My Strawberry Crème Frap was pretty good also had a decent amount of whipped cream when I asked for extra. When it came to my husband's matcha latte with pistachio cold foam, it wasn't blended properly. He could still taste clumps of matcha and it's shown on the photo also. read more

Better than most SBs but not as good as the local Chinese bakeries in terms of the the ambiance, baked goods, and clientele. Twice I've been here and there's been some non-Chinese person passed out on the sidewalk in front. It used to be connected to the hotel next door, but now that door is blocked. Like other SBs they only have wasteful disposable cups, caps, unrecyclable straws whether you're getting to go or drink on site. Way too much plastic at these places. read more

What is a morning without Starbucks, coffee or whatever you flavor so to speak. This location was halfway down the road from Chinatown to the convention center where I was staying and every time I went in there the store is very clean well presented friendly staff very quick and very efficient and I do have two or three tables outside if you wanna sit and watch the cars go by and people walk by And it is shaded in that area. I do recommend a Starbucks. It's a couple minute walk from the convention center. You can use your points there and also get points versus the Starbucks, which really isn't a Starbucks in the hotel that is connected to the convention center. read more

I tried the Falafel Wrap at my nearby Starbucks on 16th and Canal. I was very disappointed because there were only a few crumbs of falafel in the wrap. I was so looking forward to having this for breakfast with my coffee. Falafel is one of my favorite vegetarian meals, but this wrap was falafelless. Bit small, but they have everything you need. One restroom, you'll need a code to get in. The restroom was clean, so that was added + There's few chairs by the cashier, then two long tables at the opposite side. Starbucks is still a place of discrimination. I came in and needed to stop in the restroom before I bought a tea. They have a code on the door and when I asked the worker he told me the restrooms were closed for service. I asked the worker where do paying customers go if they need to use the restroom? The worker continue to reply that the restrooms were closed for service. So I asked him what is his recommendation for a paying customer that needs to use the restroom and he told me to go to the library or Walgreens across the street. I turned away out of frustration, but when I looked back, the two workers were giggling. So I walked back over to the counter and said if I were purchasing something right now at this moment, would I be able to use the restroom and he still insisted that the restrooms were closed for service. It was only after I demanded to use the restroom more than six times until the worker finally gave me the code. When I went into the restroom, it was not being serviced. It was fully functional. They just didn't want me to use the restroom. Of course people would say that I am speculating that I was treated that way because I am a black woman and I can't prove it, but something tells me that if I was another race and I would've casually walked in there asking for the code to the restroom, there would have not been any issues. They literally do not close for another 40 minutes yet the worker still insisted that the restrooms were closed for service because they were about to close. Starbucks you need to do better with training the people that work in your establishment and treating people with dignity regardless of the way they look. read more

I mostly went to this place from morning & afternoon before going to work. I could say this is my favorite local ones, because of the nice atmosphere from the inside, the friendly baristas & cashiers, and the varieties of drinks that I like. Most importantly, they have free Wi-Fi!, which I could bring my laptop or my smartphone, and connecting it to theirs instead of only using 5Gs. Although free Wi-Fi is good, but it feels annoying at the same time. Since this place is located on the same building as the hotel, customers have to connect the Wi-Fi from the hotel's website. The problem of that is the password switches weekly. For example: 1st week Wi-Fi password = #1, 2nd week Wi-Fi password = #2, 3rd week Wi-Fi password = #3, etc... Then approximately one or half a year, the new Wi-Fi password is back to be #1, next week #2, and so on and so on. It's really kind of annoying, because I don't remember it every time when I get there. So I always have to ask the employees "what is the Wi-Fi password?". Either this, or I use 10-15 minutes to try to type all the random passwords that I know until I connect the right one. Another thing that I dislike about this particular place is some of the middle-ages "customers", especially the chinatown residents. Usually, they only just come in and sit & talk instead of buying something. The only time when they're leaving is when it's time for them to go to work or somebody picks them up. This is not the big problem, but the big problem is they did a lot of stuff which I feel angry about it. Such as: talking very loud in a place that's for chill, taking their shoes off and left bare feet on the chairs or on the floor, randomly talking to someone that they didn't even know, and not letting someone that really wants to sit to have a chair. Personally, the employees could take this seriously, like put up the sign at the front, to warn them what they can do or don't do. This way, those so-called customers will stop what they're doing. I mean what they do previously is disturbing, disgusting, disrespectful, and dislikeable. Also, just because they are living in this neighborhood, doesn't mean they can do whatever they want in a business place. read more

