Ive been a client at the seattle location for a few years. I absolutely love it. The staff is happy and welcoming. Its easy to make appts because of how easy it is to commuicate with them by easy personal texts. The injectors are top notch! The PA there (sorry I cant remember his name) is an absolute pro. He explains recommendations with experience backed by well versed knowledge. The nurse injector is the sweetest ever. Shes soft, kindly conservative and a great conversationalist! All of the staff is wonderful, but my favorite person there is Deana. I beleive she is probably on the admin/sales/management team. She always greets people with a fun spirit, sends personal text updates about your account and available appts. Deana is the charm and organization that puts the cherry on top of a wonderful service. Avoid this place at all costs - I reported them to the Washington State Cosmetology Board for their absurd behavior and lack of safe practices. After a Sculptra laser treatment, I was told it was safe to return 11 days later for a HydraFacial. During that visit, the esthetician upsold me on a 20% salicylic acid peel and red light therapy. The moment it was applied, my face started burning intensely and had to be neutralized multiple times. Despite being told peeling wouldn't happen, my skin peeled badly and I was left with visible burn marks and discoloration. A dermatologist later confirmed that combining these treatments so close together is not considered safe (even a quick google search or chatgpt search will say its UNSAFE) When I asked for a refund on my remaining balance (I was sold a laser/hydrafacial package), the clinic refused to consider it unless I came back to be evaluated by their dermatologist -- after they already injured me. They stalled, passed the issue around, and took zero accountability. They're happy to upsell aggressive treatments, but when something goes wrong, you're on your own. Protect your face and go elsewhere. I still have multiple treatments outstanding that I already paid for that I will not be getting. read more

I had a very bad experience and should have listened to my intuition - happy to answer more questions as I had to reach out to Better Business Bureau. It is quite interesting after my complaint, their website specifically says "semaglutide". I was charged $700 for TIRZEPATIDE and then was told repeatedly to wait 7-14 days for the compounded Tirzepatide to arrive - shocker, I called 15 days later and I had to be aggressive to get ahold of someone - I asked for a refund immediately, as they didnt "know where my order was". I asked how they were able to get compounded Tirzepatide after the FDA has tightened up on regulations and they assured me they were able to. Simple questions about the compounded lab were met with "why don't you trust us?". Well, because I gave you my money over the phone and you're avoiding simple questions. Now their site says specifically semaglutide. do not give this place your business. Any questions are met with "WHY DO YOU HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS". Greedy and a shame, I hope the FDA cracks down or they face repercussions. read more

I was sold a tattoo removal package over the phone, but when I arrived for my appointment, I was handed a bag of ice to numb my lip. During my appointment, Lauren gave my tattoo three zaps, which were incredibly painful. After that, I was quickly ushered out and told that only their ointment would help heal my tattoo. I am very unhappy with their services and was informed that they do not offer refunds. Additionally, I was bombarded with phone calls from their office trying to sell me more packages, and I eventually had to block their number. This was especially for a spa of any kind anything but and feel is characterized by false advertising and unethical business practices. When I walked in randomly to the Seattle location in the summer of 2025, I was hoping to inquire on pricing to decide if I was interested in laser hair removal versus electrolisis. While I had heard electrolisis was permanent, they did not offer that service but maintained that laser provided the same result in hopes I would schedule. This I since learned is not true as laser treatments are not permanent. I provided my information to their in my opinion aggressive sales team who proceeded to text multiple times a day to follow up to make sure I was interested to schedule me a time to come in to pay. While working in litigation I kept long hours and could not come into the office so they asked me to pay over the phone. At the time, I thought while they were running some kind of special, I could be refunded if the service turned out to be not what I was looking for. I put down two transactions of $450 for just under 1,000 smackers which I found out was for 3 treatments in this "special" and was not warned it was non-refundable under any circumstance including office error, which happened three times atleast in addition to rude and suddenly unavailable staff that were the "only staff" to be able to assist errors, the opposite of the constant text and calls to get my funds at first. Upon finally having time months later for a first service-during the service, the practitioner seemed fine but was clearly in a rush as she stated they were very booked at the holidays (then maybe the predatory sales team could handle that complaint vs. me as the customer?). Nonetheless I had previously contacted the company when I found out earlier they wanted another 1,000 as part of the special they initially sold me on. At the time this was not even something come to find out that was permanent so instead asked for my money back instead of being out an additional 1,000 on something I had no knowledge of to vouch for that. The staff member said that would be no problem, never mentioned it was their policy to never refund no matter what the circumstance and instead said let me