Just discovered this location in Santee and it is so much closer to my house so now i can come here all the time instead of driving 30 minutes to Convoy. It is tucked away in a small little shopping center. Parking can be a little difficult but not too bad. The place itself is cute and quaint. It is really nice and kept clean. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and helped right away. I got a medium wintermelon milk green tea w/boba and it was amaazziinngg!! Also, when i checked in on Yelp, I got a free topping! My go-to drink here is the for sure is the coffee milk tea Boba with a quarter sugar. Coming in second is the Thai Milk Tea boba and I've tried the oreo, wow and that was definitely good but next time I'll order a smaller one because I could've done with less oreo if you know what I mean. read more

I have gone to this location a handful of times but never thought of leaving a review until now. I went in for a to-go Winter Melon Milk Green Tea and had to make a U-turn to come back because it was unusually watery and bland. After I told the cashier, he remade my drink and asked me to try it. After taking a sip, I asked him why it was still watery, because I had never come across this before and I had got the same drink numerous times. He and the manager rolled up their sleeves and got to work, remaking my drink 3 times and tasting the samples themselves each time. Eventually, they told me that their syrup batch might have caused the problem and asked me if I would like a replacement drink. I wanted to give them 5 stars because they went out of their way to get to the bottom of it. My drink was remade 4 times in total and they even did it in slow motion to make sure all measurements were correct. I would definitely recommend this place to other people, especially when they have more snacks than the one on Convoy Street. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE. It's a smaller location so it's not too busy and the service is great. They have games for groups to play. First time here, I am not impressed. Staff was not helpful almost rude when asking questions about drinks and made me feel very rushed to order because I was " holding up the line". I'm happy to say that after numerous visits to this location that I needed to update my review. Since my first encounter the customer service has been wonderful. I especially love that they have an app which makes ordering, getting rewards, and discounts that much easier. I can't believe I haven't left this place a review!! This is by far my favorite boba spot in SD. Whether it's this location or Convoy, their boba is always on point, texture and taste. I have tried a lot of drinks there, but my favorites by far are the Honey Black Milk Tea, wintermelon green milk tea, and the regular kung fu milk tea. I love this spot. I can't have dairy and a lot of their options are dairy free, which I guess is probably why some of the (few) low star reviews say it tastes "off". My best friend and I had lunch at Takka Sushi yesterday and decided to stop in at KFT and try it out for dessert. We walked in and were instantly greeted by three friendly ladies and as we had never been there before, were given suggestions for drinks. Now let me just start out by saying that I'm slightly lactose intolerant and was so happy to find that every drink they make is made with lactose free or non-dairy milk. To me, this is the best thing because Santee does not have many drink style dessert choices with these types of milk substitutes and I don't have to load up on lactose pills to enjoy the drinks. I chose the taro milk green tea with the "less" sweet option and my friend chose the coffee milk tea with the 100% sweet option, both with boba. We also got three macaron ice cream sandwiches to bring home for our roommate as a surprise. Each thing we got was extremely delicious and I already am planning my next visit with the intention of trying something else. The delicious teas mixed with the cute store and friendly staff has me absolutely over the moon about this place! read more

We tried out this new location in Santee after enjoying Pho next door. We were excited to try this new place especially since we like boba. The menu was confusing at first. Their way of labeling amounts of sweetness and sugar is a bit odd. I think there has to be a better way. Sometimes too many option can be bad. I don't feel 100% they really know if they are adding 50% or 30% of sugar or what not. Because our drinks seemed to be 100% pure sugar. It tasted great but hard to believe there was no sugar. Maybe we are more the "in-n-out burgers" types -- A few options of great food -- rather than too many options that confuse you and have you stand in front of the menu for 15 min. Then again maybe we are not used to so many different types of "boba type drinks and tea" Cost was very expensive in our opinion. We opted out of getting Vietnamese Ice Tea with Boba at Pho Ca Dao to try out this new place. We wish we didn't. For half the price we would have enjoyed our typical Boba Viet Ice Tea. Really delicious Thai tea with the squishiest most tastiest boba. I've tried a sip of the Rosehip tea, which was very yummy, and the Oreo milk tea--good too, yet I might recommend less Oreos, since it's a bit sweet on its own. I placed an order online, normally the app uses my geolocation and orders from the location nearest to me (super easy love it). Unfortunately it placed the order at a location 30 min away from me. I called immediately after I ordered to cancel but the manager Sin vong was so rude! He told me he wouldn't cancel it even though they didn't start making it (I asked) and would not refund my money so I can get my order at the location near me! He repeatedly hung up the phone when I called and tried to talk to him. Very unprofessional and I'm only 20 years old. I can't imagine how he acts with his employees. read more

Staff is very nice. Customer service is on point. Establishment is clean and decorated very well. It's a great place to sit and enjoy the company of your friends. They also have a great selection of board games. The drinks are pretty good. I like to get a thai tea slush. This is a special request. But I love a thai tea smoothie, and I'm so glad they can make it. I'm not a fan of boba. So I have not yet tried it, but the pudding is pretty great with all my favorite drinks. It's very soft and does not have a weird texture. When choosing how to make your drink, you can ask for more or less "sweet". I usually like extra sweet, they're drinks are usually not too sweet. I have tried the mango slush before. That was INCREDIBLY sweet when we asked for lightly sweetened. I liked it a lot!!!!! My boyfriend liked the flavor but was not fond of how sweet it was. If I could give it zero stars I would... I recently moved to Lakeside, when I crave boba this is unfortunately the only place fairly close to me. The first few times: me and my boyfriend have gotten the exact same drink; down to the type, sugar level, and boba; yet they tasted completely different. Then they discontinued Thai tea for a few months, during that time we've went to get boba at Pho Ca Dao a few doors down. Today I saw they had 'New Recipe' for Thai tea; my boyfriend convinced me to give it another shot. Low and behold nothing but disappointment yet again. The so called 'New Recipe' is DISGUSTING. Not only is the taste bad but the prices are unreasonable. We've bought 5 drink that racked up a total of $30, equivalent to a full meal! I'd advise you to PLEASE save your money and go to the pho place a few doors down. They're drinks always taste the same; and price is half a drink at Kung fu tea. read more

As someone who has dietary restrictions, I find it hard to order boba drinks as my options are really limited. KF Tea however, is one of the most diet friendly boba shops around. Part of their menu is dedicated to lactose free drinks aka "milk strike". Their menu also provides descriptions of each drink which helps distinguish which items are caffeine free. My go to's are the iced Wintermelon w/herbal jelly or the Jujube & Logan iced tea with herbal jelly and crystal boba. If you have not tried the crystal boba (clear gelatin versus tapioca balls) you're missing out! I do not recommend the coconut milk tea. It reminded me of Panang curry but I digress. I always use the KF tea app to order ahead, pick up and get out really quickly. Besides the coconut milk tea, there isn't a drink I've tried and didn't like. I also recommend the puffle pandan waffle if you are in the mood for a snack to go with your drink. read more
