Absolutely OUTSTANDING FOOD! Please do yourself a favor and come and check this out! The menu changes weekly and it's posted online so you can look ahead at the choices. My favorite thing about Chef Jeshua is that his menu is always changing. He is absolutely incredibly talented with his food and the flavors and combinations are divine. Coming to the valley from NYC, I've found it difficult to find many good spots that don't serve the same old things. When I came across an article about him and his food, I knew that not only would I have to try it, but that I needed to alert my foodie friends. This food is the real deal and VERY special. I tried the falafel and LOVED it. Especially the level of heat. So good!

Oh my yum!! My drive out to the town of Coachella and in particular their food truck park that's open on Sunday's was absolutely worth it. I wish I could convey the amazing aroma of it all ... deliciousness!! The Kuma Catering cart held my attention, and I opted for a super tasty and unusual grilled cheese. Full disclosure... I ordered two actually. I couldn't make up my mind which to get and figured this way I could have half of two and save the other two halves for dinner or lunch tomorrow. My two halves were: 1. Bacon, honey crisp apple, caramelized onions, sharp cheddar, all grilled to absolute tasty perfection on rustic sourdough; 2. Lamb fennel sausage, peppers and onions, mozzarella, basil, also cooked to deliciousness in rustic sourdough. A giant shout out to Jeshua "Kuma" Garza, for his creative mastery on making what could otherwise be a basic grilled cheese into a gastronomic delight. Bravo!

I gotta say, I have been an out of town fan of Coachella Valley Brewing for a while, and now seeing what Chef Garza has brought to the proverbial table, this place is going to the next level fast. The menu on the day we visited has some great options such the chicken sandwich, burgers and the amazing fries. Pretty straight forward bar food right? Yes and No. Chef Garza elevated the offerings with aspects such as fried rosemary and curry aioli with the fries. The chicken sandwich was a home run with chicken that was amazingly tender and a slaw mixture that balanced the sandwich perfectly. But you may be asking...these are all pretty solid 4 star results? Yep, that coveted fifth star was tacked on there by getting to watch the owner operator work the room making sure people were enjoying the food and by the way he interacted with myself and my 9year old daughter. Most young children are a hindrance at best in a brewery tasting room, I will admit. But my kiddo I will admit is pretty accustomed to these types of surroundings.Well she flagged down Chef Garza to place an order before I knew we were even hungry :). Chef Garza addressed my daughter directly, answered her questions politely and honestly and even brought forth a few suggestions catering to her (see what I did there) as a kid, such as cutting the sandwich in half and bringing ketchup in case she wasn't a fan of curry. A 5 star experience all around and I am now looking forward more than ever at getting back here. Cheers!

This is the Ramen Dog featured on this week's menu. Definitely not your typical, boring dog. This was great.

What a great concept. After reading about Kuma for a couple of weeks, we finally gave it a try. This week's menu was all about hot dogs. I'm not talking about your boring style dogs though. My wife ordered the Shawarma Dog and I got a Ramen Dog. Each was cooked to perfection and had a unique and awesome flavor profile. We are looking forward to future menus and will definitely be returning.

You never quite know when Kuma will appear but when they do, you better bring your appetite (and your cash)! Chef Jeshua is the master of blending fresh ingredients and amazing flavors in a unique way. Follow on Instagram to see their upcoming menu and schedule. You won't want to miss it.

The absolute best and most unique place to eat in the Coachella valley. Chef jeshua Garza is talented and fearless with his menu.

