This is a house) the lights in the entrance were all dark. We rang the Ring doorbell several times and tried calling the office "24/7" number several times. Eventually another guest came out and told us everything is unlocked and the code is in the room! Meaning anyone can walk in and if they have the code open the doors to your room. So we walked in the room. Found the code. Tried the door and decided it was late and maybe we should at least spend the one night we paid for already. While I was unloading the car my husband pulled the bedspread back to sit on the bed. When he did the sheets and a quilted mattress cover showed yellow stains that looked like someone had urinated on the mattress! He came outside to tell me we were not staying here and to pack the truck back up. I brought our belongings back out to our vehicle and went back in the room to take photographs and video of the condition of the room. The other side of the bed was even worse than what my husband found! The lights in the bathroom were all out. Three switches and only 1 light bulb turned on. The glass shower doors in the photos were gone and replaced with a shower curtain. And the exterior glass door only had a sheer curtain over it, meaning anyone could look directly in the room from outside. My husband immediately wrote an email to the customer service email with our booking confirmation information to tell them we were not staying and the room was in horrible condition. Unknown to us, as we never signed the rental agreement, two days later they charged our deposit card the full amount of the stay. When we called the number during the day we were told by the man answering the phone that they had time stamped photos and video of us in the room pulling back the covers. This means they have cameras in the room!! I had shut the door behind me! He then told me I had to email the booking email (which we had already done) to request a refund. They will not respond. Three emails and multiple phone calls.
