This is the only place I get my boba. Don't get me wrong, this place isnt over the top OMG boba place. But this is Austin, and I came from Houston. There is a lack of boba competition here. Unlike Houston, you have to drive almost to the other side of town to get boba. But Kung th never ceases to surprise me with their boba quality. The drinks are tasty, I can customize the sweetness. The boba always sweet and chewy. Their lychee black tea has bits of real lychee in it. Their jujubee tea has real jujubee, you get the point now. My 11 year old and I are big fans of bubble tea but we're not big fans of Kung Fu Tea. While their boba was very good, neither of us enjoyed the coconut milk tea or the almond milk tea we ordered. Both were a bit heavier on tea than most places, which might appeal to some but was a bit too strong for my taste. I was also disappointed that they didn't have many options for less adventurous companions. The store was pretty loud while we were there and which made us eager to take our drinks to go. Went to this store during soft opening, milk tea tastes great and same as I always have in Houston and the one by UT. However, went there today for grand opening, the kf Milk tea taste like water and the boba is not good either. Not sure if has something with the bogo promotion. Yeah!! They're finally open. Super easy location, so convenient. I always try to getaway during my lunch break to grab something yummy to drink. I can not say enough how much I love the drinks here. Delicious. Omg, if you like coffee give the coffee milk tea a try with bubbles. The flavor is so yummy with a rich and deep coffee flavor. I totally love the Orea drink too when I'm looking for something with a nice sweetness. But my all time favorite is their classic green milk tea - love having mine with grass jelly. My husband ordered the Kung Fu tea as is, and I ordered the oolong with 70% sweetness and 70% ice with boba. Both drinks were delicious! The boba was slightly soft with a sweet honey flavor. I moved to Killeen from Seattle a few months ago, and I'm relieved to have finally found a good bubble tea shop. read more

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. My girlfriend and I went here for the first time tonight and was greeted by (I'm guessing) the manager/owner. I wish everyone cared about their customers like he does. He gave us a full run down of the menu, what to order and even made us drinks until we found the one we liked best. Since moving to Austin 3.5 years ago, I have been on the hunt for good bubble tea. St. Louis is loaded with bubble tea shops, but there aren't nearly as many down here in ATX. I've tried a few different tapioca tea places and this one is my favorite. Great tea, great service, great environment, etc etc. The tea wasn't too sweet which I love. The tapioca was consistent and made very well. I've been here a few times just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Calvin, who was actually working upfront. Best boba place in town. I go here like 4 times in a week. At some point I think the manager recognizes me eeeek because he once said you come here every Friday (my office is close to them so yeah ). I've had Kung Fu Tea several times and it tasted great like always. I got a honey oolong milk tea with bubbles and milk cap and my sister got a mango snow. In the past two times I visited this location, they forgot to put in my milk cap each time. It wasn't a big deal, because all they had to do is to add milk cap to it, so I never felt the need to write a review. Thankfully, this time the milk cap was there. However, I was just very disappointed on the amount that they gave us yesterday. I would assume that since I got a large milk tea with a topping AND milk cap(which I am paying for), the drink should have been topped off correctly. But, as it is shown in attached pictures, both my oolong milk tea with boba & milk cap and my sister's mango snow shows a lot of gap between the drink and the seal. Full of disappointments:( I understand that sometimes smoothies can have air gaps when they put it in a cup (even though with few simple taps it would have went away). But, for a milk tea with a milk cap added, there shouldn't be that much of an empty space, or am I wrong? The store was not busy at all, it was just us and one drink order after us. I just hope no one else has to experience this kind of scheme. I used to love coming to KFT, but sad that I won't be able to say that after today. read more