We stopped by for an afternoon coffee. I saw a sign that said redeem your favorite drinks here. Mmmm...I wonder if Starbucks changed their policy since this Starbucks is owned by the hotel. They would not allow anyone to redeem the points or I should say their system would not allow you to. I wish someone can tell me that. So this is not for just that location. I ordered for the first time a sourdough cheese melt and it was delicious. However, when I called the restaurant and asked why they were no napkins is because they said it is not their policy to give out napkins. Think about it I have a greasy sandwich that I'm eating while I'm driving And there's grease all over my hands. And their policy is not to give out napkins unless I ask for it. Wouldn't it be easier if the cashier were to say would you like some napkins or just give them out? This is all about how the corporate world is trying to save pennies by not giving napkins and waiting for the customer to open their mouth and offer or ask for napkins. Again, the sandwich is delicious. You should just assume that they're going to need some. With a sandwich. My guess is they're sitting around some corporate table to find out how they can cut costs. And they agree that this would be a good solution. But it's not. No other company does this that serves sandwiches through the drive-through. If they do, shame on them, they should be included. It's located at the six corners of Chinatown on Archer/Princeton and Cermak. Very clean with a staff that's courteous! There are 2 large wooden tables and both have different seating such as one table with wooden chairs and the other within leather type of backless stools. There are also several leather chairs if you wish that are located by the window. Unfortunately there is no parking lot so you'll have to look for paid street parking as the remaining parking area requires permits. This is one of the better Starbucks in the city. There's usually a place to sit and long tables with outlets underneath. Staff is friendly and not overworked so they are always on their A Game in terms of orders. Other patrons are not at all loud and it's a great place to get work done. I stopped by this Starbucks after a 14 hour shift in the OR. Exhausted, I looked for a drink to purge my thirst. I glanced at the menu and a lavender beverage caught my attention. I lost my oral virginity after the first sip. Like parched soil yearning for water, I found myself drinking uncontrollably. Located at the Jaslin Hotel right in the heart of Chinatown across the Chinatown Square Plaza. Paid street parking all around. Unless you find a free spot right along S. Princeton Ave. Or you could park in the 15 min standing zone in front of Lakeside Bank. I still don't trust the loading zone area in front of the hotel. It is a block from the red line and the 62 bus stops right across the street. I like the ease of public trans at this location. BUT, my only negative... This location is not a corporate store, so you won't be able to do mobile ordering or redeem any rewards. However, your purchases will still earn you stars towards rewards. Inside is clean. They have 2 small tables with 4 chairs each and they also have 2 long tables with a good amount of chairs to accommodate larger parties. There is an extra room as of right now with some tables. Service is fast and friendly. I visit this location 1-2 times a week and have not seen the same person working. They have a very diverse staff and so is their customer base. I'm glad Chinatown has it's own Starbucks, for those times when you're not in the mood for a cup of milk tea or boba. read more

In my years of existence I have never tasted a more delicious Frappuccino. The flavor was spot on, it was thick, velvety, cold, and a delight to my taste buds. The perfect summer treat. What really made a mark on me however, was the impeccable, world class service of the barista (I believe his name was Evan) who prepared my drink. His charm and attention to detail truly made this a one-of-a-kind experience, making this Starbucks a must visit in the Chicago area. Horrible service , horrible attitude. My app show I had $9 credit actually it didn't have that money. The guy at front scanned my app and then just put down the cup. I literally though It went through. After I Waited 20 minutes, I asked him about my drink, he looked very frustrated and told me your transition did not go through. Starbucks like others but gets 2 stars because they don't give rewards to Starbucks members. They say they are a franchise store and that is why they give stars but they don't honor rewards. That really stinks. They are the only Starbucks in this neighborhood and why even give stars and give the illusion that everything is the same until you try to use your stars. They said I can use it somewhere else like the Roosevelt store but that is a mile or more away and a lot of ppl in this neighborhood don't drive, you're putting them at a disadvantage as the stars can expire before they can get to another store. Anyway, I think this was a horrible finding and they should put a big sign somewhere signifying that this is NOT a regular Starbucks and everything you expect will not be given. They should not even be called a Starbucks. Maybe they should be the Chinatown Cafe "serving Starbucks coffee."
