Always love a quality all you can eat sushi I went with my brother in law to see how it compared to Sushi Palace because that's our usual go to. Inside is nicer set up than them. Service I will say is pretty mid. I eat at least 8-10 rolls each time and you can tell they were getting annoyed with us. Less options than sushi place though. Our waitress kept asking us if we were sure we were going to finish each order and checking in to ask if we were done. Don't offer all you can eat if you don't expect people with a big appetite to slam food Quality 3.5/5 Inside 4/5 Service 2/5 I'll be sticking with Sushi Palace

If you're looking for AYCE in Somerville, Kumo is the place to go. Their sashimi is actually decent quality for an AYCE. They fill their rolls with too much rice but that's every AYCE place. I actually prefer Kumo over Sushi Palace in Somerville because the quality of the sashimi and avocado is exponentially better. I've had some brown looking avocados at Sushi Palace. Also, the seating situation at Sushi Palace can feel so cluttered. The seats in Kumo are more spaced out and comfortable (especially by the booth) whereas in Sushi Palace the tables feel so close to one another.

This was a great experience with good all you can eat sushi at a great price. The food was all around great with tons of options and great special orders. The ambience was very comfortable and quiet. Service was pretty good, but the turn around on our food definitely slowed a lot for our second round of food. I recommend checking Kumos out if you like sushi. Everyone had a great time and I look forward to returning.

This was ordered through a third party. The ordering process was efficient, and the food was delivered in a timely matter. The menu had options ranging from sushi rolls to hibachi to noodles to bento boxes. The prices were a little much, but not terrible. 6 sushi rolls were ordered. See below for thoughts on each. All of them had a great presentation and each roll was constructed nicely. Alaska Roll ($5.95) - This was solid, lots of flavor with the salmon, avocado, and cucumber. Treasure ($14.00) - This consisted of tuna, salmon, avocado, snow crab, tobiko and crunch that was wrapped in soybean paper. There was not a lot of crunch here and was somewhat dry, but the fish was pleasant. Pink Lady Roll ($12.00) - This had spicy tuna and avocado as a filling with salmon on top. This was tasty, but not too spicy. Lobster Mango ($13.00) - There was spicy lobster on the inside with sliced mango, avocado, and eel sauce on top. This was a nice combination, but the only issue was the lack of mango present. Valentine ($13.00) - This had spicy crab and avocado as the filling and was topped with salmon and avocado. This was probably my favorite as there was a slight kick. I really enjoyed the spicy crab flavor with the salmon. Sumo Roll ($5.95) - This had a crispy calamari, mango, lettuce, spicy mayo, and eel sauce. I was most intrigued to try this one, but it was a little disappointing because of the lettuce. It was too overpowering. The calamari was crispy when it could be tasted. Will I go back? Probably.

Fairly amazing that an all u can eat restaurant is also has made to order service. I was expecting to roll in (pun intended) and find a conveyer belt of items that had been prepared god knows when. Instead, I was delighted that everything was prepared fresh! Other all u can eat places would limit your choices to basic items, but we had access to all the premium rolls too! The Kamikaze roll was overwhelming for me with its tempura pieces and giant size. I was much more in the mood for refreshing rolls like the Jersey Girl and one that was wrapped in a green, cucumber paper? The winner for me was the sashimi. You have to try the "White Tuna" and the "Red Snapper". So fresh, so juicy, and so flavorful. Each fish has a unique personality that isn't really appreciated when it's cooked. Other standouts: spicy seaweed salad, stir fried noodles, and miso soup. To finish things off, go ahead and order all 3 of the ice creams. Again, for an all u can eat situation, I assumed these would be mediocre. I was wrong! The ice cream was creamy, super tasty, and was so premium. I've never liked matcha ice cream or any matcha flavored things but this ice cream was fantastic! The flavors were subtle. The service was excellent! Super fast and efficient. The food was filling up our table faster than we could eat it, and we were running out of room quick! Ambience: very chill. Muted blue lights, comfortable seating, and an oddly eclectic playlist featuring Rihanna's greatest hits...I loved it.

If you NEED sushi and don't want to spend more than $30, this will satisfy a quick craving and also make you not want to eat sushi again for a while. All the rolls here taste the same after a piece or two. Definitely not the freshest. They don't have ponzu sauce or fountain drinks. The food is very slow to come out, and the service isn't great. It's edible, tho. FRIDAYS, they offer AYCE for $26.95. The number of specialty rolls on that list is limited, but again, if you don't have high standards.....

