One of my most favorite places to go for boba or smoothies is Kung Fu Tea. I have been going there since they opened and they never disappoint. My favorite ones are mango snow, taro smoothie with boba, and recently the cocoa cream wow and I add a pudding to it even tho it comes with brown sugar boba. If you had tiger sugars brown sugar milk tea or the deerioca from Alley then it's the closest it gets to those. The mango snow comes with mango jelly and I just like it as it is. If I want a hot drink then I prefer getting the olong tea hot with regular boba and it's really good warm as the boba are kinda more chewy that way. The service is always good which is a plus. read more

Giving 5 stars to the Springfield location mostly for convenience -- easy parking, good seating area, and there's never a long wait (if you've been to other KFT locations, you'd understand). As for the drinks -- they've always been reliable. There's plenty of choices, and you can customize per your preference. I like that they have other options for "toppings", as I'm not a big tapioca fan. I've gotten so used to using jellies that if I go to other boba places that don't have it, I get slightly disappointed. I believe they have an app that ties in to their rewards program. Haven't gotten it since I don't make enough trips to be involved. For those who do, you might want to check that out. Recommendations: My staple order is a winter melon milk green tea with herbal jelly, but I've also enjoyed their taro teas and any of the fruit slushies. read more

The wait and lack of COVID and social distancing precautions during a pandemic is really astonishing. At least 25 people waiting at a time- makes sense considering there is a 45 minute wait. I was number 7 in line and number 19 got their order before me. Don't waste your time, go to Kokee tea in springfield or Ocha in Annandale. UPDATE: ordered thai tea and my friend got mango slush with mango jelly. Love the prices and the options, I always prefer real fruit in my slushies and smoothies...but I guess having half and half is okay too. Great thing about this place is you can alter your sugar and ice level in the liquid drinks. Toppings and flavors galore!!! Be specific though, depending on who's at the register you will either be asked if you want a topping that typically comes in it or you wont. For example, mango snow( my fave) comes with mango jelly. Some will say you have to ask and majority will ask if you still want it! To me I love it so I always assume I will have that in there... love that it's also super close by! Can never go wrong with King Fu Tea, but sometimes the black tea is too bitter. Service is always quick and accurate. The only disappointment that I have is during Covid, although there are 6 ft distancing signs, the patrons hardly follow and the young folks crowd around inside and workers don't try to enforce the rules. First time here! I got the caramel macchiato slush with bubbles. This was not only my first time here, but my first time having bubble tea. For starters the place is set up like a coffee shop. It's very clean inside and there is indeed seating. The tea was very good, but I also learned something. I like Kung Fu Tea, but I apparently don't like "bubble" tea. Not their fault. I tried it and next time will leave out the bubbles. I will go back and next time try a non slush tea. Overall, a great find for the day. Oh, and prices are very reasonable. Delicious and Real flavor! Well, we love milk tea and smoothies/shake and after moving to US we had been looking for at least one good place to get it... and there is Kung Fu Tea! Their products taste as good as those places we have back in our country... milk teas and other in my opinion are superb! But our favorite is their MANGO SLUSH with Mango Jelly in it. I COULD TASTE THE SWEET MANGO FLAVOR in it! It makes me feel like I'm home and it also saves me effort of finding a good mango (which i found very difficult) every time boyfriend craves for Mango smoothie... Now we have one good place to go... Highly recommended!!! And if owner happens to read this, can you please kinda put a branch in Woodbridge/Lake Ridge area??? This location of Kung Fu Tea is very fun! They opened in 2016 here in Springfield, VA as a fusion kind of Asian-inspired drink selections and have really caught on in popularity and business. Originally they gave out local coupons to come in and get a discount beverage selection, now, they don't appear to need it as the service line is generally 5-10 minute wait. Each choice from the menu can be customized, and to the customer's taste, and we have never been disappointed with any picks or suggestions by the staff. The staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely want customers to try and like their drinks! Recommended for folks who are visiting from out-of-town as a quirky cultural food venue. read more

I've always been afraid of trying bubble tea. Our trusty community manager had an event at another kung fu location and I was able to try some three tea in a less intimidating situation lol... turns out the lemon black tea with the bubbles was amazing! I wasn't really keen on trying with the other flavors just yet. We came into this location with my kids because I wanted to and they wanted to try it. We ended up making for different transactions because we needed to get our drinks then wanted to get my husbands last because we were taking it home to him. My son didn't like his drink so I had my tea, and his strawberry lemonade green tea with mango poppers and bubbles and both were delicious. He ended up getting a taro milk with Oreos and it was great! Alex had the mango green tea slushee mmmm! My only complaint is the cost is a little excessive for a family getting 4 to 5 drinks but other than that absolutely amazing!! read more

