Thai ice tea w nondairy powdered milk.
    Magda G.

My niece wanted to go here & I just wanted a thai tea w oat milk but was told that they normally didn't make the drink w oat but non dairy powder milk. It's interesting that they asked for the level of sugar and ice but not the milk. I received powdered nondairy milk w some thai tea; way too much powdered milk; look at the color of my tea. The brown sugar boba was fresh & delicious. CC accepted.

Love the ambiance, service and the boba tea there. Definitely my fav spot in Chinatown.

The Dubai strawberry chocolate taste like caca. The chocolate tastes nasty so watery. No flavor!!! I spend $22. They went straight to the garbage.

Service with a smile or choose the kiosk with lots of descriptive pictures. Comfy seats, wooden accents and table games. If you visit with a friend, be sure that one of you picks a seat. This place has a nice crowd and seating is limited. We ordered a couple of teas with low sugar which in no way took away from the flavor. We sat and talked for a while sipping our teas then headed out to explore more of China Town.

Wanted to grab dessert and what's better than boba! The drinks were really good but we had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks and the store wasn't busy.

Had the peach green tea I was super excited since all the over king du Teas I've gone to didn't have the special limited time offering of the peach drinks but it was a nice shop in Chicago good solid peach green tea with aloe

I got an iced sesame milk tea and thought it was pretty unique. I normally like sesame drinks and enjoyed this one, but I think I prefer my regular green milk tea or oolong milk tea. Chinatown Kung Fu tea and Evanston Kung Fu tea make spicy popcorn chicken. It's deep fried dark meat with a spicy-ish dry seasoning. It was a juicy, crispy, and delicious snack!

This place has good boba and a substantial menu. However, placing an order can be a bit of a debacle (probably better if you use the app). There is one computer kiosk you need to use to place an order if you are paying with credit card. If you get stuck behind a large or indecisive crowd, it can take a while. You can only order at the counter if you are paying with cash only. Half the time you just see the employees standing around behind the counter with a line to the door of people just waiting to place an order at the kiosk. I've had a few drinks from here, and my favorite so far has been the Cocoa Cream Wow. I got it with a milk cap, which made it a bit too milky for my liking, so I will try it without next time.

This Kung Fu Tea located in new Chinatown upper level is fairly open space for a bubble tea place. Has a few seating area. You can ordered from the cashier or from the self served on the tablet they have up front. There's plenty of options to choose for milk tea including black, green, oolong or thai milk tea. I liked you can reduce the sugar level on the drink.

Used to come here often in the past but it's not my favorite place anymore because there's very limited seating. And payments are confusing for some reason here. But flavors are consistent across every KFT. Service is very quick so that's a plus. But mostly just a quick meetup place with friends.

KUNG FU HONEY TEA (left) and KUNG FU MILK/ MILK GREEN TEA (right): both tasted like water with hard, undercooked bland boba.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I have been to many Kung Fu Teas in different cities/states, including Las Vegas and Atlanta locations. This place is by far the worst Kung Fu Tea I have ever been to. Despite me repeating my order and it being written on my receipt and the cup itself, the staff somehow still managed to put in boba when I asked for no boba and no ice when I asked for less ice. Worst of all? My honey tea tasted like water with honey in it. Absolutely no tea taste whatsoever. And, the boba that the staff mistakenly added into my tea, was extremely hard due to being undercooked and bland. My SO got the kung fu milk tea with boba, and his tasted like water mixed with milk. Perhaps the staff of this Kung Fu Tea location is trying to save some money by not using as much tea leaves or powder, but whatever the issue is, it needs to be resolved. Tea needs to taste like tea, not water or water mixed with milk. This is ridiculous. I am extremely baffled by all the positive reviews on this page. Maybe my experience here is an anomaly to all the times that the staff here properly made teas, but I would never come back here just to give this location another chance. $10.12 down the drain for us. We tossed our teas on the way out of this store.

    COCOA CREAM WOW
    Sarah B.

It was good but not great. I got the Cocoa cream wow at 70% sweet and I wish I did full 100% to get the entire experience because I felt like it was a little watered down. Better than other boba spots I've been to as of late and the tapioca boba were PERFECTLY cooked. So soft, sweet, and not too chewy.

    Purple yam latte
    Thuy Dan T.

I'm giving this review 5 stars solely for one limited edition flavor -- the PURPLE YAM LATTE! When it's available, get it get it get it! The purple yam is thick and has great flavor. Yam is usually lighter in flavor but KFT definitely spruces it up. Not only is it delicious, it's gorgeous to look at!

If you drive like most Americans, it'll end in a crash only

Do they have the new drink "cocoa cream wow" yet?

Some places yes. The stores that are in the more centrally located areas. You just have to call them and ask them before you go there because each store is privately owned which means that not all of them get the new stuff at the same time

Is it possible to order tapioca pearls separately? And if so, how long would they be good for?

Yes that's possible, but they would only store well for a day or so before they dried out. I find it can be prolonged by storing them with a bit of honey!

One of the things I love about coming here is the customer service because it's really great, especially from one of the really nice girls who works in the mornings on weekdays (I need to get her name and edit this review because she's so nice) and their oatmeal bowls are some of the best I've had and I'm pretty picky about my oatmeal. Another positive is they can do a 100% nut free smoothie because they have separate blenders for people that can't have nuts and I think that's amazing. I've seen places that mix nut and nut free in the same blenders and that's so dangerous / frustrating. I'll definitely continue coming here

Originally on a mission for a smoothie, I was greeted by a friendly staff member and a much larger menu than expected. There is a slew of inventive food that all looked amazing, ranging from sandwiches to noodles and sushi. I opted for the Maca Picchu smoothie, a mini cranberry muffin, and an empanada. I was blown away by how flavorful everything was! The smoothie was creamy, lightly sweet, and very refreshing. The mini muffin tasted like a firmer version of edible cookie dough and was a perfect sweet treat. The empanada was not crunchy, but it was flavorful and the vegan cashew cream was incredibly smooth. I was really impressed not only by the taste of the food, but the texture and presentation as well. There is a level of detail and care that is apparent and really exceptional. Sometimes when you're stoned you do the weirdest things and crave the weirdest stuff. I was scrolling on DoorDash for what felt like 67 years when I stumbled on Deep Purpl. Their menu literally screamed exactly what my munchies were demanding, so obviously I ordered everything. First up the Acai Bowl 20oz with banana, strawberry, kiwi, granola, organic honey, extra strawberries, and chia seeds. I am telling you this bowl changed me as a human. I had never had an Acai Bowl before and now I'm obsessed. Every fruit was fresher than fresh, the granola was a spiritual experience, and the balance of flavors was ridiculous. Then I got the PB Toast and I'm still asking myself why I hesitated to pay $6.99 for it. GAWD it was amazing. Crispy bread, peanut butter, banana, strawberries, blueberries, honey drizzle. The best $6.99 piece of toast I have ever had in my life. Because I clearly have no self-control I also grabbed the spinach and cheese empanada and malbec and beef empanada. No words. Everything was fantastic. Every single item was a joy to inhale and I will absolutely do it again. The DoorDash pick-up was super easy and the staff was incredibly friendly. The only minor gripe is they don't provide bags so I had to carry everything individually walking home, which was slightly annoying. But honestly the food, the vibes, and the experience? 10 out of 10. Will be back.
