I passed by here a few times, but I stopped by for the first time yesterday. Sunday 5/3/26 This will be my new favorite spot. Not a big parking lot, but enough space to pull in and out. And they have an app which I downloaded yesterday. It's very spacious inside, lots of seating, and they have a few snacks on the side you can buy along with a different menu of items to look at. I ended up trying the mangonada and the pineapple slush with boba, so good, not sure which is my favorite. I got my order to go, so there's no pic. Didn't take long to get my drink. Always amazing. I feel like kung fu tea doesn't disappoint across the nation. it's always decent or above average compared to others! Maybe I'm just a fan... the bubbles are chewy with adequate sweetness! It was my first time getting yogurt lemonade, definitely tangy but love it! The place was cool and clean and their service was well organized. What I liked most was they will tell you in advance what to expect. In my situation, I want boba and pudding in medium size, so the chosen size will not have much of the milk tea then since I have two sinkers. They immediately let me know what to expect and recommend what will give the full experience. About the tea, we ordered the Signature Kung Fu Tea, one that have pudding one that doesn't have one. We've now had it 4 times (although we've had "it" a lot more times) and it has never let us down (and I've never let Barbie down during "it"). They know how to make it, the levels are all perfect, and they're extremely friendly. They said that they are the same owners as the Clear Lake location and possibly formerly the Katy location. Both of those are very good locations as well with very imaginative decor. Generally speaking, Kung Fu Tea scores 5, but it's usually a low 5, considering that it's a massive international corporate chain, whose milk teas don't match up to the best chains: Sharetea, Gong Cha and Coco. However, they're still really good, and the fruit teas here are among the best. Especially the lemon black tea which absolutely rocks my world. If it's not on the menu, demand it! Other fruit teas (Berry, Orange, Grapefruit) must also be ordered off-menu as Black Tea instead of the meh Green. Also the Lemon Black tastes good as a Lemon Oolong, but everyone else hates it because they have bad taste. So come here, to our fave KFT on the planet and tell them Fox and Barbie say hi. My husband and I have been going to Kung Fu Tea for years. It used to be our Sunday thing to get our Taro fix after lunch. Now we live further out, but we still try to stop by when we can. I ordered the Taro slush boboa and it freshingly delightful! I love how the Taro is not to sweet and it was perfect. The tapioca balls were strongly flavored, soft, and chewy.... a very unique taste. Typically tapioca balls are flavorless and just in the drink as an addition but these tapioca balls are there with purpose lol My friend got the jasmine milk tea and it was too milky. The milk was over powering and there wasn't a taste of jasmine. My friend had tried Houston's Kung Fu Tea House and said the Jasmine Milk Tea here wasn't made the same. Next visit when ordering the jasmine milk tea... will request more tea than milk. When walking in to the business the decor is a pop of color and I love the tables and seats. It's a pretty chill environment. We're so excited to have you here!! I first discovered Kung Fu Tea in Dallas a couple of years ago and have been anxiously awaiting your arrival. I usually get the standard milk tea with pudding or the jasmine tea with pudding. You can also adjust your sugar level, I went for the 30% and it was still pretty sweet to me. The hubs is a huge fan of the taro and teas without milk! We went to the soft opening and they were gracious enough to stay open about an hour longer for us. Great customer service and you can order your tea with different levels of sweetness! If you go before 11/4, then you can also get 30% off of your entire order! So go go go! Review update I got the milk cap, 30% sweetness and the pudding with their oolong milk tea, but it was too sweet. The person that made my tea said that it was because of the milk cap and the pudding in my small tea that made it that way. Once he remade my tea without the milk cap and the 50% sweetener, it did taste less sweet, but I would still prefer less sweetener. And I'd say that I do have a pretty big sweet tooth, but this was very sweet. I would recommend getting the milk cap with no sweetness if you're considering the milk cap at all. read more

I normally go to a closer bubble tea place by me if I am craving boba, but I saw they had a bogo promotion on the app for July 4th so I decided to download the app and make the drive. The app was easy to use and I had no problem paying through the app. I like how you can choose the sweetness and ice level the way you want. It also shows all the topping that are available for extra cost. I got the yogurt green tea, which has yakult yogurt in it. I always will get this drink if I see it on the menu as not all boba shops have it on their menu. I had it at 70% sweet level and it was great. The boba was chewy and sweet which I appreciate. I am so so glad that Kung Fu Tea finally opens a branch in San Antonio! I have been a fan of their Boba Milk Tea since I first tried theirs in Houston. So I already know this one is also going to be good. Disclaimer: this is not an ad but I did get to go to their media tasting. But I'm going to tell it how it is and be honest with all my reviews per usual. I have gotten a chance to go to their media tasting yesterday and the Manager was awesome! He was very nice and accommodating. The staff was also really sweet and friendly! All smiles since the moment you walk into the store. I am a matcha lover and so I ordered the Matcha Milk Tea with Boba. However, I was warned by the staff that their matcha drink