If you happen to be into Peruvian food then this is your next go to place. The food is absolutely terrific. Just read the reviews. Everyone is raving about this great little place. Located in the middle of the food court at the mall. I was truly impressed. The servers are alwsys friendly and the place is always immaculately clean. You too will love it

Lunch special. Grilled Chicken with white rice, salad and fries. Delicious and very affordable.

The food is delicious Authentic Peruvian food. Every dish I've had has been very flavorful. The staff is very welcoming and super friendly. They've gone as far as making my meal to my liking by adding or eliminating certain items to my dish. Their prices are very affordable. I highly recommend them, you will not be disappointed.

The Peruvian Food was Delicious all 3 plates we ordered were perfect. I'm Peruvian and I approve of it. We got Ceviche de Pescado, Arroz Chaufa de Pollo y Bistec a lo Pobre. The service is located inside the Mall, but the owners were so nice, since I'm Peruvian we were talking about our country and asked each other what part of Peru we were from. They were very nice and made sure we loved our food. As I said the restaurant is inside the Palm Desert Mall, which is wonderful. Recommended it.

Visited my first time 1/27/26. There was a hair in my food. Gave it to the cook he threw it away and replaced it.

It was very difficult finding Volcanic Fusion. I saw it on Yelp but had no idea it was in a mall, Palm Desert Shoppes. If you need directions, this place is on the second floor in the middle of the mall. The escalators in the middle are under reconstruction. The food court itself was kinda sad. Mrs Fields wasn't open and a Sushi place is permanently closed. It was not very busy on a Thursday night. There's a crepe and ramen place I'd like to try. My order was ready when I arrived. They were actually trying to call me to see when I was coming. The cashier was very nice. She asked what sauce I'd like. I had no idea. She offered sarsa which was good but I can't figure out what was in it. She couldn't explain it and I thought she said salsa. There are Peruvian items on a chalkboard that weren't online so I ordered the tamale and had to wait. While we're waiting we ate our online orders. The gyro fries were good. 8/10 I'm glad we didn't wait to eat as it would get soggy. There was the right amount of gyro. I like that there was plenty of feta cheese as well. The gyro meat didn't taste like the usual meat in used to buy it wasn't bad. This place is a fusion of Mediterranean and Peruvian food. I don't think they actually fused the food but they offer both types of food. I think they should stick to Peruvian and do it well. The falafel wrap was OK. 7/10 The falafel was crispy and had the right spice level but the lettuce in it was wilted and I would've enjoyed it without it. The chicken empanada was Peruvian style. 8/10 It was huge! I enjoyed it most with the sarsa and the garlic aoili sauce! It would've been better with Chimchurri! Finally, the surprise of the meal, was the chicken tamale Peruvian style. I'm so glad I ordered it. It was the size of a burrito! 10/10. There was chicken and an egg in it which I really liked. They removed the husk for me as I was going to eat it tight away. I almost ate the whole thing it was that good. It was different than a Mexican tamale, but I really enjoyed it.

We were looking for unique places to eat and we found Volcanic Fusion kitchen which seems to be a radically cool fusion of Peruvian and Greek food. It is on the food court of The Shops at Palm Desert, but don't let that dissuade you from trying it out. We ordered a he Gyro fries with feta, tzezki sauce, meat, tomatoes.Between me and my kids it did not last long. It was great. We also ordered the chicken empanada that was large, moist, and fresh. We loved their sauces and they freely gave us more tzezki, garlic ailoi (wow), and sarsa (yes it is called "sarsa") sauce. Lastly we ordered a chicken tamale that was large, moist, and tasty with a surprise egg inside that was a unique tasty addition. The service was quite friendly and accommodating. They have more food than the website shows (see pics). So there is much to try at Volcanic

It's a captivating piece that sets the stage for an extraordinary dining experience. Our group of 14 sampled nearly everything on the menu, and we were blown away! For appetizers, the beer-steamed mussels were a clear standout--packed with flavor. We also loved the tres arepa, which was perfectly crisp and hearty. For mains, the 16oz bone-in rib eye chop was the undeniable winner--juicy, tender, and cooked to perfection. On the side, the Brussels fritas were a hit, adding a great crunchy texture to the meal. So we took the coast and enjoyed the long way to the restaurant so we could get there at the right time. No issues parking, but we went during a slow time. It's off steet parking, there's not a parking lot, but again we found plenty of spots right in front of the restaurant. They have pretty and colorful decor. Fun lights and beautiful flowering tree coverage. Seating is outdoors so dress accordingly. I knew this because we've enjoyed dining here a few times, so I actually used my little throw blanket. It's causal but some Couples dress up and eat here too. Server was great. He was tentative and nice. I knew I wanted the shrimp causa and my daughter's favorite Peruvian dish is Lomo saltado, so thatd what she ordered. He told us about the specials so we went with trying the baked scallops. I'd asked for 2 and he accidentally brought 4 but immediately realized and without us having to even ask, he offered to take the extra two off. So grateful he caught that. My daughter doesn't like scallops and I just wanted to try them. I like sea scallops but these were bay scallops. I never asked so I shouldn't have assumed. It was a tasty appetizer, talked my daughter into trying it but she wasn't interested to try more. She loves Parmesan cheese and there was a lot but she wouldn't attempt the scallops. They were not under nor over cooked. I'm not sure what made it taste so unique but we both agreed we've never tasted anything like it. The shrimp causa wasnt the same flavor as months months ago. We don't live near so it's been a while since we've tried it. The alioli was a lot spicier than ever but still had good flavor but the causa was dry. But I had a side of alioli to help with that. Shrimp was tasty. Several other restaurants shrimp has been tasting off for months but this place shrimp tasted better. The Inca and chicha were delicious. I miss the cut up apple they use to put in it but still tastes fresh. Lomo Saltado was just two huge potato wedges and very few rice. Look at the photo. We did not eat any of it yet. This is the portion. It had good amount of jugó but the flavor wasnt like anything we'd tasted in Peru. BUT there's many many areas in Peru and we've only lived in a few and have only visited a handful more so just because it's not like any lomo we've tasted, doesn't mean it's not Peruvian. My daughter still liked it. It was high soy sauce and high vinegar taste. Lomo has both, but it was missing the cumin and flame flavor for me. We don't like potato wedges at all but she cut it up and made due with it. We were sooooo hungry from all day at the zoo so we almost finished all of it. None of the dishes are repeats for us but again, they taste good, just not the flavors we are use to, it's been a while so maybe that's why the causa and lomo tasted different. The server asked how is everything, im sure if we had said something he'd probably sought to help, but really it is what it is. I just think they cook differently then what we have had living in Peru. My husband had the seco here time ago, it's was incredibly delicious. He loves lamb. It was cooked perfectly and the frijoles were delicious as well. I hope the decide to put that dish back on the menu. Please. Not every visit is gonna go perfectly, that's not possible. Still a fun colorful restaurant with great service. Plates had great presentation. Not long at all ago I enjoyed the ceviche. I was just too cold to get it this time. Gonna got for it next time. Another couple got a huge salad. It looked so good, imma look for it on the menu next time.