talk to the person who sold you this-(commission reasons likely) to see if we can work something out special for you instead. The spevial thing was just that I get less services and they keep my money just don't require more. Not having time to address further, I relented, they said they would notate the account. Upon my first treatment months later, thinking they were running my card for a small tip, they instead ran it for the 1,000 they already understood I did nit want to pay. Then when that did not go through (it was an HSA card with only funds on it for that month, of which 67 was left at that point. When the 1,000 did not process I said, why would you run 1,000? Without telling me, they then ran the 67 left on the card. I was told it would be refunded but after I already informed them per out numerous conversations I did not intend to pay another 1,000 for something (I felt was pretty much falsely advertised that I wanted to spend on anything else). They then ran more (67) without acknowledging they did this, so I was aware the 1,000 would technically not go through, but was nit aware they had later run an amount that was available which did not show up on my card as being reversed when I called about this. I was upset and the customer service received was very defensive and accusatory. I had a follow up appointment which after sitting with, decided to cancel and book at a different office with the company that was more respectful about interactions and the situation since I was told upon their running my card without being up front about it or what had truly been done, upon which I was told they do not refund money regardless. I feel that alone is illegal. When I ultimately cancrled the Seattle Office remsining appointment/s it was three days prior and was completed over the phone with a live person both the company and I have a call log and was told when the appointment was in fact not cancelled resulting in a late fee, upon calling for an explanation, was told a Deanna, office admin would contact me with the call log and explanation but that I would not be charged due to the error. Deanna then contacted me later that while I had been charged she had reversed it for me (it was their fault) never addressed the call log or my other subsequent texts asking why I was told there would not be a charge for an office error supplying the call log info on my end proving this call and that it was a female voice and what we spoke about, in addition to a new appointment they had unilaterally subsequently booked on their own, which per the email (how I was notified of this new error) also had a fee from my credit they would still not address their clearly illegal behavior of fraud at this point. I have been getting a half sleeve removed at Kucumber Skin Lounge over the last year. They gave me a great package deal that I'm very pleased with. Their pricing is very reasonable. Let me tell you though - tattoo removal is not a fun experience. I have a large area to remove and sessions can take 45 minutes. It's not fun. However my technician, Vanessa, is an absolute saint and makes the whole experience significantly easier to bear. She is kind, comforting and understanding. She makes sure I get plenty of breaks and that I always have a cold ice pack. Seriously, Vanessa rocks. I've gotten the hydrafacial, and I bought packages for the laser hair removal. Hydrafacial: I met with Cindy 2x's -- and each time I've been super happy. When I walk out, my skin is looking very glowy and plump. I do the deluxe package with the upgrade for $75. I'm doing the subscription for the hydrafacial. If you're on the fence, I recommend it. Laser hair removal: I'm not sure what ALL the negative reviews are. I did 1 removal, and I see a SIGNIFICANT REDUCTION already. Like a noticeable improvement. The receptionist will tell you I was totally on the fence after I read the negative reviews. I'm here to tell you, that I went ahead today and bought another full package for legs. I have olive-tone skin (lighter side since I don't tan at all) with dark brown hair if that helps. Cindy did my treatment, and she was such a saint and patient. She was super kind and professional. If you're going, she's really a wonderful person. As a side note: I've been doing hair removal for over a decade and have been super keen on my skincare for over 12 years. I know exactly what to look for. I'm really happy with my results-- I don't say this lightly. I will update this post as the months go on. So many bad experiences here... Had Botox there a few days ago. Asked for a lip flip as I've had there previously and the man doing the injections completely ignored my request and injected on the side of my mouth instead. So I completely wasted my money and now feel like I can't even talk normally. They are super nice when trying to get you to buy their services for the first time and then once they get the sale, they treat you as an inconvenience. Even worse, if you don't buy the products they suggest, they will be downright mean to you. Also be careful not to ever complain about anything (such as a rushed appointment or poor delivery of Botox) or they will go well out of their way to make the customer out to be the problem. They have super passive aggressive front desk staff too. The only courteous person there is Dina. The worst was when they completely messed up my lip injections right before my wedding. I ended up with a joker smile such that they had to them remove the filler. I had scar tissue knots on my lips for an entire year afterwards. And they wouldn't even refund the $500 I paid for it or even part of that. Do yourself a favor and go to Larabee Center instead. I have been going to Kucumber Skin Lounge for a laser removal. They stated it would take about 8 sessions and I am 6 in and feel they gave me an accurate assessment. I was referred to them by a friend that had done treatment there in the past, after I