    Fried Shrimp Appetizer
    Diane N.

We had dinner here last night and it was AMAZING! Old school just the way we like it. They had Sizzling Rice Soup that was so flavorful I didn't add a drop of soy sauce. The Fried Shrimp appetizer and Egg Rolls were light and crispy and served piping hot. The 3 Flavor Stir Fry was so good. Again no soy sauce needed. The veggies in every dish were fresh and crispy and the service was perfect. And it's only a couple miles from our home. Highly recommend this place. The atmosphere was old school too and they make a perfect Mai Tai!!!

Wine bar doesn't open till 5 which was when happy hour started. For the first hour, they had wine, well drinks and draft beer. A few small plates also offered. It's a wine and tapas bar. It's along El Paseo before you hit the main shopping area, depending on which way you come. Entrance has a nice wall created by ficus trees and mister spraying to keep you cool. There's a decent patio with a good amount of seating. Inside is where the party is. The place is set with two seating area. Right when you walk in is the bar. A good amount of hi top seating and tables. Hi top seating that are along the window were actually very uncomfortable. Padded seats were so narrow that seating was so uncomfortable but oh well. There's the other room seating area which houses all the wine on shelves. I believe it's also a wine store but that sectioned was closed for a private event. We just wanted a drink before dinner so no food was had. From the looks of the dishes that were coming out, they looked really nice. Tapas style dishes made for sharing. With happy hour, there was a couple dishes that was included. Also they offered a deal with a charcuterie board and a bottle included. We just went with a glass of their house red and white. And an order of spicy margaritas. It's a full bar so that was nice. Margaritas were great and house wine was decent. The service was great with the bartender who was a doll and very sweet. Made drinks and still had time to come check out on people. It was still early but it did pick up for happy hour which is from 5-6 right when they open. The place was quite nice and well decorated. Beautiful wine bar that's great for mingling with friends over food drinks and tapas. Will definitely be back for some food.

Jack was bartending and couldn't have made our first experience any better. We started by sharing two flights of white wines and paired them with a Blue Crab Sushi Roll ($16), a Spicy Tuna Sushi Roll ($16), and Lobster Sliders ($13), served with cole slaw. The sushi rolls were made to order. They have plenty of wine and food selections for all palates. We finished off by sharing a red flight of the only four wineries we weren't familiar with. It was so nice, I could have sat there all day enjoying wine, food, and they even had a football game on the TV. Yes, it's a grocery store, but we had a great experience at the wine bar...just as if we have visited an actual winery. We'll be back for sure!

Complimentary fresh bread is warm, delicious, and crusty accompanied by French butter that doesn't taste like regular plain ol' butter. If you ever liked the beef stroganoff microwave meals when you were a kid, even remotely, you'll love this dish. Talk about hitting the spot. I proceeded to eat more bread dipping it in this sauce. The pasta was fresh, nice and chewy. Mussels with fries were good. 8.22/10. Nice big portion with plenty of broth. Pro tip if anyone is trying to get a little tipsy: All the wine was not cooked off. Also more bread dipped in this sauce. Also spooned it up like a soup. Seafood pasta, ordered twice since one wasn't enough! Solid 8.89/10! Altered this with a tomato based sauce rather than the creamy clam sauce as the 3 taste testers don't like creamy sauce. Fresh chewy pasta once again.
