SPICY BRISKET JJAMPPONG It's a spicy dish, but since spice levels vary from place to place--and being Mexican, I'm used to spicy food--I didn't want to take any chances, so I ordered it medium spicy. They hit the nail on the head! It was absolute perfection. The broth was rich, thick, and packed with flavor--delightful in every single way. The portion size is so generous that it will easily cover two meals, and I'm sharing some with my husband. It came with four sides (banchan), including kimchi, and I can honestly say it's the best kimchi I've ever had in my life--and I've tried Korean food both in Mexico and here in the U.S. I first visited this restaurant in Tenafly over a year ago when I believe they were just starting out. Back then, I met a woman who I believe is the owner. I am so glad to see they still maintain that same phenomenal quality! We ordered Fried Shrimp in garlic sauce ($29.99) and we could taste too much of soy sauce in the dressing. Quite a small quantity for this price too. My usual go to place is Tae Myung Guan in Palisades Park, and Ah Woo Rang for a large groups also at Palisades Park.