was talking to them about my displeasure with the place I initially went to closer to my home in Gig Harbor. From the appointment with their medical director Dr. Brasier I knew I had picked the right place the Dr went over everything with me prior to sending me off with the staff and was able to answer questions the last place I went to didn't. The whole staff is easy to work with. I often times call a day or two before to let them know I am going to be in the area and see if they have a ~20 minute spot to perform the needed services and they have been able to get me in on my schedule each time. I had a brazilian laser hair removal treatment done by Rubye and am an extremely satisfied customer! More than 95% of my hair isn't growing back at all and Rubye makes the appointments quick, easy and very comfortable. I have had laser hair removal with other types of lasers and the one she used actually hurt significantly less than those that I've experienced previously. To me, the laser hurts less than a wax. In my opinion, laser is absolutely worth the cost! Considering waxes are $70+ and you have to get them every 6ish weeks, this will actually save me money in the long run. Worst experience of my entire life. I am a nurse and a mother. I came in here for a lasering deal on my eyebrows. $300 for six sessions. I come in for my first session and I'm talked into lip filler with " the best doctor for lip filler". Mind you, my lips are already full and I simply wanted to even them out on one side. I told her to please even them out a little on one side and use the rest of the syringe on my nasolabial folds. Instead, the doctor put the entire syringe into my lips. Not only did she put the entire syringe into my lips, but she botched it and created a superficial blister. I knew immediately what had occurred as I am a nurse, and anyone could tell something was very wrong. One side looked completely different. Pictures will be attached for reference. They told me I had to wait for it to settle for 2 weeks which is almost unbearable going into work and dealing with people who know clearly what occurred by the look of your lips. Once it's settled after 2 weeks I called and they made me wait two more weeks for an appointment. So within that time frame I went and got it dissolved elsewhere. The blister completely is gone now. Unfortunately I had bought the bundle package for the lasering you had to continue going in. I recently missed one of the appointments for the lasering as they are very far apart and I have a busy life as we all do so. I texted to let them know I had accidentally missed the appointment and they had the audacity to ask me for $65 after I'd already spent over a thousand on services that needed to be completely reversed anyways. I now have a scar because of this place. Like many I got the hair removeal groupon for my lower legs. The "consultation" with their dr. was insulting. He suggested I needed botox and an eye lift- when I only wanted to never shave my legs again. He admitted that their groupon was a bad idea because they were losing money (which was why he wanted me to have Botox). I went to 4 of the six sessions- not only did I NOT see any results in hair removel (I have agroupon for hair removal at another place in town - which IS working, so I know the difference), BUT it is EXETREMELY painful (more so than the other place). On the second visit they burned me so badly on my shin with the laser, that I now have a very visible scar on my leg. Thye offered on the 3rd visit to give me a free chemical peel if it didn't go away by the 4th visit....ummm no, please don't touch me anymore. Thanks! The place I am going to that DOES work told me that there is a HUGE difference in hair removal machines- you can either get the Yugo or the ferarri...Kucumber has the Yugo. Yep! I am another one of the Kucumber Groupon suckers. Here's why I deserve the sucker crown: after the promised treatment didn't work, I even decided to pay lots more money to buy more sessions. Guess what? It still doesn't work, more sessions later. And I have 3 more occassions I have to endure of being treated shabbily by the front desk before I am done utilizing the sessions I have paid for. If I could get my money back, I would never go back! The promise of a low maintenance life was enticing when I bought the groupon, but clearly all laser treatments are not the same, and Kucumber is bottom of the pile. The only good thing about this place is the cheap Groupon. But you will learn, after you buy it, that you STILL overpaid. The aestheticians seem to be fine people, but whatever technology is being used is pretty ineffective, and the front staff thinks that your time is worth nothing. I have always had to wait, for fairly long times, but if I was ever even a few minutes late, I was told I should be grateful they will consider accommodating me. Just made me wonder if they are so on time that 5-10 min are precious, why is it that I have to wait all the time? I had a less than positive experience here. I walked in and they greeted me like they knew me, but then 20 minutes later when I still hadn't been helped and told them so at the counter, I began the paper work. I didn't get started until 30minutes after my appointment started for my brazilian. Then, it took an hour for my wax. I've been several places in Seattle in varying degrees of cost and locationg, and it's never taken an hour to get a full brazilian wax. Ever. I was not impressed, either that the wax lady wasn't going to do some of my nether regions until I asked as well. And she didn't even pull out the tweezers, which ALL places I've been to before in the past have done. When I got home and inspected my business, it was not complete. I was not happy. I also wasn't impressed with the facility in any way. I was skeptical walking into this place because of the reviews I had read prior to making my appointment. My husband bought me a