This order was picked up and ready upon arrival. The menu had a number of different sushi rolls along with bento boxes, teriyaki dishes, curries, etc. There were 5 different rolls tried and they are described below. All of the rolls were relatively small. New York ($8.25) - This consisted of salmon, cucumber, avocado, and a shrimp crunch with masago. This was okay, just not a lot of flavor here. Bridgewater ($14.95) - This was spicy tuna, with avocado and topped with seared pepper tuna. I was looking forward to this roll the most, but it was decent at best. The tuna was not spicy and the roll was just plain. Flamingo ($12.95) - This was comprised of spicy salmon along with fresh salmon. This was my favorite one by far. I liked the combinations of the 2 salmons. Golden Dream ($12.95) - This had shrimp tempura topped with mango and served with a pineapple sauce. This was alright, but do not believe there was any type of sauce present, which could have made the roll more appetizing. Alaska ($5.75) - This was similar to the New York Roll, without the shrimp protein, decent again. Will I go back? I did not actually attend. I do not think I would though. read more

I ordered from this place on DoorDash. I ordered the pork ramen and the sushi/sashimi dinner. This place is priced about 50-100% hire than any other place for the same roll. The nigiri and sashimi pieces are half the size so you're essentially paying 3x anywhere else. The fish isn't fresh. One piece was extremely fatty and should have been discarded but they decided to keep it and use it as a piece of fish for customers. Absolutely disgusting. The ramen has less flavor than a cup of noodles for $1.12 at ShopRite. The pork disintegrates because it's so over cooked and the egg isn't even marinated in soy sauce. Only pro is that the food came quick. Overall this place is a joke. read more

I never like to leave a negative review however, I appreciate honest reviews when deciding where to dine. Had I not been starving I would've headed over to Somerville, the location of my favorite Japanese restaurants, but I needed to eat something soon, I was in the area, and sushi was on the brain. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Unfortunately, as someone who loves sushi I would never recommended Masa. I ordered my go to dish which is the Sushi Regular Entree and I'm sad to say that both the portions and the quality were disappointing. I wish I had waited 15 minutes longer and drove down the road for a meal that would've left me satisfied and wanting more. I was very excited to see this restaurant on door dash as I love sushi but no one delivers out this way. Ordered from here for the first time- got a designer roll and a two roll special. The rolls were all disgusting. The designer roll was supposed to have avocado and crab inside (crab missing) and spicy tuna with mango on top. The tuna tasted old and the mango was crunchy and dry as if it was left out. I spit it out! The sweet potato rolls were way overcooked and tasted burnt, the sauce on top was paste. I discovered this place from a good friend who had parents that used to own the restaurant. Now with different owners, the food is still just as great in my opinion. I was introduced to their sweet potato roll which is heavenly delicious! I HIGHLY recommend this!Every time since I have ordered it! Their California rolls are very good too. They have a picture book of their specials which was really nice to see because you could see what the food looked like and how it was presented. Some are really neat! We tried the "dreamboat" which consisted of crab meat, zucchini tempura, and some other ingredients. It was very tasty, we will definitely order again. You must try the "mochi" ice cream. Everyone should experience this. It has a chewy texture on the outside and has a solid flavor inside. My favorites are the mango and vanilla bean. They are no bigger than an Oreo cookie and a great way to end your meal. The fried ice cream is also yummy, they drizzle chocolate sauce over it. This place USED to be good with the previous owners many years ago... I was there several times recently and I would tell you to stay away from this place and here is why..... The quality of the fish is OK but not wow this is fresh.... The rolls are small and fall apart which means they don't know what they are doing. When you walk in the place a has a strong smell of fish which shouldn't be if the fish is extremely fresh. Their oil in the fryer is rancid because you can smell it when you walk in also, even tempura items have a nasty rancid oil taste. I have been here a couple of times to have them redeem themselves and they have produced the same disappointment.. What to do... Goto Mr. Pi's in warren which is only about a 10 minute ride from this place. Its well worth it to go there b/c you get better quality food and its a better value. A $14.95 roll at this place is like a $6.99 roll at wegmans, but the sad part is the wegmans tastes fresher and is made correctly. A $14.95 roll or more will be a better value at Mr. Pi's b/c the quality and size of the roll will be far superior to anything you will ever get at Masa. read more

We're pretty much regulars at Masa Sushi. It's a decent sushi restaurant with a typical Japanese menu. The sushi quality is good, but I wouldn't say excellent. We've had good and less than average dinners here but we keep coming back because they're one of the closer sushi restaurants to us and they're reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and attentive and they're good with our kids. They've also been very careful when we've specified that our son is allergic to shellfish and he hasn't had any reactions to their food. Their lunch menu is actually better than their dinner menu. This is one of the only sushi restaurants I've found that lets you pick 2 or 3 rolls from a pretty diverse list, served with salad and soup for a very reasonable price. Their specialty rolls are pretty good, though we tend to stick to their maki and sushi dinners at night because they offer a nice variety in those set dishes. If you have a craving for sushi, this place is worth a try. I would pick this over Hanami and Domo sushi. The quality is about equivalent between the three but the prices are better at Masa and I like the atmospher better too. read more