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I am a huge sushi fan and it can be so expensive so I am always looking for a good ALL YOU CAN EAT SPOT! First of all, I love that you can get sashimi and sushi at the AYCE spot- that's not always a thing! My only complaint is that sometimes it takes a little while for everything to come out and when they get busy it's hard to get the waiters attention but that is not a deter any for me because the food is just too dang good! I typically like to order the individual sushi pieces : here I have salmon, white tuna and tuna! They are delicious. I like how they lay it on a pretty small bed of rice and the fish completely covers it! It gives me a chance to try lots of the fishes! Their spicy salmon roll is sooooo delicious. You can tell it's very fresh and although it's spicy it's pretty mild and definitely easy to eat! Not pictured- because I gobbled it down too fast we're a few of the speciality rolls I always get one of the dragon rolls, a rainbow roll and their miso soup! You really can't go wrong with any of the speciality rolls! I'm not a fan of the ones with mango but that's a personal taste thing ! I would recommend this spot for a family day or a date night! It's BYOB so you can grab a bottle of wine from the liquor store conveniently located next to Kumo and then order away all the sushi you can want ! I think it's a great bang for your buck and a beautiful space !

My Fiancé and I were craving all you can eat sushi and wanted to give this place a try. There selection and menu is definitely better that most AYCE places. The fish tasted fresh and were plentiful. I was actually surprised at how thick they cut their tuna serving. I also enjoyed their sushi rice and just ordered a bowl of that. It was well seasoned. It had the right amount of salty, savory, tangy and sweet. There specialty rolls had a huge selection as well for anyone craving something different. I would definitely go back here when I am crazing AYCE sushi. The restaurant was also very spacious.

You get as much as you expect from an Asian buffet. The food always comes out warm and the portions are good. I took away one star because of the pricing. I remember this place used to be cheaper but they have really raise their prices in the recent year and the price doesn't match the quality they are putting out.

I don't know why I was surprised to discover this was in a strip mall, but that's on me. A nice one, at least. The place was relatively busy but we were able to secure a table easily with zero wait time. Pleasant vibes inside. I don't mean this as an insult at all but I was expecting more ethnic decor in line with the restaurant's menu - instead, it's pretty Americanized and feels like a classic suburban NJ establishment. I liked the painted brick on the lefthand side that has Blue Spice's logo/sign on it; spiffy. The bathroom was also a high point, which is...not something I say often. It was very clean and smelled nice, and I liked the dark cruise-ship lighting vibe. We decided to split the scallion pancake app, which was an excellent decision. I work in the city and regularly have this item from a place in Chinatown, and I honestly thought this was better, mostly because it was thicker/denser than what I'm used to. Super tasty and would get that again in a heartbeat. Giant portion as well - we split the pancake, which was roughly the size of a small pizza. My chum had leftovers there, I did not; so it goes with us. I've had a few mediocre chicken katsu experiences of late, so this seemed like a chance for redemption. I ordered the Akiko Curry entree, which was their spin on chicken katsu curry. Honestly wasn't my favorite. Again, a HUGE portion here and was only able to finish about 60% of it despite having a pretty legit appetite coming in. And the presentation value is excellent as well, as far as that goes. This could easily just be a personal palate preference, but I wasn't crazy about the curry itself (which had a weird tang to it) and didn't resemble the standard curry I'm used to with this dish. Also, as you can see from the attached, the curry is basically on the side of the dish, separated from the chicken and rice. Because of that, the chicken is on the dry side, which is my primary beef (pun?) with the item to begin with. So a miss for me, but I could see why other people would like this (and apparently do). The service was excellent, full stop. Our waitress was very nice and personable; she had strong command of the menu and you could see her consistently engaging with other patrons throughout our meal as well. She took several group photos so this is apparently a Kingdom of Sussex hot spot for that, which I wouldn't have guessed. She was so good both of us remarked on it multiple times during the meal, which is a rarity. But a great example of hospitality markedly improving an experience and making what was already an overall positive situation that much better. Huge marks there. Would definitely come back but would explore other parts of the menu once I feasted on the scallion pancake.

The chicken was cooked perfectly and it was tender. The sauce had good flavor and the Stir Fried Broccoli was a nice accompaniment. My bf ordered their Combination Pork Lo Mein with Fried Rice. He really enjoyed his meal. I shared my dumplings with him, and gave him a taste of my General Tso's Chicken. He too thought the food here was very good. There is a large free parking lot in the back. There are a few handicapped parking spaces. I will definitely be returning.