Omg! I was so excited last year when I found out that there was a kung fu tea closer to Woodbridge. This place makes the boba perfectly al dente! I've moved on from iced beverages (temporarily) and have been enjoying the hot honey oolong milk and winter melon milk teas. I highly recommend to get both with boba. The hot drinks makes the boba so chewy and delicious. They have a rewards program which is kinda stingy. Its per visit like the old Starbucks program instead of per dollar spent. First time here and got a strawberry lemonade because it's so late. Once the sugar hit my tongue I knew I was going to be happy. (I am.) My friend got an actual tea with a ton of toppings- the tea had the perfect amount of sweetness, they included a generous amount of toppings that were all delicious, and they didn't load it with ice. The aloe was my favorite, the poppers give a nice burst of flavor, and the bubbles were consistently soft and gummy. This is the closest location of King Fu Tea. I usually get what my husbands previous orders that I like one of which is the green milk tea slush with boba and the mango milk tea slush with nata. Omg!!! It's just so freaking good and I can't get enough of it. At one point when we decided to give it a try the second time because our first was disappointing, we loved it and got bubble tea every other day for 2 weeks! We've tried other locations and I think this is the best because even if there were a lot of people, the employees work ninja fast to get the orders out and it's consistent flavor and amount of boba/ nata. My old standby is a taro green tea or taro milk tea with pudding, less sugar, and it was excellent at this location as well. KFT produces some of the best bubble tea in the area but I recently went and had to wait 25 minutes for a drink. It wasn't even crowded inside, it was just really slow service. I was in a rush and didn't plan on waiting that long just for a drink. read more

Kung Fu Tea is my go-to bubble tea spot! I stop by when I'm in the northern Virginia area. I always order the winter melon milk green tea with bubbles and less ice. I also like their Kung fu milk tea and lychee punch! I've ordered one of their yogurt fruity drinks once and it was a bit bitter than other locations. I've also tried working here on my laptop, but internet is sometimes laggy. Overall service is good and it's always a good pick-me-up drink during my day :) Will be back again soon. read more

Good 'ol reliable Kung Fu Tea is now less than 2 miles from where I live. Slightly disastrous, but nonetheless, I was excited to check it out this past weekend. This location is big and spacious with a good amount of seating. Parking is also a lot easier than their Annandale location! I'm not sure if I strolled in during a less busy time during the day, but there wasn't a horrendously long line snaked around the whole store. I got my Honey Green Tea (with bubbles) and was happily on my way. Definitely pleased to see a good boba place in the Springfiend area. Loved Kung Fu Tea! Came here yesterday for the first time and finally got to try it out after hearing so much about it. I got the Kung Fu milk tea with bubbles (or boba) and my sister got the green tea with bubbles. The milk tea was so good and very sweet but still had a nice tea flavor to it. The bubbles are nice and sweet too. I usually get my bubble tea from breeze bakery where there bubble tea has a smoothie like texture. The one from Kung fu tea was just like a regular iced drink but was very delicious and refreshing! I didn't like the green tea as much it was a little bland for my taste. Overall, really great! I became loyal to the chain when I was introduced to the Annandale location sometime last year, and was delighted to see that there is a location that is: - much closer to me - half of the wait, if not more - no compromise on quality compared to the Annandale location If you're new to boba tea, I highly recommend the large pineapple slush with bubbles. That said, I'm currently very much enjoying the matcha slush, as well, so if matcha's your thing, I like that one, too. Thank me later! Had a sweets craving after dinner at Taco Bamba and was thrilled to see there was a Kung Fu Tea right across the street. This location was clean, staff was friendly and boba was delicious; hit the sweets craving. We had the pineapple boba and the season carribean breeze slush with boba. Another typical run of the mill KFT. I went on the second or third day of opening, approximately 1 hour before closing time. I ordered the strawberry lemon green tea (for the first time) with nata jelly and I think I've found my new go-to drink! Sadly the establishment was out of black or green tea (can't remember which) so I had to substitute for oolong. The people making my drink let me taste it made with oolong before they assembled the whole thing, which I really appreciated, so extra props for customer service. I have been a frequent flyer to Kung Fu Tea for a while now. I've ranted and raved to my friends and family about this place. But now I have to stop! I have been using their app to purchase my drinks and I ordered the Cocoa Milk Wow but when I got my drink it was original. The difference was the Milk Cap and the Wow Boba. I wrote the office and they told me they would notify the store and I haven't heard anything. Disappointing! Guess we need to try Kokee at the Mall. read more

I like that Kung Fu Tea is popping up all over the DMV. The Springfield location is another solid addition. This location is bright, clean ( though smaller than the Annandale location), and nicely decorated. It was busy as other Kung Fu Teas are. The line moved and staff quickly worked to make everyone's orders. On this visit I decided to try the Matcha Milk teas with regular boba. My drink was good and the consistency of the boba was spot on. It is very heavy on the Matcha flavor so if you like Match Green Tea you will like this one. There is a Kung Fu Tea in almost every parts of NOVA! Can't go wrong with KFT though. This location is less busy than the Annandale one. So if I am in Springfield, I'll stop here if I am in the mood for bubble tea. One thing I like about KFT is adjusting the sweetness. Sometimes the drinks are too sweet and you cannot taste the flavor of the drink. Also, KFT added poppers to the drinks. There are new some flavors on the menu but I always stick to my go to flavor (Taro, Milk Tea and Wintermelon Milk Tea). One thing I noticed is that the boba has a strong honey taste. read more

The drinks here are good. But the people who work here don't know about the product they are selling. I asked what is caffeine free and two ppl said green tea and oolong. I said those have caffeine and they looked dumbfounded at me. Then told me certain things cant be made hot like almond milk tea because of sugar in it. I'm like are u dumb??? This is why I like the annandale location and Starbucks. Come here if want the usual and have no questions. UPDATE: I got a message from the owner Wes who said my review was "stupid." If leaving a honest customer experience review is "stupid" than that says a lot about the value of the establishment. Typically, Management would say "I'm sorry you had a bad experience.