few GC's for Christmas for Kucumber because I really really REALLY needed to find someone to help me with my.....shall we say.....major skin issues. None the less, I had these prepaid Gift Certificates and HAD to use them here. So walking in I was skeptical these girls were nice and the experience would be helpful because I was at my breaking point with my skin and the reviews were less than kind. Walking in- I was warmly greeted. And not in that "we have to say hello and offer you water or something" kind of way. A true genuine greeting. After filling out some paperwork, Oksana met with me for my consultation. She was so knowledgeable and comforting AND she got right to the point. She brought in Shaysim to help me figure out what I needed to do to get my skin looking something human like once again. Again, cool chick. Got right to the point and did it without making me feel like an alien. She told me just what was going on and how to make it better. It seriously made me want to cry. Someone who can help, who actually cared. Weird. So THIS is where customer service escaped to all these years...it's been hiding at Kucumber Skin Lounge. I bought a package that may break the bank a little but it's sure to help me in the long run be more confident, feel good and look great. I have been going to Kucumber Skin Lounge since it opened. I am not affiliated with them in any way, other than I am a satisfied customer. Kucumber has consistently provided me with excellent care, good advice, and polite help. Their estheticians are top notch, and give me a facial every month. I have very sensitive skin, and it has never looked better thanks to them. Due to the excellent results I have had, and the care they take with their clients, I am upgrading my review to five stars. I also had laser hair removal. They have good prices on hair removal. The person who runs the machine is experienced. She is super sweet, and was upfront with me about the pinch I felt during the hair removal process (which is normal). I appreciated knowing what to expect. They are very honest, as well. I lost my necklace the other night in one of the rooms. They were so sad that I couldn't find my necklace, and searched for it. It turned up after I left, and they gave me a call right away. In fact, they left TWO phone messages for me to make sure I knew they found it. My dad gave me that necklace, so it meant a lot to me. I appreciated their help so much. All in all, I don't understand what the negative reviews are about. Yelp has seemed to filter out a lot of good reviews, so I am guessing there are some shenanigans going on with competitors. I interact with many of the staff at this location and they are professionals at what they do. When the afternoons are sometimes busy, Victoria never rushes to finish up my treatments like some other medical spas I've frequented do. I'm never been left in the waiting room for more than a few minutes even when I arrive early. I'm not new to the medical spa scene and have purchased various treatments in LA and Canada, nevertheless, I've experienced the greatest most observable results at the Kucumber Skin Lounge in Seattle. Victoria, you've been awesome and I've enjoyed our many chats over the last 8 months. I've learned a lot from asking you a hundred questions about the efficacy of various treatments offered at KSL, our discussions have inspired me to try new treatments that work. I know it sounds cliche but my friends and family continue to comment about how youthful looking and elegant they observe me to be. Some of my favorite treatments for which I and others that know me have noticed real results are: skin tightening, Coolsculpting, 1540 laser, and radiesse (injected on the cheek bone for sculpted look). This company is inflexible and does not put customer services first. I purchased a package and then moved out of state unexpectedly before I could use the entirety of it as my treatments had to be spaced out. Now, every time I am back in town they do not have availability and insist that I need to schedule appointments 8 weeks in advance. They will not refund my money. They will not transfer the money to products that I want. I have been having the same struggle with them for over a year and they REFUSE to budge or work with me every time I am back in Seattle. They have horrible policies and your satisfaction is not their first priority. In addition to this, there are some aspects of the salon that leave me feeling vaguely icky - like the fact that many of the towels they use during services are so worn that they are more grey than white and most of them are threadbare to the point of having holes in them. I have refrained from writing a bad review for the whole year, thinking that maybe they would treat me better. But they have not. read more

This was the worst "personal beauty" appointment I have ever had. I showed up 10 mins early as requested for paperwork and waited for THIRTY MINUTES to be seen. They brought me back into a room that looked unfinished, and immediately started with the high pressure sales (the girl conducting the appointment didnt "have the numbers memorized so she called in the manager). The manager was pushy and condescending to say the least. The supposed "bikini line lasering" was poorly done (we are talking a half inch wide swath about 5" long on each side, and even THAT was patchy work). Even if that appt had been free it would have been a loss considering the way they wasted my time (between rescheduling on me once, making me wait 30 mins and the dirve down and the appt itself). I like coming to Kucumber. I think the front desk staff are friendly and funny and my service usually gets done with not a lot of wait time. I'm getting some hair lasered off - I've had laser before so I know what to expect in terms of results and Kucumber's service is meeting my expectations just fine. Only three stars - which remember, means "A-OK" - because