SBE were really easygoing when we asked to make a few tweaks to the appetizer menu, changed the size of the wedding cake (and then changed it back), and inquired about rentals. It all went very smoothly. Expectations and rules were clearly laid out in the venue contract regarding costs, service, vendors, rentals and food. We had one surprise with the admin fees on the bar tab the night of the wedding but the service was so excellent we didn't worry about it. The venue is gorgeous! It's right on the beach but the ceremony takes place on grass, which was helpful for our guests. It has a lovely path along the side garden that we used as the wedding entrance. The house is quite large and allowed for dinner in air conditioning. They even had the AC cranked up in the bride room for getting ready. We got A LOT of compliments from our guests (and vendors) on the food. I had at least one guest compliment that they loved each appetizer and each entree. The restaurant has been closed for a while. There were no thermostats in the rooms, at night it gets pretty hot with the doors closed and no way to cool off, even with the fan. I couldn't sleep well the 4 nights we stayed. That's the only reason for the 3 star rating. The walls are soundproof, the windows are not. The locals cruise the Main Street at night with their music, hooting and having fun- I didn't mind, but if you're a light sleeper.

We had decided 6 days before to elope during a planned trip to Maui and she responded to my inquiry quickly and got the ball rolling right away by sending us package information, sample vows, expectations about deposit, ceremony, and options. She also was able to coordinate special leis (the best fragrance I've ever smelled) and musician last minute. She required a lower deposit (with the remainder due day of) than some of the other officiants that responded (which was so nice when trying to get deposits in all at once last minute) and has PayPal for easy payment! Her package was slightly more expensive than some others ($50-$100) but her timeliness, knowledge, presence, and approach to the service was so wonderful that it was worth every extra penny! Rev. Chanti was not only timely, but early (which helped us be stress free on our day!) and she is so warm and easy to work with - she truly made our day even more perfect! We highly recommend her! Mahalo! Also: *expect to pay a little more for mileage if you're in West Maui - but it's worth it! *we would skip the musician if we did it over - he was very nice, and talented, but only played a few songs so we didn't see the value of having him given what he charged.

**Easy booking, but a confusing and rushed ceremony experience**…read more I did quite a bit of research to find a company that was perfect for an intimate, 2-person 10-year wedding vow renewal, and I chose Aloha Fun Weddings. The initial booking process online was seamless. I received an email confirmation immediately, followed by a helpful payment reminder close to our ceremony date. Once the balance was paid, they provided clear details regarding who would be performing our service. However, things became confusing and stressful on the day of the ceremony. Rev. Paul texted me to introduce himself and informed us that our chosen location was experiencing high tide. He recommended an alternative beach nearby instead. We arrived at the new location and texted him to let him know we were there, only to find out he had shown up at our original site. Because of this mix-up, we felt incredibly rushed through our sunset ceremony because the sun was already disappearing. Additionally, there was a misunderstanding regarding pricing. I was under the impression that the minister's fee was separate, so we brought large cash bills to pay him directly. We then found out his fee was already included in our package price. Unfortunately, since there was no other option and we already had the cash out, we ended up giving a much larger tip than we had originally intended. While the administrative process was great, the execution on the actual day left us feeling rushed during what should have been a relaxed milestone celebration.

The carpet needs a full shampoo as do all the furniture seat cushions. Both sides. All chairs. The oven doesn't work but the burners do, they just don't sit flat but do smoke when turned on. I needed to bake a dinner , so big problem. So begins the problem. That alone is a deal breaker. Photo for bedroom not current. Bed rearranged to lean against on wall for support. The bedroom is now set up so you can only get in on one side. One corner leg is broken off the frame. The bedroom tv now faces the formica sink with the big cigarette burn. So not usable to watch. The cubboards and closets are full of old left behind gear, umbrellas, toys and water bottles. The other closet door is on a slide and stuck. Full of extra wall pictures , a fan, a Lamp and a ladder. The very dated bamboo tables under glass tops look like they never have been wiped down. So a layer of dirt on your finger is the test. Only One smoke alarm and no posted taxation certificate so it may not have a STR certificate at all. The answer, move. After a couple phone calls and texts we agreed to pay for the first night. We had no choice. So a 210.00 night with fees for accidental damage , cleaning, air bnb fee, taxes to county, it turned into a 750.00 one night stay. That charge is for a perfect apartment and 1/2 the kitchen was unusable and the refrigerator ran all night. So, very far from what was charged. An Expensive lesson but no way to know till you arrive. My other nine days were refunded with an apology. Because they had no alternate stay to offer and the condition and unusable oven. We Booked another $4K stay in Kihei and asked for a refund for this joint. I let the after 5 pm night operator know an hour after i opened the door. This has never happened in many years of travel. The issue was not corrected, nobody showed up, texted or called. They claim there was no issues instead of apologizing they say they have nothing to apologize for. I have screen shots of the calls and concerns and I experienced a significant insect infestation in the room that affected my sleep and comfort on the last day and the ac wasn't even working. Their dirty sofa had something that bit me 20 minutes after I sat down. They replaced my room after I had a panic attack....The replacement room was clearly in MUCH better condition, which confirms the original room had issues. The guy STEVE said that clearly I was the one with the issues for not calling them all week since... he REFUSED to help. I was able to put my screen door up but I told them it was still broken. I would leave daily to enjoy the island sometimes out for over 10 hours so by the time I came back their office had closed. The maintenance guy told me they all knew about the stench and odors in the room and the wetness that attracted the insects but they still put me in there. I think it's a racial thing because I saw the other guests and they clearly had better rooms!! I would leave ZERO stars if I could because they refuse to apologize and take accountability. This is beyond disgusting and my friend found MOLD actual mold in his pillows where he is staying he has a baby and he also got bug bites. DISGUSTING and unprofessional they ruined my vacation. I am going to make a big deal now because they REFUSED ANY ACCOUNTABILITY not even a breakfast in the house. They ruined our last moment in Maui. Horrible customer service horrible experience to say the least!!!! AWFUL!!!! I spent 3 HOURS cleaning and spent a lot of money to buy supplies he didn't reimburse and I also told him the floors were so dusty my feet turned black. Screen door never was fixed and the bugs came in and I think sofa had bed bugs because I was bit right when I sat down. DISGUSTING!!!! There's also roaches! I stayed in A306... my friend stayed in 511 his pillow had mold we have photos. The room smelled so horrible I had to call health department because it smells like dead carcass. The maintenance guy sprayed the entire room with bug spray and my aunt got intoxicated nauseated and dizzy. It's not until I called health department that they actually apologized but by then the damage has been done. Again, the other reviews are probably fake I am a real person and this is an actual factual review.
