Ordered several main courses, side dishes and egg rolls. The egg rolls were incredibly greasy and lacking any real flavor. The same can be said for the pork fried rice....no flavor. I wanted to update my review because even though my coworker and I had a terrible experience with their pad Thai, I will say I have ordered their Chinese food several times since then and it's always pretty good! Shrimp lomain, general Tsao chicken & the wonton soup are usually my go-to- I love their steamed dumplings as well, there's a little too much dough but I just sort of cut it away and their sauce for that is very yummy. I grew up all my life in NYC so I know good American Chinese food when try it, I got the general Taos chicken combo platter, flavorful meaty chunks of chicken and ok tasting rice it's edible id order by itself anytime I just prefer like more vegetables in the rice bean sprout scallions etc. I got the wonton soup instead of egg roll because I'm allergic, which was very good and flavorful also for 10$ a combo it really comes with a lot of food so I definitely recommend as there isn't really any good Chinese food In jersey read more

My favorite Chinese food place. Never disappoints. The plain lo mien is top notch, and every appetizer is delicious!

The food from here was okay. Based on other reviews, I tried the Szechuan dumplings, and the orange chicken combo. The Szechuan dumplings were pretty good, but the filling was a bit dry and under seasoned. The orange chicken and pork fried rice was flavorless, and the egg roll was thick and under seasoned. My husband had the beef with string beans, and the beef was tender but again, not very flavorful. I would not order from here again. There are much better options in the area. read more

I'd give them zero stars if I could. I called over an hour ago and placed an order for a single person. Just one meal. I was told it would be about 20 or 30 minutes at most. 45 minutes later I called back and asked if it was on the way. The lady on the phone said the driver was around the corner and would be here soon. I'm not even a 5 minute drive from their restaurant. After another 15 minutes of waiting I called back and said to cancel it. I hadn't received my food and didn't want to receive it cold. She refuses saying it was with the driver already and that I could not cancel it and receive a refund. I argued with her for several minutes and she put me on hold to call the driver. I was put on hold for another few minutes only to be told the driver was 5 minutes away. I understand that he may have had other orders to complete but they were not understanding and kept telling me to wait another 5 minutes. The driver finally came and the food was cold. About 2 or 3 minutes after that the restaurant called me back to let me know the driver was 2 minutes away. They obviously don't know where their drivers are or care about their customers. I've eaten with them for about 15 years on and off but after this I will never go to them again. read more

I'm sorry for anyone who enjoys this place, but i am absolutely tired of it. I've been a customer for a long time and the food is extremely inconsistent, that's one of the most frustrating things when ordering food. And most of the time favoring poor quality. There are other high end Chinese restaurants that charge the same but serve quality food. Also, if the daughter answers the phone, prepare for a snotty attitude that screams "i don't give a f**k" it is unacceptable behavior and if I heard my kid talk like that with my business I would do something about it, they don't. This place not only has the dumbest employees but they are extremely rude! I ordered food they called back to say my card was declined I gave them my card again where she said it went through an hour later I decide to call to see why my food wasn't delivered they didn't answer so I drove there and they were closed they just decided to not deliver my food and didn't give me a call about it! We tried New Fortune for delivery and were very happy with the food. The hot and sour soup was excellent. The "Triple Rainbow" combo was good as well - with beef, chicken and some very nice shrimp. Beef and broccoli was ordinary. Chicken fried rice was ordinary. We have been ordering from Kam Luang Kitchen for a long time, but I had to test this place for Yelp. I like to go there, but each chinese place has a unique flavor, techniques and style.. The food is good and fresh, but stay away from the sushi.. It's not the best Chinese place in the area in my opinion, but for affordable American style Chinese fast food that's open late it is excellent. I used to love New Fortune, only place I'd get chinese food from. However, after hurricane irene happened and they were obviously flooded, they opened up much to quick compared to the other shops around them. Then, the health inspector shut them down because they kept all their meat out on the counter instead of refrigerating it. Always consistent. Can't go wrong with their classic Chinese takeout lunch specials.