isn't their favorite and it is kind of chalky. I decided to go with it anyway, and I should have listened. It wasn't horrible but it definitely had the chalky/ powdery quality to it. So I talked to the manager afterwards and he was very receptive and he actually said, they are trying to improve their matcha drinks but as of right now, they are not recommending it to anyone. So there you go, maybe stay away from their matcha for a while. One star off because I was disappointed with the matcha, but hey at least they were honest to their customers! We got to try other drinks from the HUGE SELECTION that they have. My favorite so far is their original KF Milk Tea with Boba and their Taro Slush with Oreos. The Taro Slush with Oreos was so so good! Not too sweet either so I finished the large cup of that, it was good! I also like their Oolong Milk Tea as well but the flavor definitely is a bit stronger than the original KF Milk Tea. And surprisingly, the manager recommended us their special hot drink - the brown sugar ginger tea. Oh my god, this tea gives me all the feels. It's warming and it's soothing! Terrible customer service. I find it really STRANGE that YELP deleted my review. They called it "extraordinary circumstances." Here's the FACTS: 1. Employee Molly was rude to my ENTIRE family 2. The rudeness was in the way she attempted to remind my child to out his mask on. I call it more of an insult because rather than saying "excuse me, do you mind putting your mask on, our business requires it," she said in a loud and harsh voice "you're not wearing a mask?!" Mind you, we were ALL wearing masks. My son ran in so quick and was on his phone that he literally forgot to put it over his face. To be fair, there is no mask mandate in TX and there are several business NOT requiring it so the inconsistency has thrown us off a bit. It was an honest mistake and if she had asked politely, I wouldn't even been writing this review. 3. After I informed the other workers of her rudeness and to please make sure it gets to management, she proceeds to talk sh*t after I leave. How do I know this? Check out Melanie R. review! She's my sister who was STILL IN the store while I walked out. Her entire family heard the initial rude exchange toward my son when we all first walked in. Shame on you YELP for trying to hide the truth. I do believe in 2nd chances and that people can better themselves. Located near the Shops at La Cantera and the University of Texas San Antonio, this shop can definitely cater towards the college crowd. I stopped in and got a thai tea with no bobba and 50% sugar because I've really gotta cut that in my diet... While I waited for my drink, I started to take more in of the interior. A fun modern vibe that's good for sitting and chatting as well as studying. They have their large menu above and behind the register while a smaller, seasonal menu of specials is located at the register. I got my drink and didn't stay. The drink was smooth and definitely at 50% sugar... for better or for worse of my own personal choosing. The flavors were right, but overall I was not jumping for joy. If it because I have become accustomed to good bubble teas so that nothing surprises me anymore? Was it the 50% sugar? Was it that the traffic on the 1604 loop took the joy out of me and I could no longer enjoy the little things? Nobody knows. The staff has been consistently gracious, accepting all the special offers during soft opening and taking fully customized orders since then. For drink sweetness, they offer it at 100%, 70%, 50%, 30%, and 0%. You can also adjust ice levels at no extra cost for "less ice." I personally go for 30% and regular ice! Egg pudding is my go-to topping. It's more of a super-soft, vanilla jello consistency than what comes to mind with the word "pudding." I like it more than boba pearls because it's always made perfectly, mildly sweet, and fun to slurp. Please try it with any milk tea! I also love the seating choices and tall windows! I love KFT. I was beyond excited when I found out it was coming to SA, stalking their social media pages like a creeper until it finally opened. I feel like KFT is the Starbucks of boba tea. It's popping up everywhere. You expect the consistency no matter where you go (Dallas, Houston, Austin, Cali). This particular location has yet to master their tapioca though. I've been here at least 4 times since it opened and we've always had tough to chew tapioca, bland tapioca, or clumped/stuck together where we can't sip it through the straw. We've had bland or inconsistent (with other KFT) drinks here also. Let's just hope they get it right soon because when we do decide to drive to the other side of town for KFT, we would like to NOT be disappointed with our drinks. 4 stars because this particular location always messes up my order or drink somehow. My fiance and I had a Bananagrams gaming war here a night not too long ago. After coming from the hectic confines of a Costco warehouse, Kung Fu Tea was a perfect reprieve. I ordered a traditional milk tea with boba, and my partner ordered an orea slush. Both were perfectly done, and I might add that Kung Fu always does an excellent job with just the right consistency in boba chewiness. Yum! The ambience here is super laid back both with the clientele and the staff. I never felt pressured to order quickly, and it genuinely seems like people enjoy working here and with each other. Never a dull moment either with their epic board game library. There was not a group in sight who wasn't making use of a chess board or connect four if they weren't simply talking or on a laptop working. Excellent balance of people there for work, play or somewhere in between. The atmosphere feels quite chill for either. This is the spot to be for people needing a break from uber uptight workspaces or cafes geared towards children. Mature yet still a bit quirky - just my style. read more