there are two things that don't work in their favor. First, parking and traffic suck. Be aware that there's only downtown Seattle street parking. Between parking and traffic I usually spend at least three times as much time traveling to and from the appointment as I spend there. The second issue is that I can't recommend their botox treatment. I've had numerous botox treatments with different providers over the last 10 years. I bought units there because they offered me a tremendous price on them and I bought enough for three treatments of what I normally use. The results were feeble all three times. After the third time I talked to a few people at the desk about it and let them know. I feel like they took my concerns seriously. They also offered to sell me more botox at a good price but why would I do that when, IMHO, the issue is with the administration of the product? At other places, they have me frown and look at the contour of my muscles and seem to thoughtfully administer the product based on what they see. This dude just plunges it into your head. UPDATE: seeing this review, they offered to make my experience better by allowing me to tan in their highest level bed instead. I enjoy the experience, but it just seems so ODD that the other bed was never repaired. I'm going to call soon, and if that bed has since been addressed, I might commit to another 6 months of tanning. We'll see! I only have a tanning package, so I can't comment on other services. 2 bulbs have been out on the tanning bed for months now. I've brought this to the attention of the management several times, and they're always vague about why it isn't fixed. Today, before my tanning minutes were up, I wanted to end my session. I couldnt get the bed to turn off, even though I was pressing the off button. It was distressing, so I just climbed out. The door to the tanning room doesn't seem to lock correctly. Though I've been careful, I've ending my tanning session to find it WIDE OPEN on 2 occasions. Creepy. I just started reading about some alleged scam, but haven't confirmed that these are the same people. Just to be safe, I'll be paying for my package with cash from here on out. Probably will cancel when the 6 month commitment is up. Staff is typically very friendly, though. They remember my name, etc...but I just can't take a chance. Like many others who've reviewed Kucumber, I found the overall experience very lacking. I also purchased the laser hair removal Groupon, and I will be looking to finish up my treatments elsewhere. Thank God I did my research & had talked to friends about what I was getting into. The "doctor's consultation" was a joke (it was incredibly brief, he gave me very little info, and he sounded like he was slurring his words). For my six treatments, I was worked on by about five different aestheticians, and only one took the time to ask me detailed questions about my previous treatment and how I'd been responding to it. One of them did take a moment to listen to the fact that I didn't feel like new hairs were coming out and changed up my weeks-between-treatments timeframe, but then she jacked the laser level up so high that I jumped in my chair and now have a little scar under my nose. The front desk staff is absolutely unwelcoming most of the time; they act as if their clients are a burden they're saddled with. In general, I'm unhappy with how much hair is still remaining (that, of course, is partially my genetics), and I disliked the vast majority of the employees there. I won't be returning. read more

I have waited a long time to write this review. A. Really. Long. Time. Let's get serious. I purchased a deal from..maybe LivingSocial (?) I can't remember which one off of the top of my head. Whatever, that doesn't matter. I bought a deal for $99 which included 6 treatments of a "small" area. As much as I would not like to announce that I had some facial hair lasered off, I guess there is no way around admitting it. I know, sexy, huh? Honestly, I was really afraid to come in for my consultation because of all the yelp reviews they had. They were/are not great. I put off my consultation for almost a year. That's how much of a wimp I am. Especially when it comes to lasers. I finally got the guts to get the consultation, and was still hesitant because it was fast and uninformative. That made me nervous. I'm also guilty of not asking enough questions, especially when I'm nervous and rushed. One drawback to getting lasered is you cannot do it within 14 days of taking antibiotics. Every time I made an appointment I found myself having to cancel and postpone because my fancy immune system is a piece of poo. I have never had anybody be rude, mean, snobby or any other negative attitude towards me. The staff was always polite and accommodating. When I was finally able to make my first appointment, the technician was kind and explained the process to ease my tension. I really did make a big deal out of nothing. She even did a test run on my hand so I could see that it didn't hurt. With that being said, I lucked out and had my first appointment on the less painful of the 2 lasers. I asked her about the more painful one, and she agreed it did hurt (or hurt more if you're a wuss, too) and all I had to do was request the Palmar (I think that is what it was called). Only once out of my 6 did they accidentally give me the "painful" laser, but the tech was very helpful and consoling during the process. In retrospect, it was not bad at all. Sure, my eyes watered. But it was like 2 minutes of pain. I survived. The more painful laser is more effective, according to them. So, I try to do off and on. After my final treatment, the tech suggested I do 1 or 2 more sessions and the front desk matched my original deal. I received 6 treatments more for $99 and according to them, any I don't use will never expire. I recommend Kucumber. I'm glad I finally manned-up and gave it a try. read more