I've seen places that supposedly offered it but I get there, it's a whole different concept of it. Well, I may have found one that's worth it. Plus a lot of places do close early on Tuesday's and Wednesday. Also not open those days as they tend to be more mellows. Anyway, we found this place last minute. It's part of a strip mall with a few other Mexican restaurants surrounding it. Once inside, there's a bar to the left right by the door when you walk in. Restaurant is to the right where the main seating area is. There's also a back area but it was utilize for a private party that night. At first we were kind of iffy as there was barely anyone there but since we were here already it was a go. The waitress was quite friendly and very sweet. Throughout the while dining experience, they constantly checked up on us to see how the food was and if we needed anything else. Made sure we were taken cared of and enjoyed our experience. Then comes the menu, quite a lot of dishes that you would typically get at a Mexican restaurant and some that seem to be new. The birria ramen which lately have been seeing at loads of Mexican restaurant. Of course as it was Tuesday, we came for the tacos. Before you walked in, there's a board that says tacos Tuesday, 4 tacos for 10.00. Thats a deal that's worth it. Either chicken, al pastor, chorizo and buche. Of course that was needed. We wasn't quite sure what buche was so opted out from that. Started off with a cold beer as they have draft and price was quite nice. 2 order of the tacos, one with 2 chicken and 2 al pastor while the other was 2 al pastor, 1 chorizo and 1 chicken. When the dish came out, it was well plated. You usually see just the tacos alone but it was plated with slices of cucumber, radish, grilled onions and grilled chili peppers. Quite nice. And of course I had to try their birra ramen. Seems lately that Mexicans restaurant are incorporating that dish to their menu. I'm also on the hunt for the best...lol... This dish too was quite tasty. Pretty decent bowl full of broth and loads of meat. Served with a side of onions and cilantro and lime slices. The color was nice. Had a dish a while back where the color of the broth was pretty light and watery. This place was nice. The tacos were very tasty both the chicken and al pastor which also had slices of pineapple added. Chicken was flavorful and chorizo was goods. Onions and cilantro also added but asked beforehand if we wanted them. Beforehand, three different salsa was brought out, spicy medium and mild. Wow, both the spicy (red) and medium (green) were delicious. The right amount of spicy and perfect for the tacos. Food was delicious both the ramen and tacos. It's with the 10.00 for the four tacos and birria ramen was tasty and delicious. Worth it. Glad that we found this place. And the staff, all very sweet and very friendly. Attentive and made sure that we were well taken care of. Didn't have room for dessert but will definitely be back. We got seated at one of the booth which literally looked a lot to the men's restroom. It was fine but not a thing you want to see while eating.

The dinner, including the wait, ended up 3.5 hours long. It was just way too much. And no apologies. In my opinion, if you make people wait an hour, you comp a drink, send a free appetizer, literally anything. Not an oh well moment. This is definitely a management issue. Now on to the good, our service was wonderful, starting with FERN! She was ADORABLE. She was the first one to greet us and had such a warm and kind demeanor, loved her! She made the night! They have live music, fun and interesting drinks, and the food I would say is 4/5. I probably wouldn't come back simply based on management and the fact that the meal is just too long for my liking. I chose the Comeback Sauce and Jalapeño sauce. For one order, I requested macaroni and cheese and cole slaw for the other. Since the combo came with a drink, I opted for two unsweet iced teas. When the food arrived, I was concerned by the very light weight in the bag. I reached in and pulled out a cardboard clamshell box. Opening the box, there were 10 chicken nuggets. For comparison, they were smaller than McDonald's nuggets. I looked at the receipt and saw that I had ordered chicken tenders. Written at the bottom of the receipt, someone wrote "I added two more tenders because they were small." They added a :) I was not smiling. I have never seen a chicken tender that is as small as these nuggets. To me, a chicken tender is a cutlet of chicken. So, I went to the look at the website for pictures. The pictures of the tenders were exactly what I was expecting. Now, I'm heated. So, I look in the other bag to fish out the side dishes. Both of the containers were so small. Each held maybe two tablespoons of macaroni and cheese or cole slaw. I'll bet if I emptied two of the sauce containers into this side container, it would fill it. Tea was fine. Hard to mess that up. The only reason I gave more than just one star was the two sauces. Both were excellent. I'm not usually one for sauces, but these small overcooked chicken nuggets needed some moisture. I saved the extra two sauces for later! I was really hoping for a new place to frequent, but I won't be giving this a second chance. (I did submit a request to GrubHub regarding the bait and switch. They did refund me part of my order, which I appreciated.)
