Jarritos are acceptable), Tequila & Lime Juice - it's a very simple cocktail. If you didn't have grapefruit soda, which is the main ingredient in the drink, just tell me that... I would have picked something else. The service : Impersonal & rushed. When i sent back the drink, the affect of our server visibly changed, almost as if he was angry or insulted that I would send back a drink that wasn't made properly. He asked if I would like something else, but my confidence in the bartender to make a proper drink had waned and I stuck with water for the rest of the night. My date continued with a 3rd glass of wine. About 10 minutes after this, my date got up to use the restroom, and our server came over and handed me a box for the remaining pizza, without asking if we would like anything else or if my date was done with her wine. He whisked away the half full glass and dropped our check effectively ending our visit. We weren't ready to leave. My date came back to the table and asked where the rest of her drink was and I explained the our server cleared the table and dropped the check. She said "I guess it's time to go". The nail in the coffin was when I picked up the check to see that I was charged for a $16 "Casamigos" cocktail. So i suppose if i had continued to drink the Paloma he would have been happy to charge me $16 for a $5 happy hour drink. The whole experience was off-putting and we didn't feel welcome. It felt as if our server was just trying to turn tables as fast as possible. I won't be returning and recommend others to stay far away.

The crust is thin with a crackery-crunch, the sauce is at a another level and the mozz and roni are high-quality deliciousness! Rendezvous stands tall with any of the well known top-3 pizza joints in New Haven. Dave's score of 9.1 (if you are unaware of the reference, then pizza isn't your thing) is right on point, and I'd go as far as scoring it slightly higher at a 9.2 based on my visit. The building is something out of folklore. The building is all of about 20ft. wide, and when you enter, it is immediate, Steve (owner/chef) is all about the pizza. To be clear, most will consider Rendezvous to be take-out only. There is zero decor, less signs made with cardboard and sharpie notifying you that wait times of hours are real..... so be sure to call ahead. You walk past the most basic seating area of 3-4 small tables with bare walls, and then proceed to walk down an oddly long and narrow sloping hallway which leads you to the service counter/kitchen which houses the 130-year old oven! It's honestly something you could only imagine out of a movie...... the hole in the wall that is creating high-quality, delicious pizzas! Why or how you ask? The answer is simple, Steve! The guy clearly has a passion for making pizza and has dedicated his life to doing so. I met the 'man-the myth-the legend' on my visit, and he kindly even took the time to chat with me. We managed to hit Frank Pepe's and Sally's on our New England summer holiday, and Sally's was easily the best of the two. While the Connecticut style overall didn't entirely meet the massive hype for me, my daughter absolutely loved it--in fact, Sally's was her single best bite of the entire trip! The only reason it's getting 4 stars instead of 5 is that while it was very good, it wasn't earth-shattering, nor did it quite reach the heights of places like L'Industrie in NYC. We ordered the burrata pizza, half pepperoni. The sauce was packed with flavor, the burrata is always a total hit, and the pepperoni cupped perfectly to hold all those rich, flavorful oils. The crust was great--charred beautifully on the edges but a little moist and wiggly in the middle, heavily reminding me of Da Michele in Napoli.
